Technically Dead by Tia Fielding

Technically Dead
When Brandon Roland’s parents kicked him out for being gay, he turned to prostitution to get by—something that almost cost him his life when he was attacked by strangers. Bran was saved by a vampire named Heath, and during their year together, Bran’s life was good—but then Heath sent him packing for reasons unknown.

That was twelve years ago, and Bran’s come a long way since then. He has an education, a job as a social worker at a vampire/human youth shelter, friends, and a tattoo he adds to annually to commemorate another year without the love of his life.

The trouble with being a very old vampire is that the older you are, the less you feel. Heath is over nine hundred—he was sure he'd never experience emotion again, but he never counted on Bran. When Heath accidentally stumbles back into Bran’s life, it changes more than either man thought possible—and then history literally catches up with them and turns their lives inside out

This was a story I truly enjoyed reading, there is laughter, some tears, and some seriously Hot sex! The character of Brandon became my favorite immediately and I swear the way his tattoo is described I could see it so easily. I was very impressed with this authors writing, not only could I almost see the tattoo other descriptions were made very clear.

Brandon's had a very tough life, but he has rose above it and is working in a field he loves with homeless teens & vampire teens. Of course he's never forgotten his first and only love the vampire Heath a 900 yr old whose almost lost his humanity until he rescues Bran when he's beaten and left for dead.

But when things heat up between the two Heath pushes Bran out. Afraid to love Heath soon realizes that he's made the worst mistake of his life, and for twelve yrs they're both still struggling to get over each other. Then on the night of the twelfth yr they literally run in to each other. I loved Brans friends and how they stand by him even to the point of making a elder vampire nervous, Tony, Adam, Ric & Kris all make the sweetest and caring family for Brandon.

The action/drama storyline just added to the story but it's first and for most a reunited love story. This entertaining story is Highly recommended and I hope to read more by this author.
