Where Nerves End (Tucker Springs #1) by L.A. Witt

Where Nerves End (Tucker Springs, #1)
Welcome to Tucker Springs, Colorado: Population, 70-something-thousand. Home to beautiful mountain views, two respected universities, and a ridiculously high cost of living.

Jason Davis can handle a breakup. And an overwhelming mortgage. And a struggling business. And the excruciating pain that keeps him up at night thanks to a shoulder injury. Handling all of it at once? Not so much. When his shoulder finally pushes him to a breaking point, he takes a friend’s advice and gives acupuncture a try.

Michael Whitman is a single dad struggling to make ends meet. When a mutual friend refers a patient, and that patient suggests a roommate arrangement to alleviate their respective financial strains, Michael jumps at the opportunity.

Living together would be easy if Jason wasn’t so damned attracted to Michael. Good thing Michael’s straight, or the temptation might just be too much.

Well, their mutual friend says Michael is straight…

There's a funny story to getting this book I have to tell first, see I'm a big LA Witt fan right? so I bought this book as soon as it came out on Amazon, well a few days earlier I had enter a contest to win a copy of this book, now I'm not kidding when I say I'm extremely forgetful or my ADD kicks in and I just plain think like I'll check my email and then realize I forgot to check for three days. What can I say I make a gazillion notes to myself all the time. Anyway back to the contest I ended up winning so bless her heart Ms. Witt was kind enough to let choose something else, which she didn't have to do but she did, so first off here's a thank you to Ms. Witt and now we'll go on to review.

I honestly don't think I have ever read a LA Witt book that didn't reach in an grab my heart to where I fell head over heels in love with each character or cried my friggin eyes out over the intense emotions that I feel as do her characters. This book is no different while Jason became such an endearing character for me, I mean the guys heart is broken, his body seems to be falling apart and his finances are killing him and he's literally hanging on by a thread, he doesn't want to give up he's trying to think of ways to not only save his business but his house as well. He just won't give up I loved that about his character.

Michael took me some getting to know before I loved his character, the part I think that got me was the first guy he's with, maybe it's just me but it irked the hell outta me and then the whole lets go back to roommates deal He made my Jason cry I did not like that about him. But as he finally pulls his head outta his ass I gave him another shot he took it and scored big time YAY! And I gotta say my absolute favorite character was Seth I really hope to get his story soon. And Dammit I love it when I learn something new in  a story like when I learned how to make Dirty Kisses (it's a drink) from same named book by Sean Michael Love them by the way you have to be careful you can't taste the rum at all LOL Yes I learned that the hard way But in this book Doc Michael tells Jason how to lessen the pain of  headaches which No Shit it works I have tried it. That totally rocked. I highly recommend this wonderful story. And OMG can't wait for the next one in this series which is written by Heidi Cullinan & Marie Sexton YAY my coffee & porn in the morn girls!!!!

Last Stop
When love drifts into his life, danger isn’t far behind.

Sam Mayne’s life is as dull as the dishwater in his small-town Montana diner, and that’s just how he wants it. Quiet, uneventful, safe from his shadowy past. The breezy young drifter who answers his help-wanted ad makes him uneasy in ways he dare not examine too closely. Except he can’t help but be pulled in by Jay Colby’s spunky attitude, endless stories, and undeniable sex appeal.

Fresh off yet another romantic disaster, Jay doesn’t understand his attraction to the taciturn line cook, but there’s no fighting the chemistry that lands them in bed together. Where Sam’s subtly dominant streak takes command, and Jay delights in discovering the pleasures of his submissive side.

Safe in the assumption their relationship is temporary, neither lover holds back when the heat is on. Until Sam’s deadly past catches up with them with a vengeance, forcing him to drop the life he’s built, pick up his lover, and run. As danger cuts closer to the bone, Sam and Jay are forced to face the truth. About themselves, about the depth of their love—and the newly forged bonds that are about to be tested to the limit.

I actually struggled for words on this review I did really enjoy the storyline very much, loved the action and drama in it. But the two main characters didn't do it for me I just didn't feel the chemistry between them, they did have a good storyline on getting into their relationship but I just couldn't help feeling like they were missing something. Of course the action in this book was exciting and on the edge of my seat action packed and that kept me completely hooked to this book. I will say by the end I really did like Sam & Jay together and wanted a HEA very badly. Plus there was plenty of comedy and (my personal favorite) sarcasm that I enjoyed mostly from Jay but it keep my laughing throughout the whole thing. I recommend cause the action storyline was awesome. Of course the sex scenes were pretty damn HOT too. (my other personal favorite LOL)

On Call: Afternoon (On Call) by PD Singer

On Call: Afternoon
New single doctor in town, Keith Hoyer, gets plenty of interest, but is it for himself, the M.D.after his name, or what they think is in his wallet? The patients, of course, are strictly off limits. Each night he goes home to his big, gray tabby cat, Harpo, and unfulfilled dreams.

Then he opens the door to his exam room to find hunky veterinarian Dante James, with whom he’d rather play doctor than treat professionally. Too shy to approach the man, Keith needs Harpo to play matchmaker.

Bonus Story On Call: Cat Clinic

Keith would rather accompany his veterinarian lover Dante on a pro bono day at an animal shelter than spend his Sunday alone. Amid the cages of kitties, Keith discovers how many ways a man can lose his heart

                                                                  3.5 STARS

While I thought this story was cute and adorable, I missed the characters getting to know each other, this love story felt a little rushed for me and lacked more of a storyline. It seemed the story was more about the animals, I will admit that all the animal talk was cute but the Vet Dante kinda reminded me of a cat lady LOL but this story was still cute so I will still recommend.

Embracing the Unexpected by Ella Jade

embracing the unexpected
Sometimes love can be found where we least expect it.

When Parker Phillips, a successful attorney, has a confrontation with his friend Ava's abusive boyfriend, he finds himself facing assault and battery charges, and he's ordered to attend an anger management course. Parker, who has never been attracted to a man, is drawn to Dr. Jace Cross, the psychiatrist leading the class. But how can that be, since Parker is straight?

Jace accepted the fact that he was gay many years ago, and he's comfortable in his sexuality, but he's been single for some time now. He throws himself into his work to fill the lonely void.

Although sparks fly whenever they're together, Parker's reluctant to embrace these feelings he has for another man.

Can the sexy doctor help him discover who he truly is

                                                                          4 STARS

I enjoyed this story it was funny and engaging, and really sweet. The way Parker is so protective of Ava and how he owns up to his behavior made his character a very honest and sincere guy. I enjoyed how he doesn't realize he's gay but Ava gets it by the way he talks about his Anger Management teacher Dr. Jace Cross. Jace I liked just as well he's very attracted to Parker but doesn't push him into anything, he helps Ava and even the part where he doesn't believe that Tyler has nefarious reasons for seeing him again, I still loved this story like I said it was a funny, very sweet love story, where one of the characters comes to term with being gay, it might be too smooth for some but it worked for me. I'm a total sucker for a HEA, Yes I know that's rare in real life, but I don't want to read about real life that's why I read FICTION. I want the fantasy and the love can concur all why you say because that is what makes it so much fun to read for me anyway. I recommend

An Honorable Man by Edward Kendrick

An Honorable Man
Paxton, a forensics scientist whose wife has deserted him and their twin sons, becomes embroiled in trying to catch a serial killer when the boys discover a human finger-bone while rock-hunting. With his job keeping him on the run as more bodies turn up, and his housekeeper on temporary leave, Paxton turns to Jordon, the boys' grade school teacher, to watch them after school.

There is only one problem with this, Paxton and Jordon were lovers before Paxton married. Now, with his wife gone for the past two years, Paxton finds he still has feelings for Jordon, feelings which may be reciprocated. But Paxton is an honorable man. For the sake of his sons who hope their mother may someday return home, and his own belief that she might, he fights his renewed attraction for Jordon.

                                                      3 STARS
I liked this story but not for the romance side of it, but for the interesting murder mystery to which I didn't get resolved. Yes I'm pouting! It could have been an intense drama but falls a little short, the ending is a little too quick for me. I did like the way Paxton talks & and explains things to his kids, very upfront and honest. That right there made me want to keep reading, the love story between Jordon & Paxton didn't work for me I didn't get to know the characters because they had been together like 14 yrs earlier before. So I felt the fell back together a little to easily and quickly, very smooth sailing. Like I said the murder mystery kept me reading this story it was like watching an episode of CSI very cool but it lost me when I didn't get closer for this case, maybe there will be another story to get closer. It was still a good story to read, I will recommend.

Acting Out (Calm and Chaos, #1) by Sharon Maria Bidwell

Acting Out (Calm and Chaos, #1)
When one man is the epitome of calm and the other of chaos, how will they ever admit to loving each other? Can a kiss really change everything?

Nick and Alex have made a very successful movie together. Now they need to decide whether their next project is another joint venture or they go their separate ways creatively. Then the perfect manuscript arrives, offering financial security and future opportunities.

For Nick, the film is his dream: amazing effects, wonderful script, a part every actor aspires to play, and a director everyone’s begging to work with. There’s one snag: Nick and Alex will have to get to rather personal on set.

He has to refuse even though Alex isn’t willing to take no for an answer, and sets out to talk Nick into it. Nick finally agrees, despite a nosy reporter and his brother turning against him. After all, it’s just pretence. It’s not as if he’s gay and wants to make out with his friend…not until Alex kisses him. Then life gets even more complicated and interesting.

                                                                               4.75 STARS

I really liked this story, I did have some minor issues but I enjoyed the story so much they really didn't matter.

I really got into Nick's character. I mean I can see why he is as stressed out as he is, and why it's never occurred to him that he may be gay it's not like he has been busy trying to be a successful actor and keeping his mind focused on succeeding that he doesn't want to disappoint anyone especially his family that he's buried his head in the sand so to speak. So he's very conscious of the character he will need to play in this movie that he has been chosen to play in, and what that could mean for not only himself, but his family too. He just can't say no to Alex.

Now Alex on the other hand while I enjoyed the chemistry & playfulness between the two, most of the time I wanted to beat the hell outta him or at least make him pull his head outta his ass. I mean duh he helps his best friend come to terms with himself but he can't do the same for his own self? I did finally get to where he redeems himself but it takes awhile. And just a side note I really hated Nick's big brother Charles, I didn't like him at all.

I really think you will enjoy this book, I seriously did. And I totally loved the play on Calm & Chaos so cute. I recommend.

Worth the Wait (Time Is Eternity) by Lori Toland

Worth the Wait

He goes back in time and poses as his own uncle to try to make himself more outgoing… but when he runs into his old high school science teacher, Ryan, it’s his current—future—self who ends up changing to look forward instead of back

Now this story I didn't buy I won, in a contest that I entered but I'm very glad that I did win it, in all the Time is Eternity stories that I have read this one was my favorite. It had enough explanation and character development that I didn't feel like I was reading a short story. And the storyline was so interesting that I finished it before I could put it down. I hate giving the story away so I will just say this is an enjoyable, fun story, that will surprise you. I recommend p.s. If you run into me in the past please tell me to invest in technology I want my own Island LOL

Handsome Beast by J.J.Cassidy

Handsome Beast
Once upon a time ...

A modern re-telling of a favorite fairy tale -- with a twist.

On the day after Thanksgiving, thirty-year old lawyer Nic Graziano takes a bus to remote upstate New York to carry out his foolproof suicide plan. Apparently, he needed an idiot-proof plan, because now he's soaking wet, cold, and hopelessly lost in the woods – who would have thought dying of exposure was so difficult? Wide awake for what feels like the first time in weeks, he blunders through the dark, following the scent of wood smoke to a remote house. It doesn't appear to be abandoned, but when no one answers his pounding on the front door, he breaks in through the back. Exhausted, he passes out on the kitchen floor, and wakes up naked – and alone -- in Gavin Lovatt’s sinfully comfortable bed.

Instead of calling the police, Gavin offers Nic a hot meal and a change of clothes. And more, if Nic can believe the looks Gavin is giving him. Over breakfast, Nic confesses that his lover for the past six years dumped him and is now engaged to a woman – outing Nic to his family in the process. Gavin’s obvious interest makes Nic think that a few days of hot rebound sex with a good-looking man is exactly what he needs before going home and rebuilding his life.

Gavin turns out to be funny, affectionate, and sexy as hell, and if Nic can just keep reminding himself this is temporary, everything will be fine. And yes, Nic has questions, lots of them -- like how come a wealthy man in a huge house has no apparent household help -- but he can’t seem to remember to ask. On top of that, Gavin disappears every single night, only to reappear in the morning. Nic doesn’t expect Gavin’s life to stop because he’s here, but he will not tolerate being lied to again.

Nic is the first guy to admit that everybody has baggage, but not everybody has creepy supernatural baggage … and the truth may be stranger than Nic could ever imagine.

I loved this story, it was such an different twist to Beauty & the Beast that I got really wrapped up in this story. It was fun and romantic with some serious emotions & issues thrown in, it was quirky & intense but sweet & sexy too. I really thought this is one of the best twists of a fairytale that I have read, not only cause it's a m/m romance but because I was impressed with the writing. I felt transported to this gorgeous house along with Nic, I had some (just alittle) issue with the way Gavin went about hiding his secret but I got why he had to do it that way. And Damn the intense chemistry between Nic & Gavin WOW! thats all I'll say. (Yes my inner perv is wanting attention too). There was even points that I wanted to bawl my eyes out with the intense emotions from both MC's but it was well worth the few tears to enjoy this story. This book will go on my will read again list. First Class (Pushing the Envelope #10) by Kim Dare

First Class (Pushing the Envelope, #10)

The sequel to Amber Allure’s Best Seller Pushing The Envelope: By Hand...

Joe’s latest note contained very little for Scott to go on. It was little more than an order for Scott to turn up at Joe’s flat. But Joe has plans that he hasn’t put in writing. He fully intends for he and his lover to do something different during this encounter—something he and Scott have never done before.

Will Scott be up for this particular scenario when he discovers what Joe has planned? Or will the scene change everything between them?

Joe’s risking a lot. Will it be worth it?

                                                            4.75 STARS

Apparently it's my day for series' and this is another favorite of mine. Yes I'm multi talented so I can have a million favorites if I want....sticking my tongue out at the meanies....hehe. I love this short mini series I keep wanting Joe to declare his love for Scott or vice versa, the little letters to each other have this couple slowly getting to know each other which is great for us cause we get to see what they each want and need in a partner. I have to say this one threw me for a loop, but it's explained so well that I just fell in love with Joe even more. Scott has so many insecurities that it's great that Joe is so patient and wants Scott as his Sub permanently. I recommend

Me, Myself and I (Dark Reflections #1) by Natasha Duncan Drake

Me, Myself and I (Dark Reflections, #1)
Tristan is an actor and he plays a supervillain in the movies. At least he thought he did, but then he has an accident and he wakes up surrounded by the world of the films. Now he has to figure out if he's hallucinating, if somehow the movies are real and he's been transplanted to another world or if he is actually Devon, a supervillain having a psychotic break. Whatever the answer: it's frighteningly crazy.

                                                    4.5 STARS

Some of the best books I have read have actually come from the free section on amazon, and this happens to be one of them. It's more of a science fiction story than a romance, I believe it's gonna be a series (yeah here I go again) so it's got a maybe love story going on except I'm not sure which guys I want to get together. Even the Devon & Tristan which is a little weird  considering they seem to be the same person but still Damn it was HOT! Add in Eric who plays Gage, I found this story fascinating in that I could really see a movie in the plot. It's a short story that I don't want to give to much away, but I will say I will be looking for the next one in this series. I recommend

This one is a collaboration of a bunch of different authors, so I will be simple and say I loved this story and I want more. So all these wonderful authors that have helped to write this I thought this story was awesome, loved the intrigue, the identical twins and the sex was HOT! to me that's a perfect story only thing that I could find was I wanted more...lot's more this was a fascinating story that I would have added to my auto buy list Yes it was that good. I mean good cop, maybe bad cop, mobsters, it was totally exciting. Seriously guys I'd like to read more or another story like this it was fun and enjoyable. I recommend

The Delaneys at Home (The Delaneys, #5)
Liam is ready for a whole new life with the dangerous Delaney twins, and dives into it with great enthusiasm. But when the men reveal their little secret to Liam, that they know he's not been entirely honest with them about his previous art career, the scene is set for a rather different experience of punishment. Can Liam rise to the occasion this time around?

More than that, Liam's boss at the gallery appears to be in cahoots with the Delaneys about the talents Liam's convinced he simply doesn't have. Will he find the twins' commitment to his profession rather more than even he can handle?

                                                           4.75 STARS

I love this series, are you guys tired of me saying that yet? LOL it's true I can't help (remember OCD) I like reading about continuing stories, I always feel that I don't have to get to know the characters again, I already do so I can just jump right into the story right?

Anyway I like this one alot maybe it's the bad boys thing with just a decent amount of danger to make it exciting and it's super sexy. Liam has been dating the Delaney twins for a little while now and is  moving in with them in this book. Like I said I like this one it felt like it was a little longer book than the last one which was awesome (It may have been I never look at the page numbers).
Johnny is the sweet understanding twin and Mark is the tough as nails dominant one, both are written incredibly sexy.I can't wait to see what happens in the next one, because this one made me ask some interesting questions about Liam, I wanna go to that family dinner with them it sounds fun. I'm kinda at a stand still on this book, I'm not sure I liked, but I didn't hate it either. I'm thinking maybe cause it was such a different type of shifter story that I just didn't get into it. It actually creeped me out a little probably thanks to that Evil Dead movie, I'm pretty sure that was it. Ms. Flynn really started the series out well with great background on the shifters, like where they came from and what their purpose for their lives are very well written and detailed, that I liked. I just didn't feel the chemistry between Branch & Seed but then again like I said I just couldn't get over the creepy factor. I will still recommend because I really think it may have been just me, so others may really enjoy this book.

This is an adorable story that if your in the mood for HEA's this is your book. I liked this story it's about two best friends who have done everything together since they were in kindergarten and are now in college so at twenty one they come to find out that they have feelings for each other that are not like best friend feelings.

It took me awhile to really get into this story, I kept losing who was was telling the story some from Jake's pov and some from Nate's but I seemed to get them confused a lot probably why their bf's right I mean they're personalities are similar. I will say I was surprised that at 21 their still virgins, and college guys at that huh? and gay sex seemed to be a little easy for two supposedly straight guys to just go for it, but as a sweet romantic love story it fit for this story. I also thought that their parents took it a little two well but like I said it's not a story of angst or drama it's a really adorable love story. I recommend

Wacky Wednesday by J.A. Rock

Wacky Wednesday
Things have been rocky lately for brat Jayk and his dominant partner Amon. Jayk, a college dropout, recently returned to school, while Amon, the HR director at a major financial firm, faces pressure at work. Their D/s partnership suffers as Jayk deals with his stress by acting out, and Amon deals with his by cracking down.

When Jayk and Amon wake one morning to find they’ve switched bodies, each is determined to prove he can handle his partner’s life for a day. But as the chaos builds, their swap proves more confusing, enlightening--and sexier--than they’d anticipated.

                                                5 STARS

I laughed my ass off with this book, it is hilarious but  has some serious issues in it too. They are just dealt with in a way that will have you ROFL, first off  I loved the way Jayk reacts when he wakes up as Amon I mean I would have probably freaked out but Jayk is young so he takes it in stride. Especially when he finds he really likes playing with his lover's body, so Jayk decides to go do Amon job since he's in Amon's body cause he thinks Amon has it easy. Boy is he surprised and yes he does some really funny things, he learns so serious lessons and the chemistry & love between these two just rolls off the pages. Plus Jayk finds out he isn't as smart at Amon's job as he thought and doesn't know if he can fix his mistakes before he loses his lover's job.

Amon now has to learn how to be Jayk too, it's funny because like Jayk he thinks it's gonna be a piece of cake. Since they're sure they will switch bodies back by midnight since they've seen it in the movies LOL I loved that it just made this story that much more relaxed and fun for me. Amon gets to realize that it's not as easy being twenty-four again and that he has really let the love of his life down, so he does whatever it takes to let Jayk know how much he loves him. Meanwhile he gets Jayk fired from his job and makes his(Jayk's) friends think he's gone bonkers.

This is one of those books that I will read again & again, I personally love to laugh (yes I'm also very sarcastic too.) but Wacky Wednesday had me in tears I was laughing so hard. It's a sweet love story on how we all can let work and everyday things get in the way of love sometimes. I highly recommend

I am a huge fan of the Jarheads series, it's one of my top 10 favorite series'. Sean Michael has captured me with these 3 adorable guys, I could read about Rock, Rig, & Dick all day long and not be disappointed. I mean they are written in a way I could see them as a real life threesome, I like that they have real issues and real reactions to said issues. I absolutely love these guys, and if you want to laugh, cry a little, and be incredibly entertain you gotta read this short story of two hot ex-marines and one hot cowboy doctor. I recommend

I laughed my ass off at this book, of course it's a classic Kim Dare book with lots of BDSM and a cute love story as well, but the giant penis sculpture was hilarious. I looked over at my hubby and asked if I could get one, he just rolled his eyes at me. I thought this relationship between Jay & Richard worked very well for this story, Jay seems to really struggle with feeling secure in his partnership with Richard, so he nags to make him feel as though he's wanted, And Richard is gonna show him that he is. This was a fun exciting book that I truly enjoyed, with the interesting twist of the human  Seth as the more dominant most of the time of course Brandon the bear shifter is dominant sometimes too. And I found it absolutely adorable that Brandon as a big guy loves to cook, especially homemade pies, yes my brain went there LOL.

Seth is a lieutenant that has more responsibility than he can handle, then he fills in on a murder investigation where he runs into young, hot and big Brandon. And the chemistry is intense between these two, and geez the sex scenes extremely hot! It's a good action storyline with a intense love story on the side. I recommend

Tagged and Bagged (EMS Heat #14) by Stephani Hecht

Tagged and Bagged (EMS Heat, #14)
Houston is used to being the official wallflower of Flint's EMS community. Not only has he grown up that way, because he was always so soft-spoken, but he was usually too busy cleaning up his twin's messes to have time to worry about anything else. Then when his twin falls in love, Houston finds himself alone and floundering as he tries to adjust to all the changes.

Born and raised in Flint, Rich knows how hard life can be. When he joined the police force, he became even more jaded. So, the last thing expects is to find himself attracted to one of the biggest brats in the city. Sure, most people think Houston is meek and quiet, but they've never seen the real side of the medic like Rich has.

Then Houston makes the mistake of pissing off the most dangerous criminal in Flint and Rich finds himself rushing to the rescue. Will Rich be in time to save Houston or will they both end up tagged and bagged?

                                                                  4.5 STARS

The EMS Heat series is another favorite of mine from Ms. Hecht, and this book did not disappoint me. Houston's story is one I have been looking forward to since I read his twin's story in the previous book, I'm a big fan of continuing stories can't you tell? LOL

Anyway, Houston just seemed like one of those characters that I wanted to wrap in my arms and take care of him. Though he's not weak by any means he's not a big guy, so when the story opens and he's trapped handcuffed and cornered by a room full of drunk women at a bride to be party, you just gotta crack up. I mean when it's explained how he got there it's adorable but really shows how kinda naive and trusting Houston really is.

Then we meet Rich whose cop partner is boyfriends with Houston's twin brother again previous story. But Rich is fighting his attraction to Houston every step of the way, when he has to rescue Houston from the party he can't seem to fight it any longer. Of course the next morning he does something so stupid even I wanted to smack him, but he does grovel well. I recommend

The Swan Who Flew After a Wolf (Mate or Meal #11) by Scarlet Hyacinth

The Swan Who Flew After a Wolf (Mate or Meal, #11)
Mate or mistake? Twenty years back, werewolf Anson lost his first love to another man. Now, he realizes his true mate is actually his ex’s son, swan-shifter Reed.                                                                                4.5 STARS

Yes another one that I really liked LOL, I have to say the fun twist of having Anson who we met in Liam & Shiloh's story ending up mating Reed their adopted Swan son was an awesome hilarious turn on this enjoyable series. I have loved every book in this series so far mainly because we really get to know the characters and they are frequently in previous books, besides the whole mate or meal scenario which put an interesting take on opposites attract right?

Anson not only has to worry about the age difference, but the gossip and rumors that he's only mated Reed because he still wanted Reed's dad Liam, of course we get the real relationship but then add in a drunk one stand that ending up with a son. Whom I really end up liking can't wait for his & Jace's  story too. They end up having to deal with the one night stands homicidal craziness, rumors galore, and starting a relationship together.

Reed on the other hand, I just loved his character, he's stronger than he's given credit for he may look small and fragile but he loves strongly and fiercely. He becomes my favorite character in this book, mainly because he refuses to give up.

I recommend I find this whole series interesting to the point that I keep wanting to read more. Each book reminds me of characters in previous books that I enjoyed.

Seth's Chance (Brac Pack #27) by Lynn Hagen

Seth's Chance (Brac Pack #27)
Seth McGavin moves to Brac Village to care for his nephew Oscar after a house fire claims Oscar’s parents. He doesn’t expect to find Chance Lakeland, and he certainly doesn’t expect to fall for the tall, handsome man.

Chance Lakeland seems to be blowing it with his mate, Seth. He can’t seem to say the right thing. He can’t even seem to keep his mate safe when it seems that, at every turn, Seth is being threatened, or even worse, hurt.

When Seth is attacked on several different occasions, Chance has had enough. He tries to convince his mate to move in with him, but Seth is adamant about keeping his independence, even at the cost of his safety.

Seth doesn’t go looking for trouble, but it finds him at every turn. Can Chance convince Seth to take a leap of faith and trust him, or will Seth run into the wrong man and get himself killed?

When one of Seth’s attacks proves more dangerous than anyone thought possible, things begin to change in the paranormal world

                                                                   4.5 STARS

Yes I know I loved this one too. but here's the thing, I read to be entertained, to be taken some place where dreams do come true, and love really does concur all. I don't want to read about realism if I did I would read non fiction instead of fiction, life can be crappy all on it's own I want to read to relax, laugh, and maybe sometimes (yes only sometimes) cry a little. Ok I'll get over myself and start my opinion of this book. LOL

Seth just has some pretty shitty luck, thats about the only way I can describe his life, of course this sweet guy is taking care of his orphaned nephew whose disabled after a fire that killed his parents. So Seth is trying to get his life on track by moving to Brac Village and working at the diner where he has met Chance whose a bear shifter and twin to Chauncey who we met in a previous book.

Chance is my favorite of the bear shifters, he's funny, hyper and loves his family, especially his twin unconditionally. I really liked that not only did we get a completely different type of love story complete with jealousy but not the way you think it'll come through, but we got this intense family drama that made me love Chance so much, it shows how close twins can be. It also has a completely separate action story that just adds to the excitement of this story.

The Brac Pack series is one of my top favorite series (Yes I have alot of favorite series but WTH that's me) Ms. Hagen has kept me entertained with each book now that's saying something since I'm on book #27 and I can't wait for the next one. I recommend

Gregory's Rebellion (Shifters' Haven #6) by Lavinia Lewis

                                                                       4.5 STARS

Now this book I didn't buy, I actually entered a contest (because I love this series) and OMG I won. Now for me this alone is amazing I never win shit, so I was very excited to win a book I wanted to buy anyway. And I will say I loved it, the Havens Shifters series is one of my gotta buy as soon as possible without reading the blurb books.

Gregory we met in previous books, but the last one we got to know him a little more, so I felt we got to know Hayden more in this one since he's a new character. The continuing drama/action is prevalent in this book, so without giving anything away (which is not easy mind you) if you haven't read the previous books you may be lost since it is a big part of this relationship. I have to say I liked Hayden a little bit better than Gregory but thats mainly because Gregory tried to keep him safe and didn't realize he was pushing Hayden away instead, I really wanted to smack him upside the head a few times. Hayden's character was adorable and I wanted to wrap him up, protect him and take him home with me.

I didn't feel the intense chemistry with Gregory & Hayden that I got with Nate & Jared but I still really enjoyed this book and can't wait till the next one. I recommend

We Danced by Jeff Erno

We Danced
For six years, Rex Payton has focused on two things: keeping his late father’s small-town Kentucky bar afloat and raising his nephew, Tyler. After the tragic loss of his parents and sister, Rex has no interest in romance. He’s respected in his community and regarded as one of Carlisle’s most eligible bachelors, but he’s accepted that his life isn’t conducive to a romantic relationship, especially as a closeted gay man.

Enter Josh Billings, a veterinary student who’s serving an internship in town. Josh’s deepest passion is helping animals. Romance is the furthest thing from his mind… until the night he meets taciturn, handsome Rex Payton. Chance and an after-hours dance conspire to forge an intimate connection neither man looked for—one neither man can ignore after the dance leads to a kiss.

Suddenly romance isn’t so insignificant, but it’s also not without complications. For this relationship to work, Josh has to decide if he can cope with dating a single dad, Rex has to open his heart, and Ty has to learn to share his dad’s affection.

                                                                   4.75 STARS

I really, really loved this story, I know it dealt with some issues that make me squeamish, Mr. Erno did a good job of not letting it over ride the love story. Now that's not to say that the issues in this book are not important and very serious because yes their are some stupid homophobic people out there, and yes I think they need their heads examined or a swift kick in the pants either one will work. But I was glad that it didn't take away from Josh & Rex finding love, and how we see them finding a life together as a family.

This has to be one of the most romantic stories I have read in a long time, I don't want to give everything away so I'll just say the beginning was a beautiful intense but sweet way to start a great Love story. By the first 3 pages I knew I would love this book, the chemistry not only between Josh & Rex but also with Tyler as a parent to child was adorable and I couldn't stop reading I loved it. I did shed some tears especially for Tyler and what he goes through but I loved the ending and I loved the romance in this book. I highly recommend.

Undercover Lovers (Urban Affairs #1) by Gale Stanley

Undercover Lovers (Urban Affairs #1)
Two undercover agents weave a web of deceit when they bed their target.

Undercover Were-agent Slade Wolfe works for the Department of Shifter Affairs. He's on special assignment to take down Jaxon Castle, a resistance leader. Slade's contact in New York is a human cop, Mike Donovan, who's hiding his real relationship with their target—he and Jaxon are lovers. When Slade beds Jaxon so he can plant his surveillance equipment, a jealous Mike freaks out.

Both agents suspect the charges have been trumped up by the Feds and they're reluctant to take Jaxon down, but the director of DSA is getting antsy and he orders Mike to kill his partner and frame Jaxon for the murder. Getting rid of his competition is tempting, but Mike can't kill an innocent man, even if it means he'll end up in DSA's crosshairs with his rival and his boyfriend.

                                                           4.75 STARS

This is the first book of a new series called Urban Affairs and at first I wasn't sure I would like it but I kept reading and I'm so glad I did. It was an exciting intense love story for three, with enough drama and angst to have me biting my nails and enough sex to make me want a cold shower.

All three main characters had some very intense chemistry with each other, the action/drama was an interesting but very different storyline than I've read before. Not only was the drama exciting but getting to know each character and their hopes & fears of each. And that's paramount in a series for me I want to know the characters and what they're thinking.

Jaxon seemed the Alpha yet he came across as seriously vulnerable too, I mean he loves Mike so much even though Mike's human. Slade seems the most vulnerable but what we learn about his past makes us understand why he's that way. And Mike we don't get as much back ground but we see how much his job is tearing at his love for Jaxon. These three work well as a Menage' but it isn't easy by no means. I recommend I thought this was an exciting thrilling beginning to this series in which I have already bought the second one Claiming Korey.

                                                         2.5 STARS

Sorry I didn't really like this book, I felt lost through most of it, with the flash backs and seeing the dead lover. I really tried to get involved in this one but i just couldn't, I didn't feel any chemistry between the two MC's and the best friend girls (on both sides) made it feel like Logan would have rather been with his bf if she hadn't died WTF? Besides the horrible car crash for Jake which he keeps seeing his dead lover that wants him to move on another WTF? moment. It just didn't ring true for me sorry I don't recommend.

Feathers and Filth (Midnight Matings #16) by Joyee Flynn

Feathers and Filth (Midnight Matings, #16)

Fabian Norris snuck away from his overbearing aunt to have a little fun and meet some new people. When he sees an attractive smaller man, he worries someone might take advantage of him in all the chaos, and his protective instincts take over.

Can these two men overcome something so dire that UPAC steps in to dissolve their mating? Or will they fight like they’ve never had to for the one they want?

                                                                        4 STARS

This is one of the Midnight Matings books, I love this series not only is each book written by one of three of my favorite writers these books are entertaining and enjoyable. Each one is about different shifters and how they (mostly) accidentally end up mated to each other, they have to learn how to get along, and how to coexist. It's a very detailed and exciting series.

Feathers & Filth was very different, I liked this story it wasn't my favorite in the series but it was good. It did have more drama than usual but I couldn't help picturing the Hulk instead of Shrek as the Ogre LOL. Fabian & Magnus both took me a little bit to really like as they just didn't feel like they fit for me, I kinda feel like it was a little forced. Don't get me wrong it's a good story just not one I loved. I still recommend.

Sweet Oblivion by Stormy Glenn

Sweet Oblivion
I just wanted a night out on the town, a little fun. When Mr. Tall, Dark, and Mysterious walked into the bar, I knew my chances had just increased. Damn, he was fine too. And I planned to have him before the night was through. I just had to get his attention first and then he would be mine. With that in mind, I started across the bar…

Okay, I don’t do morning-afters so why am I in bed with the same man I had sex with the previous night? And why were we in his bed? Why not my bed? I never went home with my conquests. He was really hot, and great in the sack, but I didn't do relationships. They were messy and emotional and…

Wait.

Are those fangs in his mouth?

                                                 4.75 STARS

The blurb for this book had me excited to read it and I was not disappointed. I thought it was a great read, it was funny, romantic and entertaining journey. Of course the HOT sex scenes were so awesome I needed a smoke and I don't smoke LOL, I also got plenty of info on the MC's and secondary characters too.

Micah at first I wasn't sure I liked he seemed a little full of himself, but soon we learn why he's like that and that he actually should be full of himself he's worked for it. Starvos on the other hand starts off as a tough dominant person but we find his romantic and a little insecure self  soon enough. I liked these two just for the differences from what we think they will be like. I recommend

The Wizard & The Werewolf (Mixed Mates Series #1) by Amber Kell

The Wizard & The Werewolf ( Mixed Mates Series, #1)
When the newest and shyest member of Peter's pack asks him to harbor his brother, Peter's not expecting the bad boy wizard who appears at his door. He's also not expecting Justin to be the mate he's searched for his entire life.

After all wizards and werewolves don't get along. Who would look for him in the middle of a pack? Now if he could resist a certain sexy wolf he might escape with his heart intact.

                                                5 STARS

It's no secret I love Amber Kell books but I gotta say this one is now my top favorite, I laughed, cried a little but all in all I feel head over heels with all the characters even the secondary ones. This book just flat out worked for me it gave me all I needed to enjoy, I got to know the characters, got enough drama to keep me reading without being too angsty (yeah I made up a word so what?) some absolute HOT! sex and a book that entertained me to the point I want more.

Justin is such an awesome character I mean he's tough but with a big heart, sexy but caring. I loved his character he wasn't needy or weaker than Peter, but he was willing to compromise for love. And Alpha Peter was as most alphas kinda dominant but when he meets Justin he's so surprised that it's funny I mean who greets someone Hello, Kiss me.

I so enjoyed this story, hope I get more soon I recommend.

Perfect Day by Josh Lanyon

Perfect Day
Wyatt loves Graham. Graham is still in love with Jase. But things could be worse. They could be camping.

                                                       5 STARS

I can honestly say I haven't read a Josh Lanyon book that I didn't absolutely love, this author makes me take a look at life in a completely different way. I was either laughing or bawling my eyes out.Plus you get so much out of this short story about each character, I mean in this book there were times I wanted Graham to see what he had right in front of him, but yet I can understand his grief for what he lost too. Same with Wyatt I could see where he wanted to give up, but yet the heart don't lie you know. And just a side note that was some great research on anaphalatic shock, I have a child that we carry an epipen with so I was very impressed with the details. Plus it's a great love story I recommend.

                                                          4.5 STARS

I have to say this was classic a Amy Lane  story which was so adorable, and yet I laughed my ass off with this one. It is awesome, & funny but actually has a little advice in it that makes it also a cute love story too. It's a short story so we don't get to know but a little about each character but I loved it just the same. I am so glad I bought this one I recommend

I absolutely loved this story, even though it's a short story I really got a lot out of it. I got the chemistry & back story of Jeritt & Frost, I even cried like a baby but I got one hell of  an amazing story. Yes I was surprised to an extent because it is such a short story, but of course this is written by the author that gave me my favorite series of all time A Matter of Time. I should not have been surprised! It even had hot sex scenes in it, and I got the whole Love is worth waiting for or Love withstands time either works for this story. If you want a extremely emotional story full of  Love & never giving up this is the story for you.I recommend.

                                 4.75 STARS

I adore this series, to the point I'm hooked and can't wait to read the next one. This one had me on pin & needles but also gave me more story on a few different characters, I also got some storyline for not only past characters but future ones too. This author has taken this reader on an amazing journey, where I have not only gotten my hot military type alpha guys, but also got sexy, tough as nails werewolves and even threw in some really sweet romantic moments. This is what I want to read where it's possible to fall in love at first sight or go to a fantasy place where love conquers all. I got some surprises that I did not see coming, which made this book even better for me.

Caden became a favorite character of mine in the last book, the way he helped Grayson find his way back to forgiving his mate was so sweet. Besides the fact that Caden is super rich accidents do happen, but fate steps in when Kellan comes to his rescue. I loved the romance it was fun and surprising but such a wonderful story, and I can't wait to read more. I highly Recommend

This is the first book in a new spin-off series, I was wondering when we would get more from Chris & Cassie's pack. I was not disappointed it was action packed and exciting, I was on the edge of my seat. And I'm really liking the new characters especially Nico & Braxton I can't wait for their stories, this one was more action packed it even left me wanting more. I think I'm gonna enjoy this new series immensely. I recommend

                                             4.5 STARS

I totally loved this book so much so when I finished I had to immediately go by the second book in this series. I was laughing my ass off with this book, the sarcasm (which of course you guys know I love) is wonderful and abundant, the sex is scorching HOT! so was the chemistry between Jason & Drew, it is intense. It was exciting the way they both fought their attraction but all it took was a lust demon (BTW I want one of those LOL) to set off the sparks. I enjoyed that Jason stood up for how he felt about Drew even when everybody and I mean everybody tries to warn him away. I recommend this book left me smiling by the end Loved it!

I really liked this story, of course who wouldn't like a hot fireman & a cowboy?
Anyway this story is serious nut fun and it's adorable in the way Levi & Cooper meet. I felt I got to know the characters and why especially Cooper has the fears that they do. Of Course the sex scenes are extremely HOT (of which I will not complain LOL) and I mean HOT!!! I also got chemistry which is instant between these two. It's a fast paced story but a good one that I enjoyed. The focus is mainly on these two but I loved the add in of Levi's parents that was adorable. I recommend

Necessity's Door by Fiona Glass

Necessity's Door
Being an openly-gay detective in Birmingham comes with its share of problems. For one, the pay is awful. For another, Jake always gets stuck with the crappy undercover jobs. Like posing as a prostitute to catch the new crime boss in town—a man notorious for rough sex with pretty young rentboys.

Jake’s latest op is fraught with difficulties, all of them men. Like his partner, Mac, who he’s secretly fancied for months. And his new client, Graham, who he keeps sleeping with for reasons far beyond maintaining his cover. And of course there’s the target, Frank Warren, who’s much harder to lure than anyone had anticipated.

The longer the job drags on, the tougher it gets for Jake to juggle his own needs with those of the job. They may be closing in on Warren, but Jake’s heart—and his sense of right and wrong—are slipping through his fingers. Mac is there to back him up, but is he really the man Jake needs? Tough to know among all those lies Jake's been telling himself and everyone else

                                                                      2.5 STARS

I spent most of this book thinking WTF? I felt like Jake needed a smack to his head multiple times and it ending feeling unfinished for me. The action part of this story is just not there, the case that has Jake going undercover, is like an after thought. And having to sleep with his mark left me feeling grossed out, I think Jake needed to get his priorities straight. He's a cop yet he breaks some pretty serious laws not to solve the case mind you but for his own personal reasons. I don't recommend.

Places In Time (Time Is Eternity) by Cardeno C

Places In Time
Actor Ethan Baker was voted the “Sexiest Man Alive” two times, but that doesn’t stop his girlfriend from breaking up with him. As he has for years, Ethan turns to Jude Harrison, his best friend and the one “forever” person in his life. What should have been a short trip to reach Jude turns into an unexpectedly long journey when a mysterious woman forces Ethan to visit places in time he’d long forgotten. Suddenly Ethan sees Jude’s actions over the years from a different perspective, but it’s his own reaction that’s the biggest surprise.

I liked this one in the Time is Eternity books, it had a "It's a Wonderful Life"  feel to it but it was well thought out and I felt I got a good sense of the characters Jude more that Ethan, I kinda didn't like Ethan he seemed full of himself and clueless at the same time. Jude on the other hand was an sweet character who would do anything for the one he loves. It's a sweet, wake up call for Ethan that I really enjoyed reading. I recommend.
