OMG....I AM NOW HOOKED ON AUDIBLE BOOKS

Yes as the title says I am now really getting into audible books, it started simple enough with talking to people on Tumblr (yeah still hooked on that one too) and even though I have already read all the Cut & Run series books I kept hearing others comment on the audios so I decided to try them. Honestly the first two were just ok the guys voice just didn't work for me but you know me and my OCD I had to get the rest of them LOL the 3rd holy crap on a cracker....this guy I think his name is Sean Crisden....I mean when he does Zane's voice it made me shiver....btw my hubby would like to thank you Mr. Crisden....unfortunately there are only 5 of the books out on audio so I have decided to get a few more of my favorite books on audio to try so I picked up of course A Matter of Time set and a few Josh Lanyon to try too. I'm still reading also and I decided to clean out my Kindle I mean it had 2500 plus books on it I really needed to make some space which is kinda hard for a person like me with OCD we tend to not want to let things go but some of the books I bought were nice but not favorites I'm letting go I need more room for more books LOL If you've got a favorite Audio books drop me a line, Keep Reading and I talk to ya later....I gotta let you know how my crazy family dealt with our reunion it was funny as hell and on the same day my oldest turned 16 so highjinks ensued. Alright now I'm off to clean the house some before Sterek oh I mean Teen Wolf comes on tonight LOL bye bye!

Worlds Collide by R.J. Scott, Brad's Bachelor Party by River Jaymes & Love Me Back to Life by M.L. Rhodes

Worlds Collide (Sanctuary #7)
It is the day after New Years and Dale is en route back to Albany in a private jet with Emily Bullen. She is coming back home after turning states evidence on her husband Senator Thomas Bullen.

What no one factored in, not Sanctuary or the FBI, was the lengths Griffin Ryland would go to in the effort to protect himself.

Joseph finds out Dale is in trouble and it is only with the help of his team of SEALs that he can make sure Dale is safe and that Griffin Ryland can't cause any more trouble.

A snowy New Years, a deserted airport and a hostage situation with people already dead and suddenly the worlds of Sanctuary and the SEALs collide, with terrifying consequences.

Then, two weeks alone at a resort, falling deeper in love leave the two men with decisions to make and suddenly there is the chance to make forever a possibility.

                                                                        *5 STARS*

Book seven of the Sanctuary series is without a doubt my favorite so far, Joe & Dale were my favorites way back in book #2 and I admit I was not happy about the way that book ended I really wanted a HEA for these two. So imagine my surprise when we get their story continued and it was wonderful mainly because we got to spend a great deal of time on their emotions, feelings and just getting to know them and yes the sex is super HOT!! too...... I loved that I could still feel their chemistry even after 5 different couple books it was still intense and viable, we also get more info on the action storyline but it didn't takeover the story just brought us to the deep emotions that make up this couple. The each have their fears and concerns to deal with but I really enjoyed how they each work through them before they even we'll say bring it to the table with each other. That being said I thoroughly LOVED Joe & Dale's story I will be rereading this one again and again. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Brad's Bachelor Party

In college, geeky med student Cole Winston fell for his best friend, Brad Kelly. The bold, brash charmer was everything Cole wasn't: confident, popular, and straight. Unfortunately Cole's secret blew up in his face, and he walked away.

Years later, when Brad needs help, he calls Cole. Now a respected trauma surgeon, Cole has learned not to risk his heart and is ready to be Brad's friend again. Things go well until Brad asks Cole to be his best man.

With both his parents dead, Brad never would have survived college or his brother's rounds of drug rehab without Cole. The five-year gap in their friendship was painful.

Now Brad's got his best friend back, a kick-ass job, and is engaged to the CEO's daughter. Life is great…until a hot encounter at his bachelor party leaves both men reeling. The sexual tension between the two is off the charts. Brad has commitments he needs to keep, but how can he go through with the wedding when he can't stop thinking about Cole?

And how can Cole stand beside his friend and watch him get married, especially now that he realizes he still loves Brad?

                                                   *5 STARS*

This was another surprising 5 star read for me, I only have my OCD to blame for that. If I see a book on Amazon best selling list and its been there for a week or two in the top 20 I become very curious and then I read the reviews Yeah I know most of the time the reviews are all bullshit or just petty assholes but this books reviews intrigued me so I bought it. Damn I am so glad I did, I laughed through most of this story it's funny but very not silly the emotions are deep and intense and yes the sex is uber HOT!!! My heart broke for Cole so many times but also for Brad whose devotion to taking care of Danny made him think he couldn't have to one thing he needed most. I also wanted to smack the shit outta both of them multiple times in this book but LOVED the outcome and how both Brad & Cole had to deal with their own issues before dealing with each other. I would really like to read more by this author I enjoyed this story immensely it's an emotional read but not too intense it's also funny and sweet and super HOT so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Love Me Back To Life
The first time Noah Blackburn met Phoenix Quinlan, he’d known they were going to be best friends. It was fate, after all, since they were the same age and shared the same birthday. It hadn’t mattered that Noah lived in a sunny world where he spent his days wandering the Colorado mountains with his doting, artist father, while Phoenix hailed from the outskirts of town, where he lived with a dad who drank more than he worked and who ruled their house with a brutal temper. When the two boys were together, life was perfect, and neither of them could imagine being parted. But the spring before their sixteenth birthday, tragedy struck, robbing Noah of the father he’d adored. Shortly afterward, Phoenix began to withdraw, holding Noah at arm’s length, missing school…and then one day he just disappeared. Devastated by those events, Noah’s further shaken when, without warning, his emotionally detached mother moves them across the country, cutting Noah’s final tie to everything he’d once loved.

Twelve years later, Noah returns to La Paz, Colorado. He’s tired, emotionally battered, and looking for a fresh start, or maybe a restart of the life that had so long ago been derailed. But with painful memories haunting every corner, he begins to doubt his decision. Without his father, and especially without Phoenix, whom he can now admit was so much more to him than just a friend, his childhood town feels barren, absent of the connections that had once made it home.

But then, when he least expects it, Noah discovers something that shakes his world. He finds that truths aren’t always what they seem, quaint small towns can hide the darkest of secrets, and some heartaches run so deep only the strongest, most steadfast of loves can heal them.

                                                             *3.5 STARS*

Okay before I get into this story I gotta say I am a huge fan of M.L. Rhodes 'nough said.
Now for this book I struggled with, mainly because it's kind of an intense deeply emotional story and at points made me bawl like a baby, it wasn't a easy story for me to read it has incest rape which I wish I had been warned about (tags people even in a flashback) but even with dealing with that intense emotional downfall and all the issues that ensued from that, both characters had a lot of issues that just needed to be dealt of course Phee were worse and really needed a therapist Noah had some as well. I had a hard time seeing these two as a couple at first they did grow on me but I struggled with their chemistry throughout the book. If you like a deep dark emotional read this is a book for you and Ms. Rhodes does an excellent job with her stories, for me it wasn't my favorite kind of story but it was well written and I will recommend it but be warned it deals with so intense issues but real ones never the less.

Alright peeps there's 3 more for ya hope you enjoy and Keep on reading, I always say books the eyes to the soul, never know where they will take you or how you will get there but  a book can take you on one amazing ride to get there. Later peeps

I"M BACK! and I got 3 more reviews for ya!

I know I disappeared for a while, had so life issues come up and smack me in the face so I got a little lost for a while. I 'm not a person who gets depressed I'm usually that friend that thinks everything will work out and the glass is always half full, so imagine my surprise when something happened and I realized I was the one who was being negative and sad, instead of thinking it'll all work out alright in the end. I couldn't even bring myself to want to read WTF? you say Yes I was depressed but thankfully I am seeing the light through the clouds now and their were 3 books that helped me break through I know it sounds silly to some but books have always been my salvation I'll say, they can make me laugh or cry or teach me something new so when I was at my worse point thats where I finally went to my books!
I also found tumblr and have not only spent an incredible amount of time on there I have found other people just like me, and yes sterek is back I mean teen wolf sorry, no not really sorry LOL speaking of tumblr it also made me want to go back and re-read my comfort reads so I went and finished A Matter of Time series by Mary Calmes again & Cut & Run series by Abigail Roux both really have helped bring me back from a really dark place so Thank You to those incredibly amazing and talented authors you may never know just what a difference your stories can have on a person but please note that they do! Ok  I gotta atleast brag about the 3 books that we'll say woke me up first is: STILL by Mary Calmes

Still
What happens when two men who have been together for seventeen years fall out of love? Sivan Cruz, a set director in San Francisco, and Walter Wainwright, a big shot Bay Area lawyer, find out the hard way. Walter loves Sivan with all his heart but rarely talks about it, and Sivan needs to hear the words. The language of the love they have shared for so long, that has enabled them to build a life together and raise two children, stops working. They become—still.

When Sivan asks for a divorce, Walter doesn’t know how to say no. They separate, but while Sivan sees the relationship as over, Walter sees only a temporary setback. He has never lost his passion for Sivan and decides he has to say something before he ends up loving his husband in silence for the rest of his life.

                                                                *5 STARS*

Now this story had me bawlin' from the first page, it's deeply emotional and being someone who has been in married for 20 yrs I got it. I completely understood where both Sivan & Walter were coming from sometimes life just gets in the way and sometimes we just let ourselves get in the way too. This is not an easy read its intense and sometimes heart wrenching but for me it was a great read. I wanted to smack Sivan about half of the story but I so totally got what he was feeling and most of us don't ever have anyone like Walter who never gives up. It's so easy nowdays to just give up and start over so most don't even try to fix what got broken so here's a great story of what could happen and I have to say I thought it was Awesome. I won't sugar coat it it is an intense emotional book you will cry, but there are also beautiful and sweet moments that will make you sigh. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND but please note you need a box of tissues.

A Tale Told In Darkness

Cal loves to snuggle up in bed with his partner, Lee, and listen to a tale told in the darkness. His favorite story is about the vampire, Lord Oliver Brook, a lone vampire in London, who uses humans for sex and food.

When Michael Benton moves in next door, Brook's world takes an unexpected turn. Young, blond and gorgeous, Michael doesn't discourage his attentions, but he makes it plain he doesn't want to become a vampire.

Against his own nature, Brook takes their relationship slowly. Then Michael disappears and Brook discovers he's not been the only one pursuing the young human. Will he find Michael before he's lost forever?

                                                              *5 STARS*
Now this story is kinda a short one and I believe its also gonna have a sequel (I hope it does anyway)
I bawled at this one too, but not from the beginning it's a really sweet sometimes funny some times intense love story that I truly didn't see the ending till I got there and I must say I wanted to read more of Cal & Michael their story starts as a story but becomes theirs very easily. It was another tissue read for me but I thought it was fun and sexy also. I seriously hope to read more it's such a fascinating story with interesting characters which is what I like in my favorite stories I like wanting more but please don't wait to long to give me more pretty please. ANOTHER HIGHLY RECOMMEND

All In
Even though he's really not over his ex-boyfriend Jamie, twenty three year old former football player Charlie finds himself drawn to Dante Dombruso, the gorgeous, highly dangerous leader of a mafia crime family. Dante is the perfect rebound fling -- six feet, four inches of raw sex and hard Italian muscle, wrapped in an expensive suit.

The confident, sexy crime boss is way out of Charlie’s comfort zone. But Charlie already lost everything once by giving in to his fear, and he's not willing to make the same mistake again.

If he’s going to do this, Charlie knows he can’t hold back. He can't date this man a little, he can't trust him a little, he can't go to bed with him a little. If he's going to get involved with Dante Dombruso, Charlie has to be All In.

                                                             *5 STARS*

This was another really great story not really a tearjerker but a really intense and sweet love story, this is a first book for me by this author, I have since bought 2 more from her yeah it was that good. I like the chemistry between Dante & Charlie and how they interacted with each other between the hot sex, at times deeply emotional and intense but also sweet and funny. This is definitely one I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Ok I'm gonna stop for now but these three books were very cleansing for me, maybe it's true sometimes you just need to cry it out or sometimes you just need a book that says it will get better doesn't matter who you are or what your age is it can always get better. Later Peeps I promise not to be gone so long again

I have got to be outta my Fricking Mind!!!!

Okay, you ask What could Gigi possibly have done again? Well simply I hosted the Easter Family dinner at my house. Why you ask? after the lovely psycho Thanksgiving one I had here. I'm still trying to come up with the answer to that one, who knows maybe I'm a gluten for punishment, or I just have a really hard time saying NO!! I'm getting better at it but still if I'm not prepared for the asking I cave every time. One of the reasons hubs & I moved was because both of our families are very controlling, extremely nosy, and always have to give their opinions since we can do nothing right in either sides eyes. So with 17 people at my house I decided to skip traditional dinner and since it was warm grill out hamburgers & hotdogs needless to say that started the craziness that became our first sin of the day, I also invited my best friend along for the thrill ride she's just like me so the sarcasm was flowing right along, throw in some mischief and we were having a blast (okay add in a little rum & coke along with that mischief) it was needed trust me.
Anyway we had ex's and ex in laws all in the same house, my cheating niece brought her newest dud who was too lazy to even make his own plate (he also had the nerve to ask me to make him a plate WTH?) Yeah I'm not good at controlling my sarcasm and told him if he wanted a mommy he needed to go home to her, needless to say we don't get along, I do however get along with my ex nephew in law who is such a nice person (my niece is an idiot he was a great guy for her) I watched my niece get stupid jealous over my bestie talking to her ex (never mind the fact that it was about my bestie's husband LOL) my alcoholic brother search my cabinets for something to drink, my sister try to defend my nieces cheating and mine & hubs mom argue over how we kids have no morals and we're all going to hell in a hand basket. So after the Easter egg hunt I rushed everybody off as soon as possible, looked over at my hubs and said What the Hell were we thinking? He proceeded to laugh his ass off and ran to the store for a chaser for my rum. At one point I stood back and looked at this crazy bunch and thought maybe just maybe I was switched at birth I can only hope right?
And dammit to hell if I didn't get roped into throwing my mom her 80th birthday surprise party, I really do need to learn to say no ; )

So how was your Easter?

Touch & Geaux (Cut & Run #7) by Abigail Roux

Touch & Geaux (Cut & Run #7)
After having their faces plastered across the news during a high-profile case, FBI Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett have become more useful to the Bureau posing for photo ops than working undercover. Just as Zane is beginning to consider retirement a viable option, Ty receives a distress call from a friend, leading them to a city rife with echoes from the past.

New Orleans wears its history on its streets, and it’s the one place Ty’s face could get him killed. Surrounded by trouble as soon as they land, Ty and Zane are swiftly confronted with a past from which Ty can’t hide—one with a surprising connection to Zane’s.

As threats close in from all directions, both men must come to terms with the lives they’ve led and the lies they’ve told. They soon discover that not all their secrets are out yet, and nothing lasts forever.

                                                                   *5++ STARS*

I gotta a bone to pick with you Ms Roux, I am just too damn old to be up all night reading because I just can't put such an incredible story like this one down, you gotta take pity on us older folks we just can't handle that much excitement and then expect us to wait for the next amazing Ty & Zane book till next year. AUGH!! I'll just be that much older and can't handle a sleepless night of course if I would have been smart about it I would have waited till today to start it but there is no way I could have waited on an Abi Roux book that long just no way. Okay seeing as the Cut & Run series is my second favorite series ever each book has 5 Stars from me (they're exciting on the edge of your seat action but with such an intense romance story) and Ty & Zane have both made me love their characters and drawn me into adoring the secondary ones too especially Nick and now add Kelly and even a little bit of Liam in there mostly I'm just intrigued by him though. Anyway in this excellent installment we learn even more about Ty and his secrets (spoilers ppl if ya don't want stop here)  and can I just say Ms. Roux I cried my fricking eyes out you ripped my heart out but gave it back to me a little at a time so thank you for that. We learn a small bit about Zane and I absolutely loved the tie in with NO & Ty, what an beautiful way to add that I was very impressed. I also thought that the little pieces of previous books added in were awesome, made me want to go reread them again which I will most certainly do this week can't help myself this series is just that good. I also have to say with each book that I have read I fall more & more in love with these two characters not only are they sexy hot together (because Duh they are) they have such intensely real emotions Ms. Roux makes you feel those emotions along with her characters you can see where each one is coming from and it becomes as intense for the reader as it does for the characters. I find it funny cuz I swear these two attract trouble but thats what makes the stories exciting and makes us not able to put it down we have to see what happens next. I won't give to much away but Dammit to Hell that ending was fucking Awesome but please please don't make me wait til next year I need more my OCD can't take it LOL. If you haven't read any of this series you need to I was hooked with the first book and when I need to feel good I pull out this series it's a comfort read of mine it's not an instant love but drawn out slowly in each book which I love with this series, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND (can you tell I love this series? o_0

PS. Ms. Roux I'd really like to read a story of Nick I hated him when we first met him but now adore him, please pretty please....puppy dog eyes....we really need to read more Nick you have made him such an interesting character how can we not?

Oops I spoke too soon

Yep I should have waited to voice my Hollyoakes praise because Dammit to Hell if they didn't fuck up this story line, here I was praising how they sent Brendan off in a gun battle only to find out he barely even got his shoulder hurt WTF? Seriously people all they have accomplished is sending Brendan to prison again & knowing Ste he will never get over it UGH!!!! I am so disappointed in Hollyoakes I mean they had the perfect ending to Brendan's character and folded. So yeah I'm done with that show.

Of course Spartacus tonight was freaking Awesome, we have hope that Agron might just survive at least for another episode. I hope I just love this couple and want Nagron to make it out alive of course this is Spartacus and most everybody ends up dying but we have hope still, and Yes I am watching it again. LOL while hubs is laughing at me telling him to be quiet or sit still. Now I have to wait 2 weeks WHAT? two weeks you say? for episode 9 Tumblr will just have to keep me going till then.

Hi, My name is Gigi and I am now Tumblr addict

Okay it's official I'm addicted to Tumblr thats all it is to it. I mean first youtube sucked me in with it's shipping these super couples now tumblr has me too. I'm going to pull a James Dean and scream "I'm losing my mind" I think it was JD anyway but hell who knows. Anyway I gotta get some things off my chest first I've been watching Hollyoakes since "stendan" started and like most great couples on tv ( you know the ones that you just can't forget about) these two actors had some incredible chemistry. * Spoiler Alert*  I watched the conclusion to their story last night, and kudos to the writer's of Hollyoakes for the way they sent Brendan off, I usually hate to see when they kill off at least one of a super gay couple (which I might add happens alot or they have a kid and move away) What's up with that? ok I'll get to that topic another time but back to stendan there could have been no other way to save Brendan NONE! because of the complexity of the character his send off though sad and yes I cried like a baby couldn't have been better. The only thing that could have made it better was a little more stendan time at the end there that's it, yes it was heart wrenching but it worked with this particular couple mainly because of the character of Brendan but like I said I thought the send off for this couple was Awesome!

Now onto my next new addiction Nagron LOL yes I am now watching Spartacus on Starz only because of Agron & Nasir who make this show for me. Are you ROFL yet? My hubs did since he knows I'm not a history buff actually I can't even tell you how many times I have made hubs change the channel from the history channel I just have never enjoyed it..shrugs shoulders....it's just not my thing. So when my hubs seen me watching Spartacus he starts laughing his ass off saying if more guys would make out I'd be alot more interested in History, What can I say? I like men o_0
Anyway I am now a fan and hubs & I watch together which kinda sucks cuz it's ending soon in like 3 episodes...pouting...I just found them don't take them from me yet...whining....Okay I'm done now but these two actors have an incredible chemistry that makes them a super couple, I watched an interview with the writer Steven DeKnight and he said he wanted to show a love story that took it's time and let us get to know these characters who just fall in love with each other It's really a beautiful love story even with all the gore. Since you see these two guys evolve into guys who have such heart & passion not just for each other but the cause that they are fighting for too. I gotta say another Kudos for Starz and Mr. DeKnight for this intense but beautiful romance that won't be easily forgotten.
So if you haven't seen Spartacus yeah it's bloody and gory as hell but a really interesting story not only for Nagron but others in the storyline too, they just happen to be my favorite couple. I have a pic of the actor Dan Feuerriegel who plays Agron as my wallpaper he's in a tube standing up and hubs walked by stopped and said Damn even I think that's hot. Super Hilarious moment at our house.

And a couple months back I got hooked on Sterek which is the shipper couple on MTV's Teen Wolf I posted about it not long ago. It's another really good show that got me hooked because of chemistry between actors. It truly doesn't matter whether the characters are playing gay roles or not, it can be a bromance or even a het couple but some actors just are so good that their characters relate with certain ones and that's where we get these shipper couples. It's all in the Chemistry I have seen so called "super couples" on a soap who one leaves ends up on another soap when partner 2 comes along it doesn't work the same and falls apart. Well Duh one it depends on the actors, the writer's, the storyline and even the surrounding storylines and hell some actors are just that damn good that they can ship with anyone.

Okay I'm gonna go now but send me your favorite shipper couples or favorite gay couples Later Peeps Happy Reading!!!!

                                                                    *5 STARS*

This is my second book by this author, now to be honest I wasn't a big fan of the the first book not because it wasn't a good story but mainly I felt it had too much detail in it and not enough romance I know which is a weird thing since most of the time I like alot of info in a story but in that first book I felt it took away from the characters and their chemistry but that's also just my impression of it. Now this story had me hooked right from the first page it was exactly the kind of story I was looking for there are times it's incredibly intense and honestly most of the time I really felt like smacking Lucas upside the head I mean DUH? how can you be a LT and still be so clueless right? But I really also loved how not only their Dom/Alpha relationship comes into play but how it took time for their personal relationship develops, it's a serious story since it deals alot with the war in the middle east but there is also such a sweet love story that slowly builds even though the chemistry between Lucas & Noah is so thick that you can practically touch it through this author's words. There were also a lot of funny moments even in that intense situation and I have to say I loved how the author wove this paranormal element into currant times without it feeling like fantasy but made you think huh? that could work, without even having to stop reading to think about it. So I can't wait to read the next one in this series and sure as hell hope it'll be out soon. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Deadly Shades of Gold
And here's another good one!

“Wolf or vamp? Decide. It has to be now.”

Those were the last words Sam Garrett ever heard—as a human. Now on the para side of normal, the NOPD slammed the proverbial door on his career.

Travis Boudreaux knows exactly how his former partner feels—but when some doors close, the golden window of opportunity opens. Crimes against supernaturals require a new and different approach, and once the Feds show up, the Odd Squad isn’t the only law enforcement game in town.

After a revenge-seeking vampire creates deadly havoc, the new agent-in-charge is on a recruiting mission—and he’s more than ready to fight fire with fire. What do you get when you mix old friends, new enemies, and a license to kill?
                                                             *5 STARS*

I absolutely fell head over heels for the first two stories in this series YES! people there are two ALTERED STATES I think is the very first in this series then there is like a 1.5 called DEEP BLUES GOODBYE both of which were 5 STAR reads the brilliant minds and emotions of Laura Harner & TA Webb are just incredible I can't even tell you who exactly I am rooting for as a main couple I mean I love Sam & Travis and of course I want them together but I really liked Danny too and them throw in Russ & Jet well now were gonna add this hot as hell Special Agent Wayne Damn there is just soo many Hot men in this series I want them all...umm..I mean it makes for an interesting story yeah that's what I meant to say...uh anyway I loved these two incredible authors threw the paranormal into this story without me expecting it *spoiler alert* for Altered States I mean who literally wakes up at their wake LOL I loved the way this story has been going and truly can't wait to read more. I've become a huge fan for both of these authors and will continue buying more books from each they are diffidently both really good story tellers but put them together and it's a story that you will not soon forget besides Altered States is free on Amazon try this series it's amazing! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

My Barnes and Noble Complaint

Ok I'm going to complain about something...alright alright I'm gonna bitch about instead. I have been thinking about buying another Kindle or Nook since my Kindle has over 2000 books on it as of now. So I decided to go checkout the Nook over at my local Barnes & Noble, since I have had my Kindle I don't go into many bookstores now and the Books-A-Million went out of business. Now here's part of my complaint I live 10 minutes from a huge bigwig college (of which I am very proud to be a Hokie) anyway you would think that our B&N would have a nice selection well while I was there checking out the Nook's I decided to check out their M/M section and to what was my surprise they had none. And I mean none, not in the romance section or in sci/fy not even in mystery NOTHING!!!  and when I asked about it I was stared at like I had grown another head WTF people?
Well that made up my mind real quick I'm getting another Kindle besides the fact that I have never had any problems with my Kindle the way the B&N people treated me over a simple questions made the decision for me. I refuse to be ashamed of what I read I am a straight female who happens to LOVE reading about men What's the big frigging deal? Now the BAM had a small section of gay/lesbian books but at least I could go in pick one up and not have anyone be sarcastic or a jerk about, cuz I can be one right back.
It a shame that people feel they need to look down on others, we need to change that I'm trying to with my kids thats where it's gonna start and if someone asks I don't shy away I tell the truth men with men is just plain hot.
I started reading m/f romance novels at like age 8 (yeah I started reading very early) and I can honestly say that out of the thousands yes thousands of m/f books I've read I was always drawn to the not really butch stories more like not the damsel in distress ones like the Anita Blakes and Eve Dallas' I got so bored with reading the poor pitiful princess needs saving cuz her brain doesn't exist and there were lots of books I wouldn't even finish they were so boring or had the exact same plot line to each book, so a few yrs ago ran into a book by Shayla Black called Dangerous Boys & their Toys it's a m/m/f and there really isn't much m/m at all really but the chemistry between the two guys was incredible, so while punching up Shayla I found Shayla Kersten and bought my first m/m book Icing on the Cake
that was it I haven't looked back since LOL I don't believe I have read anything but m/m since 2010 and you know what? there are very very few stories that I don't like or won't finish and I'm always finding new authors that I like I mean I have 300 books to still be read and I buy at least one new one aday OUCH! Yeah we don't mention that to hubby LOL To me reading is peaceful and relaxing why should I not be able to read what I enjoy instead of what I'm told I should read. I have heard so many stories about the digital ebooks killing bookstores. Really? I don't think it's that at all it's places like my local B&N who not only didn't have a big selection of even m/f romance but who didn't have NOT one m/m book in their store, it's no variety or the people that they employ who aren't really there because they love books but cuz it's a paycheck. The digital age will continue to close bookstores unfortunately but it's not only the ereaders fault big chains need to rethink their demographic I mean I live in a college town basically hello thousands of 18-24 yr olds and you think none of them read m/m or yaoi? Times change get with the program or get left behind plain & simple I want to teach my own kids that reading is fun so I am also planning on purchasing a Kindle for them too because I want them to know that reading is fun and can take you anywhere you want to go.
Okay my bitchfest is over sorry but it just irked the hell outta me I've always respected B&N and I'm not saying that it's all B&N but even their website has very few m/m on there so my opinion is I won't waste my money there I'll buy from Amazon, ARe, Bookstrand,Total-E-Bound, and Dreamspinner since they go straight to my kindle. If you guys have more places for me to find ebooks let me know I love finding new books and new authors. Have a good day peeps and Happy reading!

Tattooed & Taken (Special Operations #2) & My Guardian Angelo (Special Operations #3) by Stormy Glenn

Tattooed & Taken
Deputy Robby Harrison wanted Wren Crivello from the moment they met, but no matter how hard he tries, Wren seems to only want to be friends. When Robby gets fired from his job by his brother, he suddenly realizes he’s chasing after a lost cause. In a fit of anger and depression, Robby ties one on at the local bar, only to wake the next morning in bed with a naked woman. Totally freaked out, Robby runs only to end up in the arms of the very man he was trying to forget.
                                         *5 STARS *

Stormy Glenn is one of my favorite writers because she can take a character or a series and completely wrap me so into the story that I have to have more. I just love this series, the first book in this series was incredible I fell so in love with John Henry & Charlie but then she brought in the sp op guys and John Henry's brothers and I couldn't wait for the next book. So yeah I did a little happy dance since we get Robby's & Wren's book and again it's an incredible story that I adored. Wren I liked right from the first time we meet him in book #1 and we got a little bit of a tease with these two from that story, I enjoyed how this story plays out and how we're introduced to more people from this small town, besides the sex being so steamy that I had to constantly wipe off my Kindle screen the story is really interesting and basically kept me guessing till the end. I did crack up a lot over the tramp stamp (as the guys call it) it's a funny mystery with a really sweet love story all wrapped up in one. Of Course when John Henry fires his brother I was like WTF? but the story plays out from there and all will make sense. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this whole series book #3 is next!!!!
My Guardian Angelo

Going undercover to find the commander of his marine unit was supposed to be the easy part. When his cover is blown, Lieutenant Bill Harrison doesn’t know whether to hold on for the dangerous ride or jump. With a drug lord determined to take them out, Bill has to rely on his skills and the sexy guardian angel sent to save him.

                                                    *5 STARS*

This is another one that Holy Hell had me wiping off my Kindle screen it was so HOT!! This is Bill (John Henry & Robby's older brother) & Angelo's story, which starts out Hot and just keeps going, I like how even though Angelo is kinda a small dude he kicks ass and isn't a damsel in distress kinda guy, He actually saves Bill a couple times whose a big bad military guy. It's an undercover story gone wrong but the way Bill & Angel get involved is really sweet and sexy but also intense and even a little tear jerking thrown on. I can't say it's my favorite because I have loved every story of this series so far but it's a diffidently one of the tops for me. I just pre-ordered the 4th book which comes out tomorrow SQUEE!!! SO I GOTTA HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Alright peeps, be back soon and keep on reading!!

Tell Me It's Real by T.J. Klune & Dirty Laundry (Tucker Springs #3) by Heidi Cullinan

Tell Me It's Real
Do you believe in love at first sight?

Paul Auster doesn't. Paul doesn't believe in much at all. He’s thirty, slightly overweight, and his best features are his acerbic wit and the color commentary he provides as life passes him by. His closest friends are a two-legged dog named Wheels and a quasibipolar drag queen named Helena Handbasket.

                                                * 5 STARS *

Have you ever read a review that said a book wasn't good at all but when you read it, it was amazing and you wonder WTH? was that person thinking? Of course everyone takes things differently but sometimes you will find a reviewer who sounds like they have it in for an Author and that reviewer came across to me as that way but luckily I had read this book this past weekend and FREAKING LOVED IT!!!!! I swear I laughed so hard and so much my hubby thought he may need to read it too. (And hubby hates to read unless it has pictures in it o_0  ) So with my sarcastic attitude this book was just brilliant I can't say it enough I LOVED IT. The insecurity that Paul feels about his weight and the Freddie Prinze Jring is a real issue because yes their are kids that do stuff like that and think its funny Bullying is just like that, in fact I can remember being done that way in the 6th grade. It happens we as parents need to be the ones to change that by showing and teaching our kids that bullying or making fun of ANYONE is just unacceptable and will result in consequences. Ok I'm off of my preachy shit now back on to this truly wonderfully hilarious sweet love story and TJ please, pretty please I want Damon & Sandy's (Helena) story please with sugar on top. What I ain't to proud to beg Oh god I'm showing my age by quoting old songs LOL What I loved most about this story was everybody even the most cynical person deep down wants  their Happily Ever After even if we fight it or  try sabotage it before it even has a chance it's there we need to learn to grab on to it with both hands and try for the best. It may work or it may not but the best advice in this story was simply How do you know if you never try? Right?  I can say I finished this book with a smile on my face.  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Dirty Laundry (Tucker Springs, #3)
The course of true love doesn’t always run clean. But sometimes getting dirty is half the fun.

Entomology grad student Adam Ellery meets Denver Rogers, a muscle-bound hunk of sexy, when Denver effortlessly dispatches the drunken frat boys harassing Adam at the Tucker Springs laundromat. Thanking him turns into flirting, and then, much to Adam’s delight, hot sex over the laundry table.

                                         *5 STARS*

This story had a more personal point in it for me, though I loved the storyline and DAMN the sex scenes were intense and freaking HOT and now my hubs wants to go to the laundromat o_0 even though we have our own laundry room at home LOL Cuz' he really liked the result of that scene and would like Ms. Cullinan to please write more LOL. I have enjoyed every book in this series so far and find it fascinating that even with 3 different Authors writing it I feel as though it's only one. The stories can stand alone but it's also nice to feel connected to previous couples and catch up with them in a small way. The main reason I adored this story is simply the OCD aspect of  it see I have OCD and yeah most of the time I down play it or joke about it but it is a real disorder that can at times mess my life up so much that I feel like I'm going crazy. At times I feel like I have to fight not to obsessive about simple little things it's a constant fight with myself that I have had to work on for my entire life. Does it get better or easier at least I feel it did for me but some of that was knowing too that I have a son who is battling OCD also. We distract alot it seems to help, but back to the story Ms. Cullinan I have to commend you for doing such an incredible job of portraying how devastating it can be and what a difference it can make to have an understanding patient person to stand by you. Because that is so true of course the BDSM part was great for the story don't think that would work for everyone with OCD but I could see how it worked and why it did for Adam. Besides the Laundromat scene Holy Crap on Cracker that was HOT!! Oh wait I may have already mentioned that before but it was worth mentioning twice. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Favorite Blogs that Inspire Me

It's true I'm finally back!!! Yes it has been one hell of a bad start to this year for me so far but I refuse to give in to the stress. We finally, yes finally got my 9yr old into another class and we have actually started counseling for her which I truly hope will help. It amazes me how authoritative figures in our school system will protect a bully teacher before they put a childs peace of mind at ease, it goes to show (me anyway) not to put trust in the people in charge of our childrens welfare. Anyway we are still battling that but I also lost my niece on Valentines day she had been battling drugs & alcohol addiction for awhile what's so sad is she was only 35yrs old. I keep thinking Jesus her life was just starting I'm 42 and I feel like I'm just now enjoying my life you know?

And of course I found Tumblr and yes I'm now addicted to it LOL  I have been having way too much fun on there. I have also read some of the most amazing, inspirational blogs that I just have to share now not all of these are review blogs some I think not at all but there's 2 that have inspired me to the point I have cried at their selflessness and beauty. 1. thornysterling.com  This young man as he calls himself gender fluid  I really like that term btw he makes me want to just hug him, he talks about life as it pertains to him but he also brings the joy in his life, to us. I can't say enough how impressed I am with this young man and truly hope he continues to include us into his and husband Jazz' plus friends Alec & Carter's lives. And Thorny if you happen to read this please know you have inspired an older woman (I refuse to say middle age LOL) to be a better person and a better parent, so Thank You.
so now 2.  2boysinlove.blogspot.com Matt & Brad are another couple who have just made want to give them big hugs their story is so beautiful but so real. They talk about everything from how they feel about each other, to their future dreams and even how they deal with their pasts and with Matt's ADHD I love the feelings we get because most of us can relate to at least one point in our own lives. Some posts are funny some are not so much but they never fell to put a smile on my face when reading one of their posts. So guys Thank you for sharing your lives with us,  never regress that you do make a difference in someones life because you truly have made one in mine. Ok I'm gonna fangirl a little bit because these are some of my favorite authors but they also have really fun and amazing blogs too 3. rickrreedreality.blogspot.com not only because I love reading his stories but reading about his life and very recently his marriage to his man Bruce was just beautiful and yes brings a smile to my face his son also inspires me with how he adores his dad. 4. rjscottauthor.blogspot.com two reasons for this being one of my favs first I also have an Autistic son so I have found some really great information from her posts, so I truly thank you for that. But also RJ keeps me informed with when her books are released and where (Yes my OCD kicks in and I actually have a notebook of coming book releases so I can buy them as soon as they come out) I for one love this it's nice to know when I can look for a new book to enjoy for one of my fav authors. LOL I know I can be weird but I like me so I get over myself esteem easily. finally 5. amberkell.wordpress.com simply she's another fav author of mine but she also has the most fascinating blog stories I have ever read I'm usually hooked by the first installment.

Now that's not all my favs but I was in the mood to let these know that even though it may not feel like you make a difference with every post you write, you do! even if it's only one person that smiles or cries with you, Don't stop sometimes a little piece of your joy or even your sadness will inspire someone else's for the better. Thanks for listening to me ramble on and Happy Reading peeps!

A Couple More Reviews for Ya

Like I said I have read a lot lately, and while I may have loved the story of some books I have noticed some pretty bad (and I mean) bad editing it's not even the stories really it's simple things like switching the characters names like one will be doing something and the other answers "Sam whispered in Sams ear" Just a generic made up sentence but you get what I'm talking about right?  And then I will have to go back and make sure I didn't mix them up And once or twice doesn't bother me I mean hell I do it all the time Damn Autocorrect  LOL Around Christmas was the worst I don't know if everybody was in a rush to get out the holiday stories or what but if I spend more than three bucks for an ebook and if around the fifth time in the first chapter I will just stop reading and then I get frustrated which makes me leary of reading or buying books by that author which has happened recently one author that I would buy their books as soon as they were out I now wait to see if any other reviewer complains first before I buy it. Of course I also pay attention the who publishes it too, and I will just stop buying from that publishing house if I keep reading crappy editing. I love to read so I don't mind buying books but watch the editing please it can sometimes not always but sometimes reflects poorly on that author. Now that I'm done complaining sorry that damn ocd acts up sometimes LOL I will get to some stories that didn't have bad editing and that I enjoyed reading:

THE LAWMAN'S LIBRARIAN by Rebecca Brochu *5 STARS I loved this romantic comedy, it was funny and just a little sappy sweet but I adored it. Nick & Peter where just so cute and poor Nick he was fricking hilarious if you want a fun but sexy story you'll like this one I felt like the characters had great chemistry even with the shorter story I could easily picture them.

FIFTEEN SHADES OF GAY(FOR PAY) by T. Baggins *5 STARS I was totally surprised by this book I honestly thought it wouldn't be a serious story and even though it has some humor it was a beautiful and sometimes intense story. I Loved it Andrew has so much stuff to deal with and he just tugged at my heart strings so many times I wanted to just hug this character. Cormac took me a little bit longer to like but honestly this story was Awesome, I'm so glad I took the chance to pick it up. This is another example of good blurb writing it fit the story and didn't make me think it was gonna be nothing but major angst or a fluff piece. This is a must read it just is that good!

Now onto some Christmas stories hehe: I liked most of these mainly because they made me smile, not much angst but lots of love and sweet stuff (Yeah even inner perv gets sappy sometimes)

TIS THE SEASON by Lisa Worrall  *4.75 STARS An adorable sweet story I enjoyed this one

JUST ASK by Mia Downing *4.75 STARS If I see a story on Amazon Best Selling chart that has been on there like over a month or longer and I don't have it yet that usually tells me there's something there that others are enjoying so my ocd kicks in and I have to buy it. This story is one of those moments and I'm really glad that I read it it's a really great story that I sincerely enjoyed and will read more from this author definitely

WISH LIST by KA Mitchell *5 STARS Not only was this a great Holiday story but it was a flipping KA Mitchell book Damn right it was Awesome!! Definitely a gotta read now story

NEW YORK CHRISTMAS by RJ Scott *5 STARS I loved this second chance Christmas story, so much emotion and beauty in a short story that I wanted to read more. I loved this couple and seriously wanted more.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME by Shawn Lane *4.5 STARS another sweet holiday story that I enjoyed

Okay folks that's a wrap for me right now hopefully I'll get my lazy butt in gear and type up some more so later peeps and Happy Reading!!

A Few Quickie Book Reviews and An Update!!!!

Okay first I finally got to talk to the superintendent of elementary school, nice lady actually listened and was visibly concerned especially after I showed both report cards and where the grade was changed that was last Tuesday. Today (after they rescheduled twice) met with principal, teacher, asst principal and guidance counselor first off it was at 8am this morning so I had to take my little one with me, her teacher parked beside us and my little one hid in the floor board when I asked what she was doing she said he would be mad at her because I went to the principal about him. Yeah that didn't go over well with me at all, so anyway went to this meeting nobody could tell me why her grade was changed or if her grades were the only students that was. I felt this teacher was very defensive to me, trying to come up with an excuse like that she was easily distracted or doesn't have a lot of male influence (since hubby works away during the week o_0 ) What does that have to do with her grades being changed? We are having her moved from his class which is what the superintendent recommended but still no one gave me a reason as to why her grade was changed ARGHHHH!!!! Yes I am frustrated I'm trying to figure out who I need to go to next or what our next step should be? We just want our child to have a good education without being in fear especially from an adult who we teach our children that they should trust. Any suggestions are welcome

Okay now that I have vented... whew...I feel better best thing about a blog great place to rant LOL anyway on to some quickie reviews.

MORE THAN HUMAN (Urban Affairs 3) by Gale Stanley  *4.5 STARS I really like series' and this one does a really good job of pulling me further into this "world" I really enjoyed it plus it's HOT as hell (yeah I likey) I became fascinated with the first story in this series and have enjoyed the two following books I also have the next couple on my to read list still.

IN A STRANGER'S EYES (Haven 7) by Gabrielle Evans  *4.5 STARS Another likey for me of course I'm a series' nut but I like feeling like these characters have become family and continue reading about them even as secondary characters another fun & exciting series you gotta pick up

SONG OF OESTEND by Marie Sexton  *5 STARS  Now I have to say this book scared the beejesus outta me and thats saying something considering I read Carrie at the age of 5, the story grips you from the beginning and I swear it doesn't let go till the end if even then I read this like 2 months ago and can still get chills no kidding but it's not a horror story not really its a love story but totally and completely fascinating I just have to recommend this book IT"S A MUST READ

TOO STUPID TO LIVE by Anne Tenino  *5 STARS This is part of the WhiteRock series which you can get the first 2 books from Allromanceebooks.com for free!!! I love free books LOL anyhow I had reviewed both a while back and totally loved them, this one just added to my joy. There were times alot of them actually where I wanted to just smack Sam for the tstl comments but loved him just the same, also thought it was great that it took a whole different twist we'll say than I expected near the ending I really liked it though and can't wait for the next one. It's gonna make me nuts till I find out who the main characters are LOL It's another gotta read

I'm gonna go for now but I will be back...gotta go buy more books (shhh don't tell my hubby) and Happy Reading!

A Couple of Quickies and an Update

Ok for all of you who have been so encouraging with the ordeal I'm trying to take care of with my daughter, I'm meeting with the Superintendent on Friday I'll keep ya abreast of what happens. And Thanks so much for the ideas and encouragement.

Ok now I mentioned before that I got money for Christmas right? well I have bought sooo many ebooks that I now have to remove some from my Kindle LOL no kidding Thank goodness that I read really fast because I have a ton to review, I had been in the Christmas mood last month bought a bunch of Holiday stories cause most were sappy too AWWWW....What can I say I have weird moods I love the fact that no matter what kind of mood I'm in I usually have a few Authors that I know won't disappoint me in reading...like if I want a good emotional, heart ripping, cry it all out story I look to an Amy Lane book or if I'm in the mood for HEA with paranormal I can read a Stormy Glenn or Lynn Hagen or Jana Downs, and then sometimes I just want smut, you know down & dirty with very little storyline but lots of sex (hubby really likes it when inner perv gets loose) There are just too many of my favorite Authors on my reading list to name I love books plain and simple so when asked what I wanted for Christmas I told everyone books nothing else just books. I'm glad I got them too now if only i would actually review them instead of jumping to read the next one...shrugs...what can I say I've been a little lazy lately LOL But I promise to try and do better because I have read some absolutely wonderful stories recently and hope you will check them out too. Ok a few quickies for you

GOING UNDER by Lisa Worrall   *4.5 STARS honestly this story scared the beejesus  out me I mean it was great don't get me wrong but totally freaked my ass out you gotta check it out.

WHAT ABOUT HIM by E.E. Montgomery  *4.75 STARS I had read some not great reviews for this one but I gotta say I loved it, goes to show that everybody can have a difference of opinion but I thought this one was really good

NEEDING A LITTLE CHRISTMAS by Silvia Violet  *4.75 STARS one of the best holiday stories I read this year truly a feel good story I enjoyed this story a lot.

Ok I'll stop for now but hopefully will be back for another couple of quickies later today. Happy reading peeps

What to do when the Teacher is the one being a Bully?

Sorry Guys I know I have been away for awhile with Christmas, the flu and the current situation with my youngest going on I've been a little lost, I have been reading though : D I got like $400 from hubby for my Christmas gift and spent all of it on Ebooks no kidding!

Anyway let me get to why I am asking for help my youngest is 9 and in 3rd grade, this is the one that wants to be a doctor she also has food allergies to the point that if she eats or drinks anything with milk or dairy products in it she'll go into anaphylatic shock (We carry Epi Pens with us) she also has Asthma and wears a Medical alert bracelet I tell you all this so you'll get a sense of this really cool kid because she's incredibly smart too She decided that she wanted to be a Doctor when she was around 5 when her Asthma started to get worse she even asked for a real stethoscope and blood pressure cuff (not a toy one mom, she told me rolling her eyes) for Christmas. So here's my problem it started about a month after school did this kid who couldn't wait to go to school before started crying and begging me in the mornings not to send her it took me a while to get it out of her what was wrong, when I did it was that her teacher was yelling at her and saying stuff like your not smart enough to be a doctor, your boots are ridiculous (her favorite comfort cowboy boots), is there something wrong in your head, that was just all I could get out of her. So of course I went to the Principal who asked me to give her a couple days to get to the bottom of it, I did that. My Hubby and I went back two weeks later (this was in November) the Principal said she couldn't find anything wrong with the teacher but brought up some other suggestions one: to move her away from what is considered a bad influence child (HUH?) Yeah I didn't get that either and two: my child should be seen by a doctor that maybe she needed to be medicated for Anxiety. No that did not go over well with me I don't believe a pill to calm a child is the way to go she's fine everywhere else but at school
Since the holidays were wild and crazy as always I didn't push it but never heard back from the Principal either. Yesterday I got her second report card this child who always made straight A's is now all C's and a D I check her planner everyday and any homework has been done so I know it's not that This Teacher also has my phone number and email if they were concerned about her work, I have heard nothing. My child also reads on a 6th grade level (she's a reader like me) so why are grades dropping my personal opinion is the Teacher is mad that I complained.
I have had other friends who happen to work there tell me that he'll make comments or actually make fun of my  child when it's just teachers around. I'm really struggling with this because 1: I'm a parent of course I wanna come to her rescue 2: it makes me angry that I can't get anyone to listen 3: I thought we were trying to stop bullying not allow adults who should know better confuse and humiliate students

I haven't just assumed my child is perfect either I mean I have to work with this kid on math which she is struggling with, but I feel as though I'm getting nowhere so What do I do? Please help I'm afraid that it's getting worse
