The CEO and the Cowboy by Starla Kaye

The CEO and the Cowboy
The whole thing about relationships and feelings confuses the heck out of Calhoun. He’s a simple cowboy and he’d been planning to marry a long-time friend for a while. When he finally realizes it doesn’t feel right, he lets her go. He probably shouldn’t have gone to her wedding to another man, but she wanted him there. But that’s when he really gets confused. His eye is drawn to a seriously hot businessman…and that sure does unnerve him…and yet….

Emotionally burned by the last man he thought he’d loved, Daniel isn’t anxious to replace him. But there is something about the proud, bedroom-eyed cowboy who shows up at his friend’s wedding. The CEO isn’t even sure if the cowboy’s gay, although the heat firing between them makes him wonder….

What he does know is that he plans to find out

                                                                     2 STARS

I have to say I did not like this book, first the "relationship" doesn't work for me. I mean this "straight" guy goes home with a man he meets at the wedding of his former fiance, then they perceive to have sex in which Calhoun doesn't freak out at all. At least not for a while then he decides he's not gay says some really awful things to break up with Daniel. But that's not why I didn't like this story what made me not like it was the huge holes in the storyline, we don't really get who the characters are and why they act the way they do, and the timeline jumps to quickly and we seem to miss to much for me to have gotten into this story and enjoy it, basically it just pissed me off. The plot to this story could have been awesome, I mean a Cowboy and a CEO sounded exciting and sexy too, but I didn't feel like it was written as well as it could have been. This story just left me frustrated, sorry but I won't recommend.

Angel's Redemption (Men of Charlestown #4) by Andi Anderson

Angel's Redemption (Men of Charlestown, #4)
Since Jackson's partner died, life has become one big routine. When he meets his neighbor, Elijah, he's intrigued by the mysterious man and the somber world Jackson has lived in becomes something exciting and beautiful.

Elijah needed a fresh start. When he was younger, he worked in the dark world of pornography. Life was spinning out of control from drug abuse and living an existence he despised living. Finding the strength to change, he moves to Charlestown. He meets, Jackson, he feels a connection with him he's never felt before.

Elijah is frightened to reveal his past. Fear of losing the one man he's come to rely keeps him silent and Elijah becomes determined to be the man who is worthy of Jackson's love. When Elijah's secrets are revealed, will Jackson be able to see past his former life and stand proudly beside the man Elijah is today?

                                                           4.25 STARS

This book was so sweet but it made my cry like a baby, don't get me wrong it was a wonderful beautiful love story with a decent amount of angst throw in it just had some moments that tugged at my heart.

I loved the character of Elijah I just wanted to wrap him in my arms and take care of him, so glad he meets Jackson who is living with his own heart break. But the two of them hit it off and it develops into more, I enjoyed this story even the crying like a baby moments but my favorite part is getting to see Shiloh again I loved his character a lot.

I recommend but make sure you have some tissues on hand, this story is a sweet beautiful love story that will make you smile even as you cry.

Unthinkable (Tate Pack #1) by Vicktor Alexander

Unthinkable (Tate Pack, #1)
Richard Tillson was happy with his life...well...sort of. He has spent the last few years of his life making a name for himself in the dance community, has a very expensive apartment in Manhattan and he knows he's gorgeous. So why is he so miserable?

Enter Vernon "Vet" Tate. The older brother of Richard's best friend Amanda Lynn. The first time the two men meet it's when Vet is saving Richard's life from an oncoming vehicle. Moments later Vet is turning Richard's life upside down by telling him that his baby sister, who had passed weeks before, left her three newborn children to Richard, to share custody with Vet.

Things wouldn't have been so bad for Vet, a wolf shifter, if Richard wasn't also his mate, his very human, very male, mate.

So how will Richard cope with becoming a father, giving up his sophisticated New York lifestyle for a ranch out in Wichita Falls, Texas, and finding out that not only do shape shifters exist, but he's the mate of the Alpha?

                                                                 4.75 STARS

I know I may get some shit for this one but what can I say I freaking Loved it. Yes It jumps into a very fast relationship, and yeah I may have had a few eyebrow raising moments but Unthinkable was hilarious and sexy and sweet and just adorable.

Richard's character was so well described I swear I have meet this man before LOL yes I really felt like I knew this character. Although we'll say he goes with the flow a little to easily I didn't feel like I was missing anything, and he does still have questions and issues even with not freaking out over the shape shifting thing and he settles very easily with being a co-parent to triplets. Just a side note I have three kids and I would be effing freaking my ass out seriously!!! But I really liked Richards' character a lot.

Vets' character we don't get as much info on but he still came across as fun, and loveable especially with being mates with Richard. And Damn the sex is Scorching HOT!! We're talking needing a cold shower HOT!! Yeah my inner perv is really happy. The action/drama storyline plays out well without being angsty, and I enjoyed getting to know the secondary characters also.

I have already bought the next books in this series yes I really liked this story, so I will Highly Recommend and will be back to review the next one soon.

                                    4.75 STARS

I'm struggling with which story is my favorite 4 or 5, I think I'll have to say both because outta all 5 so far these two books made me not only want more but gave me the chemistry between the MC's and the intense story I was looking for also.

In Full Circle Manny which we met in previous books is the IT guy, but he's also trained for combat too so that makes him sexy, nerdy and dangerous all at the same time and that sooo worked for me. I felt we got more to his character than any of the previous ones, so we're not surprised when his past actually becomes a serious part to the drama for this book. Plus we get to watch Manny in action both in and out of the bedroom.

Josh was just the sweetest character, he reminded me alot of Morgan, from the first book so it was awesome to see them get along so well. The ex boyfriend at the beginning was an interesting surprise but fun too and what a way for Josh & Manny to meet. The sparks fly between these two but there's such a sweet love story wrapped up in all the action too. I felt so bad for everything Josh is going through but it was nice that he is finally finding a place to fit in.

I can't wait for the next book which I hope is Jake & Sean but I don't know for sure, so I just gotta be patient. What am I saying my OCD is gonna be screaming till the next one LOL. Full Circle is an exciting story with a sweet love story woven into it  I highly Recommend

Hot and Cold (Midnight Matings #17) by Gabrielle Evans

Hot and Cold (Midnight Matings, #17)
Technically, no one invited Theris to the gathering, because technically he wasn’t supposed to have a mate. None of that really mattered to him, though. He hadn’t gone looking for someone to hook up with. Once he sets sights on Ryo, however, he’s very glad he made the trip.

Immediately captivated by the dark angel with the bright smile, Ryo Dantis figured it was a no-brainer to choose Theris as his mate. Unfortunately, he hadn’t taken into account how far his grandfather would go to ensure he upholds his familial obligations to produce heirs for his Djinn clan.

When Theris goes missing right from their home, there are no lengths to which Ryo won’t go to find and rescue the man he loves. Can he save Theris in time and break the spell? Or will he lose everything because of the greediness of others?

                                                                    4.5 STARS

This series always surprises me, which I thoroughly enjoy btw. This one was funny and really cute but had some drama included to make it exciting. Theris as the reaper was hilarious and doing his job near the end of this story was so funny given his situation. Ryo took me a little longer to really like, but he eventually grew on me. His paranoid and reading up on everything after he and Theris get together was funny too. And getting to see Hades & Miles again was awesome since Hades was one of my top favorite characters. This was an interesting story from the start to the finish I Recommend.

Bound by Danger (Men of Honor #4) by SE Jakes

Bound by Danger (Men of Honor, #4)
The danger that drew them together could send them over the edge…

Men of Honor, Book 4

Playing the role of enforcer in the Killers motorcycle club, all CIA operative Clint “Tomcat” Sommers has to do is make sure he has a body to show for his work. Thanks to his ability to move stealthily and easily between the two worlds, the CIA is damned close to making one of its biggest MC gang busts.

Two years undercover have taken their toll, but there’s no backing out now. Tomcat’s only reprieve from the pressure is fantasizing about the newest member of the gang.

Worry for his cousin’s involvement in the Killers drove Navy SEAL Jace Reynolds to agree to infiltrate the gang to do some short-term surveillance for the FBI. The deal: do the job, and his cousin gets witness protection. When he meets Tomcat, though, his fantasies kick into overdrive. Meeting men while on active duty is tough. Acting on his desires within the club could have deadly consequences.

Despite the risks, Tomcat’s and Jace’s off hours flare hotter than a full-throttle burnout. But the smoke is bound to attract unwanted attention. And when Tomcat suddenly disappears, the secrets both warriors keep could send one of them to the grave.

                                                                               5 STARS

The first book of this series I loved, the second I really really liked, the third was pretty good, but this one effing ROCKED! I was hooked on this series with the very first book but the last two in this series left me wondering if I should even buy the fourth one, don't get me wrong they were good stories they just weren't anywhere as awesome as the first one, and I was left with way too many unanswered questions plus felt really lost in on the characters in book three more than two. But anyway I'm soo glad I stuck it out Bound by Danger was in my opinion even better than the first Men of Honor book.

I wanted to be entertained and I definitely was, the chemistry between Jace & Clint is incredible plus I got plenty of info on the action/ drama storyline in this book which made it more intriguing on top of all that we get some intel on the characters in previous books and got to meet an new potential couple hopefully for a future book.

Jace & Clint(Tomcat) both have some serious issues with trust and what both of their secretive jobs involve them in. I really liked that both were willing to fight for each other even when they were fighting with each other. I also really enjoyed the fact that it wasn't a fast relationship it took a really long time. I really don't wanna give the story away but there were so many wonderful and surprising plots to this story that I felt captivated the entire book. The characters and plot points were easy to follow and I felt that all my questions were answered without any confusion or frustration. I simply LOVED this story. I Highly Recommend

Doby's Lessons (Brats In Training) by Stormy Glenn

Doby's Lessons (Brats in Training, #1)
Doby Rathom wants to expand his sex life. Hell, he just wants a sex life, and he believes having a Dom will do just that. He decides to place an ad in the local paper and find one. Only, as luck would have it, or not have it, he accidently hits the wrong button and his e-mail is sent to the head of his department, Taylor McKinley, who is also the sexiest man Doby has ever met in his life.

Doby is mortified, and also in jeopardy of losing his job. When Taylor makes him an offer to train him to be a sub in exchange for not placing the ad, Doby is all for it. Especially if it means he gets to experience his training at the hands of the handsome Dom. Oh yeah, and he can keep his job. It's a win-win situation.

Until Doby starts receiving blackmail threats.

Someone is out to get Doby and he doesn't have a clue who it could be. His best friend? One of his coworkers? Taylor? Before Doby can discover who is trying to blackmail him, he first has to learn to be a sub. But when the blackmailer strikes again, running to Taylor for help seems like the right decision. But, is it? Will Taylor be his savior or his downfall?

                                                                               4 STARS

As this is a new series by two of my favorite authors, Stormy Glenn & Lynn Hagen, this was a pretty good start. I found the premise of this story hilarious mainly because Doby sending that email to his boss by accident is soo something I would do and I had to LMAO. Taylor was an interesting Dom that realizes an opportunity when it's dropped in his lap. The relationship between Taylor & Doby was fast but seemed really comfortable and the Dom/sub training aspect went very smoothly of course the sex scenes were awesome. I really didn't see who the blackmailer was coming so I was surprised but it made it really interesting and made me want more. I can't wait to read the next book, which I already bought so I recommend.
