Mind Magic by Poppy Dennison

Mind Magic
Magical species must never mix. According to the rules, Simon Osborne should ignore the children’s cries for help. After all, they’re werewolf cubs, and he’s an apprentice mage. But for once in his life, Simon breaks the rules and rescues the cubs, saving them from a demon intent on draining them of their magic.

Of course, all actions have consequences, and Simon’s bold move earns him the displeasure of his peers and the attention of the cubs’ alpha, a man named Gray Townsend.

The last thing Gray needs is a mage in his life, but Simon did save his son. Since Simon is now a friend of the pack, Gray doesn’t have much choice about it—or the forbidden attraction that goes along with it. Unfortunately for the alpha, he needs Simon’s help to track down the demon behind the kidnappings—before it strikes again. Simon and Gray must join forces to protect the pack, even as they struggle to resist the temptation that threatens to destroy them both.

This is my first book by Ms. Dennison and I loved it, I am sooo hoping that this is gonna be a series. This book was exciting and kept me guessing from the first page, there were really great surprises, some funny moments and some Hot sex. Besides making this into a series I couldn't ask for more.

Simon is just a sweetheart, I mean he just can't let those kids suffer so no thought to his own safety he goes to the rescue. He just becomes this adorable Mage that I wanted to hug, he does so much to save these kids knowing he may get into serious trouble with his council. Their never supposed to interact with other supernaturals, but Simon is drawn to Gray, he becomes a friend to Gray's pack which has some funny moments that I loved.

Gray is alpha and father of one of the kids Simon saves, when they meet sparks fly. The chemistry is seriously strong  between these two, they have alot of fun with each other too. I really liked that the kids had a major role in this book instead of being a prop, brought more feeling to this story. I also would love to read Liam, Cade & Cormac's stories I really liked these characters they had some funny moments especially Cade "he's being mean". I laughed my ass off.

I recommend this book it was a great love story that is well written but had some fun in it too. I Loved it!

False Start by Janey Chapel

False Start

Tucker’s spent ten years pretending to be straight—ten years thinking about his mistakes. But all the time in the world couldn’t prepare him for the reality of seeing Whit again. Whit’s taller, more mature, more attractive than ever, and every bit as out and proud as he was ten years ago. Time hasn't changed the chemistry between them, and it looks like Tucker might get a second chance. All he has to do is brush aside the years of lies and embrace one powerful truth.

                                                        4.25 STARS

I gotta say this was a really good story alittle short and left me wanting more but definitely a good story. I liked that we get both sides of the story, a few things that I would have liked answered but I got enough for me to really like this one. Tucker is so far in the closet he can't even see the light around the shut door, so mainly this story is about him trying to figure out what he has in his life thats worth while. Then we get Whit whom I just loved we all have that one person who we had a crush on forever and if given the chance we'd jump at it or jump that person at least LOL. I recommend cause it's a nice story even if I would've liked more maybe we'll get a sequel...fingers crossed...I hope.

Another Dumb Jock (Dumb Jock #2) by Jeff Erno

Another Dumb Jock
In Dumb Jock, Jeff and Brett fall in love, but their relationship is not without challenges. Brett’s a football star, and Jeff is the classic nerd. Their coming of age and coming out story is set in the 1980s, and they face many obstacles. Yet their love for each other is strong, and they finally get their happy ending.

Now, almost three decades later, their children are teenagers. Adam, their fifteen year old son, is the star pitcher of his high school baseball team. He has grown up with two dads, in a loving, non-judgmental environment. Yet Adam has challenges of his own. He’s failing two of his classes at school, and he’s been suspended for fighting. He resents being labeled and insists that just because he has two dads, it doesn’t mean that he is himself gay.

When he is forced to accept help from another student in his algebra class, Adam starts to have feelings that cause him to question his very identity. He’s got to decide whether to follow his heart or to maintain the image he’s worked so hard to portray. Will he have the courage to take a stand for what he knows is right, or will he end up being just another dumb jock?

                                                                  4.5 STARS

This story touched me in so many ways, I'm not even sure where to start. First the parents Jeff & Brett I LOVED! the way they don't make excuses to anybody for little hugs and kisses is awesome, I liked the way they approach parenting their kids and the love that they shower on them. Second Adam being a fifteen yr old and how he views things is so on the money that I found myself cracking up, when he's embarrassed by his father being more in a mother role kinda is hilarious, but still an issue he needs to work on. Having a teen myself I get the embarrassed by your parents bit.

Adam trying to deal with the issues of homophobe is alot for any kid add in normal teenage stuff UGH! You couldn't pay me enough money to be a teen again. He dealing with a bully, but then he has to deal with a school official whose homophobic as well, yes she really pissed me off that where kids get bullying from adults, sorry it really pisses me off. But anyway in walks his tutor Trevor and suddenly he finds he's attracted to another guy, on top of all the other issues now he may be gay?

Normally I would have thought it was too much by the way Mr. Erno writes it, it comes across as fun but serious, with a few surprises thrown in too.I really don't want to spoil anything but my favorite part is father walking in at an interesting moment Loved it. I recommend this book.

Light Outside the Closet (Haven Coffee House Boys #1) by Stephani Hecht

Light Outside the Closet (Haven Coffee House Boys #1)
Being a gay teen is hard enough, but when Christian's strict father is transferred to a different city and Christian has to go to a new school, he discovers how much worse things can get. Fortunately, before he sinks into depression, Christian finds a new group of friends, who are also gay. Christian soon learns that his friends have their own problems, from desperately seeking attention to abusive family members.

This is the first book in an exciting new series that follows the high and lows of Christian and his friends through their senior year as they seek acceptance and love while dealing with hostility and homophobia. Will all of them survive to see graduation... or will they lose somebody along the way?

                                                                  4.25 STARS

I honestly didn't know if I would like reading this YA book so I have had it in my to read list for awhile, but I gotta tell you that I absolutely loved this story. It's a tale of small group of teens who are struggling with their being gay, how those around them react friends & family and the situations that evolve with their coming outs.

Christian is the new guy he just moved to town, has a really supportive family but still a little shy, I fell for this character immediately the way he stands up to those that bully not only him but his friends also is to be commended, his bravery should be what we all strive to have. They meet at this coffee house which is like their haven to be who they want to be without fear.

I couldn't decide which other character was my favorite so Taylor & Devlin are tied I loved these two, Taylor because this kid so needs someone to give a shit I mean we know it happens but to read all this kid goes through Damn! I wanted to smack someone. Devlin cause he doesn't put up with anyones bullshit, he may be a little in your face but after seeing what his cousin & friends go through I get why he's that way.

This book deals with some intense serious issues which we know truly exist, but it was also fun and sweet with a little bit of a love story thrown in. I recommend this series I can't wait for the next book to come out, what a great concept for a young adult series I loved it

Payback (True Colors #3) by Clare London

Payback (True Colors, #3)
Zeke Roswell and Miles Winter met as business enemies, when Miles acquired Zeke’s precious but neglected art gallery. And then things changed. Over time, they were thrown together as mismatched—and very reluctant—partners, until their attraction grew stronger than any argument. Even if Miles did protest the other night when Zeke cuffed him to his office filing cabinet and had his way with him. In fact, Miles promised there’d be payback… and Zeke doesn’t know it yet, but Miles is about to collect.

                                                4.5 STARS

This 3rd story in the True Colors series is awesome, it's a short HOT story that I enjoyed. I even get something that I had wanted to happen in the first two but finally get in this one. I ain't giving it away, but it's a great story to read, Miles & Zeke they are two of my favorite characters of all time and True Colors is one of my all time favorites. I recommend

Jeremiah's Heart (Shifters of Mystery #3) by Lynn Hagen

                                                            4.5 STARS

I am a huge fan of Ms. Hagen's books, doesn't matter what series the book is in I always enjoy it. I'm either laughing, crying, needing a cold shower, or squealing like a little girl, but I can trust in that she will entertain me. As with this one book 3 in the Shifters of Mystery series I really like the concept of this series right from the start. I'm so loving this series I really wanna read the next one soon and can't wait for Pat & Sam's story.

At the end of book 2 we meet Sylvester who is abducted & injected with werewolf venom to make him turn, which may kill him when Jeremiah steps in to make him his mate which will save Sylvester but still turn him. In book 3 we see how Sylvester is abducted and why, plus we get more info on where the series may be going and a few other secondary characters that may get their own story.

Jeremiah is kinda a grumpy butt in previous books and we get more info of why he's  like that. Plus we get how meeting Sylvester and falling for him changes the way he looks at the world. It's a really cute love story that at one point broke my heart, I cried like a baby, but then the sex is incredibly hot so I stopped.

I recommend this one but you really need to read the series, its fun, sexy and very entertaining. Loved it.

Frog by Mary Calmes

Frog
Weber Yates's dreams of stardom are about to be reduced to a ranch hand’s job in Texas, and his one relationship is with a guy so far out of his league he might as well be on the moon. Or at least in San Francisco, where Weber stops to see him one last time before settling down to the humble, lonely life he figures a frog like him has coming.

Cyrus Benning is a successful neurosurgeon, so details are never lost on him. He spotted the prince in a broken-down bull rider's clothing from day one. But watching Weber walk out on him keeps getting harder, and he’s not sure how much more his heart can take. Now Cyrus has one last chance to prove to Weber that it's not Weber's job that makes him Cyrus's perfect man, it's Weber himself. With the help of his sister's newly broken family, he’s ready to show Weber that the home the man’s been searching for has always been right there, with him. Cyrus might have laid down an ultimatum once, but now it's turned into a vow—he's never going to let Weber out of his life again.

                                          5 STARS

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! I gotta say I was so wrapped up in this book that I laughed, cried, blushed?. ok maybe not the last one, but Ms. Calmes always gets me so wrapped up in her stories that I feel like I have just watched the best love story movie ever made. Her A Matter of Time series is my all time favorite series ever written I have read it multiple times, and will be adding this book to my repeat reads. At times it is intense and I was a little worried that it would go down a different path, but I'm so glad I kept reading. Ms. Calmes (if by chance you are reading this) you are an amazing writer, I hope you continue to write more wonderful stories and I will keep buying them to read.

We start with Weber who really has a good amount of issues he has to work through, just to get him to an ok place with himself not to mention in a relationship. And work on them he does, he's completely alone no family, not alot of job prospects and sitting in the rain this cowboy broke my heart from the first page. And I loved the flash back to how he & Cyrus meet it's HOT!! Then to see how he comes to the rescue for not only Cy but Cy's sister & her kids makes him a Prince Charming in my book. Once he realizes he has lost his heart he loves unconditionally which is so well written

Cyrus is so in love with Weber that he doesn't give up on him, not in the three years since they met. I really loved that Cy refuses to  let Web's pride get in the way, it's a wonderful trait that I love from the adorable Doctor. He also has his own insecurities that he has to work through but it's worth any tears in this story Cy is determined to get his happy ever after so he goes after it with everything he's got. The issues that they work through together is even a better storyline I really liked how they communicate, a big plus i that I enjoyed.

I recommend this story, and if for some reason you haven't read a Mary Calmes story what in the world are you wanting for I promise you will be entertained to the point you will be like me and buy her books without even reading what it's about, I have complete trust that she will make me laugh, smile, cry and even bite my nails with intensity.

This is book 4 in the Dark Times series, I gotta say I liked it, this whole series has been fun, sexy and just flat out entertaining as hell for me.

Danny I just fell for and the surprise of who he really is just made me love him even more, his fears are justified and make a whole lotta sense considering what he's been through. Plus to his mate Jay he smells like chocolate & oranges yum. Even when he pushes Jay away he still tries not to be mean about it, Danny is just adorable. and I loved see Kai, Harry & Micah again.

Jay is adorable just cause he's pouting at the beginning of the book, I thought it was cute a big tough guy that pouts so well LOL. Jay tries to be supportive and understanding but patience is not this guys strong point. At one point I got a little concerned that Jay was going to do something stupid, but I got the why, in this story Great Job Ms. Shaw.

I recommend this book, and if you haven't read this series you need to it's very entertaining plus the sex is really Hot! ( yeah I know I always like the sex).

The Art Of Words by RJ Scott & Meredith Russell

The Art Of Words

After years of following his activist parents, artist Blu Taylor finally found somewhere to call home.

He sees art in the world around him yet is never truly part of it. There's a line that keeps him just on the outside of everything and everyone else except his best friend.

Thomas Harrington has everything—the money, the car, and the designer suits. But something is missing from a seemingly perfect life, lost when his mother was taken ill.

After attending a local art show, Blu is contacted by Tom and offered his dream—a chance to show at a gallery.

Though there is a growing attraction between the men, their worlds couldn't be more apart. Blu speaks through paint and brushes, and Tom's life is filled with words and paperwork.

Though opposites attract, these differences might push them apart

                                                        3.75 STARS

This book was a little surprising for me, I'm a big fan of Ms. Scott's books but this one didn't make me very excited, now don't get me wrong it's a beautiful love story it was just a little slow moving with very little drama. I didn't feel like I got a chance to really get into Blu's head or heart, he seemed kinda lost the entire book. I got Tom a little bit more but still felt like I was missing something. I really was rooting more for Jackson to decide he really wanted Blu but that wasn't to be, and he ended up being my favorite character in this book.

The story line had great potential just feel flat here, Harry was another character I didn't like though he does sorta redeem himself at the end. I will still recommend because I trust in Ms. Scott's stories and her stories really do entertain, this one didn't do it for me, but it might for someone else.

Battle of Hearts by Valentina Heart

Battle of Hearts
Living in a world where vampires can't stand the sight of shifters, and shifters gag at the smell of vamps, is anything but easy for a wolf and a cougar, especially with a vicious war always at their doorstep and vampires decimating their species.

Valerian is the Alpha of a pack, a fighter and an unemotional killer, but one whose skill has kept him alive. On one of his missions, among captured shifters, he finds the cougar Teddy, his mate.

Things would be simple if either of them actually wanted a mate, but on top of the fact that they don't, there is also a small issue of clashing personalities - they are more likely to attack first, have sex if they survive.

                                                       2 STARS

What can I say I did not like this book at all, it has a warrior feel to it which usually I like but this one no. I felt the love story was lost in all the blood & gore that is involved I mean the story for me got lost somewhere and Valerian is an ass, seriously I couldn't find anything that would make me like this character at all. He's a jerk who doesn't even know how many kids he even has or who they are and basically the first time he has sex with his mate felt a little too much forced. And Teddy is put through so much angst & drama it was too much, Teddy I could have liked but we never really get to meet him, and don't even get me started on the kids I was like WTH? then the whole last half of the book felt creepy bordering on my limits of subjects that I would read about. I'm sorry to say but I wouldn't recommend this book. I will say that I was disappointed, the last book I read by this author was fun & I really liked it, so I was completely surprised with the dark situations in this one.

For the Living by L.A. Witt

For the Living
For the last year, Jay Warren has struggled to find the nerve to tell his wife he’s gay. He’s ashamed of hiding it all this time and he doesn’t want to hurt her, so every time he gets the chance to tell her, he freezes up. The guilt has been almost unbearable, but when his wife dies suddenly, Jay’s conscience threatens to eat him alive.

Funeral director Scott Lawson deals with the bereaved every day of his life, and he’s also all too familiar with the inside of the closet. He offers Jay some much-needed compassion and understanding, and from that connection comes a friendship that quickly—perhaps too quickly—turns into something more.

But are grief, guilt, and loneliness the only things tying them together? Or will Scott get tired of being used as an emotional crutch before Jay realizes what he has?

                                                                  4.5 STARS

This book is intense it deals with issues that are sensitive and can be uncomfortable to read about, but  Ms. Witt pulls them together in a great read that you can't put down. I'm a huge fan of Ms. Witt every book she writes wraps me in emotion and tugs my heart strings. Yes this book deals with emotions and situations that I don't necessarily like to read about, in this book I went through so many emotions but yet I didn't feel drained and this is a love story so that really balanced it out for me.

I really don't want to give a lot away so I'll just say this is a book you got to read the chemistry between Jay & Scott is beautiful, even meeting the way they do. The hardest thing in this book for me to read was the fear that Jay has lived with for so long, he breaks my heart because he represents what makes a lot of people afraid to come out. Fear its a powerful emotion that can make some afraid to take any step in any direction. Like I said it's intense but so worth the emotions you will feel reading For the Living. I recommend

Country Mouse by Amy Lane & Aleksandr Voinov

Country Mouse
Owen may be a bit of a country mouse, but he’s loving his vacation in London. After a long day playing tourist, he’s on the hunt for some cheap beer and a good burger. Instead he finds a man hunting him, an arrogant prick with only one thing on the brain: the kind of meat that doesn’t come on a bun.

Eighty-hour weeks at a trading desk don’t leave Malcolm Kavanagh much time for meaningful relationships. Besides, in his world, everything’s a competition—even sex. When his newest one-night-sub fails to show, Malcolm sets his sights on the pretty young Yank on the bar stool beside him.

Owen’s all for an adventure with a native, but he’s not the pushover Malcolm thinks he is, and Malcolm’s not as shallow as he tries to be. They both soon learn that nothing's too intimate to share with a stranger, and the strangest things happen when two people share the most important pieces of their hearts

                                                            5 STARS

Ok only complaint I want more, I loved this couple Owen & Malcolm have so much chemistry that I fell in love with them from the first page. I really thought I wouldn't like Malcolm "Mr. stock trader city boy" but I could see right through his Dom facade and he right to his insecurities. Owen "Mr. country mouse" on the other hand even being only 23 yrs old has his head on pretty darn straight, but he's just such a nice guy people kind of walk all over him.

When they get together not only do sparks fly, but we get in deep with each character and truly see how they could possibly fall in love that quick. The ending to this book was absolutely perfect, and beautiful it was like watching a epic love story. I really liked that the only focus was on their time together not a lot of other characters or distractions.

For this book to be as short as it was , I got to understand more of each character than most novel length books I've read. I so hope Ms. Lane & Mr. Voinov write another one together, cause this one was a wonderful, beautiful, sexy love story that I will be reading again & again. I recommend

                                                             4.75 STARS

OK first off Holy shit this book is Scorching Hot, I'm sure I'm going to hell for enjoying this book so much LOL. Usually the first book in a series is mostly to set up the storyline for the world we the reader are entering, Ms. Downs actually did that so seamlessly that I was completely surprised by it.

Madigan is just a normal guy whose turning 28 yrs old, he also owns a bakery shop with his mother. His mom has told him on multiple occasions that the Archangel Raphael was his father, to which Madi thinks his moms off her rocker. After a small birthday party Madi heads home to an assassin attempt by Angels? WTF

Cross is head of Madi's new Guardian Angels mission, along with Michel, Dex, Bren, and Yuri. They are to protect Raphael's son against assassins bent on wiping out what they consider an abomination.Yuri finds something that may help their situation but it also calls for an extreme sacrifice to keep Madi safe. Once Madi finds out he's going thru a kind of Angel puberty all hell breaks lose. In a good way LOL

I recommend this book but I'm leaving a warning you may need a cold shower after reading I did. Have fun reading this one, now I'm going to go read the second one I may need to start smoking after that one

                                                     4.75 STARS

Okay, I have realized that Ms. Glenn is one of those wonderful favorites of mine that get me completely addicted to a series with the first book. There's just something in the way she seems to start a book that I can't put it down till I'm finished with it, and then it leaves me wanting to read her next book even if it's not in the same series. I also pre-order her books without even reading the blurb (1) I know no matter the story I will be entertained (2) Her books make me laugh, cry or just escape from the stress in my life Ms. Glenn ROCKS!

Now for this story, I gotta say I was completely surprised by events in this book, Seth's actions in this one caught me off guard I can't wait to read his story. I also got to see some of my favorites from previous books I love Rowan he's soo funny, and I wanna read Jackson's story too.

Azizi is a human who works for Seth, who takes him along to Rowan & Luca's wedding. Where he meets Luca's brother Manu whose a vampire/cat shifter as Manu finds out Azizi is his anamchara (soul mate). They find out that Azizi' father is head of a hunter guild (bad guy very bad guy) I hated him right off the bat. Anyway events unfold in such a way I didn't suspect even for a minute how this would go...which is a good thing...

I really try not to give too much away in my reviews so I'll just say you gotta read this one it's Great I'm recommending.

                                                              4.75 STARS

I loved that book#8 threw us such an interesting and wonderful twist that led to Corbin's story here in book#9. This series gets better and better with each book, we keep getting new surprises that keep me wanting more. I've already got the next book pre-ordered can't wait to read it.

Corbin we met early on in this series is a Lynx shifter who has a stubborn side even when he meets Winter his mate who happens to be a sidhe Prince next in line to the throne. There's a lot that goes on in this series that each book brings us closer to the main focus of said series.

Yet we get to interact to a lot of previous book characters, which I love and still we learn so much about our currant MC's. Winter has been reluctantly deceiving his new found friends, once he is put on the spot he decides to come clean. To fix this he must get married to none other than Corbin, thank goodness Corbin is on board since Winter really is his mate. Then the fun begins.

I recommend I loved this story, I'm a sucker for an HEA so a story that brings me that and can entertain me is a great read!

Barnabas Leopold is a kind and intelligent half fae, half vampire who comes home to lead the East Coast Council. With the loss of his entire family, Barnabas longs for love to make him feel whole.

Miles Juniper, Barnabas's head of security, is fiercely protective of his charge, especially after he realizes they are mates. After several misunderstandings, he believes that Barnabas doesn't love him while everything he does is because of his love for Barnabas.

Digger Slane, on the other hand, walks into their mess with his heart on his sleeve when he realizes he's mated to them. His is eager to help Barnabas and Miles resolve their issues so that all three of them may become true mates.

Will these men have a chance to truly explore and enjoy the love they share with one another, or will they be torn apart by demons intent on destroying the last Leopold?

                                              4.5 STARS

I love this series, I love how all three series' interact so that I get to see some of my favorites from previous books, I love how each story is so individual that I don't ever feel like I've read this before. And I gotta say that can not be an easy thing for any author to do, yet I always feel as though I'm reading an original story from Ms. Flynn everytime.

Barnabas took me a little by surprise, he's got this tough side that comes across yet he's completely insecure in his weight something that he struggles with constantly. He's been in love with Miles his bodyguard since he was fifteen yet Miles pushes him away everytime, which threw me since Miles is his mate right? But bring in Digger who is also Bas & Miles mate and you get one hell of an interesting story.

There are times I really wanted to beat the hell out of Miles, and Bas both but then we get a major confrontation(sorta) that brings the reasons and the purpose to light which I really liked by the way. Add in some interesting supernatural stuff and wha-la I couldn't put it down I needed to finish it so I sat up till 3am to finish it (and getting up at 5:30am) I recommend I like a story that lets me escape my real life crazyness and enjoy a fantasy or two, this entire series does that for me.

Kissing Orion (A Vampires' Kiss #1) by Amber Kell

Kissing Orion (A Vampires' Kiss, #1)
Aaron Bradshaw's boss told him to acquire the vampire Orion's cooperation in their police investigation. Little did he know that sweet talking his way into the club was the first step in establishing a long-term relationship with a vampire.

Orion has been alone for a long time. However, one look at the sexy detective and he decides he knows what he wants to keep by his side. Aaron's insistence on throwing himself into danger drives Orion insane. How is he going to keep his lover safe and still let Aaron do his job while hunting down drug runners in Orion's club?

                                               4.5 STARS

Seriously I haven't read an Amber Kell book that I didn't fall head over heels in love with. And Kissing Orion didn't disappoint, I loved the characters Aaron & Orion, I loved the plotline, of course loved the sex but I gotta say Ms. Kell gets me involved with her characters then I'm freaking out till her next book comes out it's like an addiction only in a good way LOL. I don't like to give to much away but just know it's a great read that of course left me wanting (no needing) more. I recommend

Trip's Fury (Dark Times #5) by Christine Shaw

Trip's Fury (Dark Times, #5)
Stopping in a '50s-style diner close to midnight on his way across country was not when Trip Barret expected a life-changing experience. As he meets the chef, he finds himself giving his small mate pleasure right there in the diner before demanding the little man go home with him.

Micah Fury has always been alone from the very moment he was able to understand what the word meant, and when the sexiest man he has ever seen comes to the place where he works demanding Micah go home with him, he jumps at the chance. Moving to Texas seemed like a good idea, and the fact the man is a Dom sure as hell didn't go unnoticed—that is until he finds himself with a mating mark for life and a very real werewolf mate who wants him always.

Back home everything runs smoothly until unusual things begin to happen. Something is different in Trip's mate, and what will happen when they find out what is different with Micah?

                                                     4.5 STARS

This is book #3 in the Dark Times series, it's Trips story and I really really liked this story it's more character inclined and has limited drama, right now that works for me. I liked the immediate chemistry between Trip & Micah with the added getting to know each other and the mystery of who Micah really is added in.

Micah seems like a level headed been through hell but determined to survive kinda guy, who likes a little makeup and flash with his style. Though he is missing memories from his past, he has a strong will to keep going, I really liked this guy. He's nobody's doormat.

Trip is a beta in his best friend Dark's pack, when his mother passes away he head to his home pack where he was thrown out for being gay for her funeral. On the way back he stops for a meal, and meets Micah his mate.

It's a fast love story but well written and all the information that I feel is important is given, explained and fits well within this story.
I recommend but seriously this series is great I like it just pre-ordered the fourth in this series.

Sins Of Profession (Creatures of Sin #5) by India Harper

Sins Of Profession (Creatures of Sin, #5)
Detective Mike Finesterre thought he knew what he was getting into when he joined Zone Six, home to Pittsburgh PD’s problem children and officers in the rough. But the department has a reputation for good work, despite their sometimes unorthodox methods. Mike’s just happy to be off the beat, even if it’s not much fun being the new guy. He doesn’t get to dwell on his rookie status for long, however, when he’s thrown in the deep end of undercover work investigating a string of murders surrounding Magnum Studio’s hot young porn stars.

Lucas McAndrews loves sex. He wouldn’t be a professional gigolo otherwise, although the money doesn’t exactly hurt. Operating on the fringes of the law, he’s had several occasions to collaborate with the police...sometimes quite willingly. Zone Six is investigating murders involving a local porn studio and needs someone intimately familiar with the sex industry as their inside man. Lucas is happy to help, especially when he meets the department’s newest recruit, the quick-to-blush Detective Mike Finesterre.

Growing attraction soon takes a back seat as Mike, not Lucas, finds himself in the limelight, and catching the eye of porn legend Long John Fenton, a man who will have things his way. Not to mention the fact that there’s a murderer on the loose, one who is closer than anyone thinks...

                                                                    4.25 STARS

Even though this is book#5 of the Creatures of Sin series this is my first book by this author, I gotta say for the most part I enjoyed it, and will go back and buy the previous books in this series. They're were parts I didn't like some much but I eventually got why it was written that way and what part it played in this series. Plus the Sex is off the charts HOT!

Mike is a rookie detective who is talked into going undercover at a porn studio then gets pulled in to do a scene he keeps a level head (while everyone else is a panic cause he's a newbie) Mike's not as innocent as his work mates assume.

Lucas is a sex worker, whom happens to not only sleep with the Commander David & his partner Carver from previous book but also is a high class escort. He goes undercover at said porn studio to help find a killer.

Lucas & Mike are extremely attracted to each other and sparks fly between them, but they also have this crazy killer to find. I'm recommending this one because I do like the chemistry between Lucas & Mike, but I will probably like it even better after reading the previous books, I think that always helps when you have a series.

                                                     4.5 STARS

I bought this book because I read Mile's Awakening by this Author and Loved it, Yeah I know call me a perv whatever This author can write some Damn Scorching sex scenes, but believe me the storyline that goes along with it is worth the read. Set me on Fire is HOT! I mean who knew I had a thing for Firemen (okay, okay quit laughing) of course I have a thing for Firemen doesn't every woman?

Kelly is this adorable rookie Firemen who apparently is a bit clumsy but he's learning the ropes and making mistakes is sometimes normal, plus he's got a crush on his lieutenant(boss).

While Nate's comes across as a hard ass, whose constantly yelling and putting Kelly down. Yet he also has a secret crush on Kelly, his fears of something happening to the young rookie makes him come across as hating Kelly not wanting him.

I loved this book it's intense but fun especially the Lieutenant's brother the Captain Andy I liked him. My favorite thing in this book besides the Hot sex was that Kelly stood up for himself and didn't cower under his intense desire for Nate. It's a really great love story in a shorter read but I liked it. I recommend.

Cold Moon (Moon #3) by MJ O'Shea

Cold Moon (Moon, #3)
Charlie Fitzgerald is sick of being the kid who nobody takes seriously. His older brother Colin is off in New York City fighting bad vampires and other trouble causers and Charlie wants in on the action. He thinks it’s impossible until he overhears something that seems to be his perfect opportunity. The Lycan council is looking for a human emissary--someone to take a message of peace to a volatile werewolf who lives in the dark forests of Romania. Charlie decides that emissary will be him.

Xan, or X’andrien as he’s known to his people, is furious. His best friend, who also happens to be one of the Fitzgeralds his family has vowed to protect, has gone missing. When they find out where Charlie has gone, Xan has to chase him all the way to Europe and eventually save his stubborn butt in the middle of the night in the freezing cold Romanian forest. He never realized how much his best friend and charge meant to him until he was nearly killed.

Together, they end up stuck in the middle of a political mess that includes the lycans, the werewolves, and some very nosy vampires. If the two of them manage to make it out alive, they may realize that stuck together or not, years of friendship for one stubborn hunter and an equally bullheaded dryad protector can turn into a love neither of them is willing to live without

                                                                    4 STARS

This is book #3 of the Moon series, it started a little slow for me goes a small way back to before the second book starts then quickly catches up. My biggest pet peeve of this one was the chemistry between Xan & Charlie felt a little forced for me, I mean the guys had been best friends since they were toddlers and all of a sudden once Charlie's eighteen he starts developing feelings for Xan when just weeks before he wanted some space from him. And Xan never showed any interest and was supposedly straight before HUH?

Although the mystery/action part of the story was really well written and I loved getting to the whole reason for the series, besides I got to see Noah & Zack again, though PC & Miles' story was still my favorite. It was all really well pulled together by the end. I just didn't feel the chemistry between the two MC's the same way I did with the two previous books. I am recommending because it is a good story and I did enjoy it.

                                   4.5 STARS

I have to say I had alot of fun with this story, I laughed, cried a little and just plain enjoyed this story. I had a little concern with the cross dressing but loved how that ended up enriching the story instead of turning me away from it. Mark (Sinders) and Ash are a unique twist of Cinderella and I really want a Mr. Pennymaker of my own LOL. This story has it all, fun, drama and lot's of Hot Sex! I'm gonna recommend it's a wonderful twist to a fairy tale that  I loved as a child, I gotta say I enjoyed this version a lot better.

Be There (Pushing the Envelope #8) by Kim Dare

Be There (Pushing the Envelope, #8)
In his last note, Scott offered Joe exactly the kind of scene he loves to be part of. It only seems fair that Joe take the other man on the kind of date he’d be sure to love in return.

A fancy restaurant, outfits that don’t contain any leather outside a belt and a pair of shoes, a night spent surrounded by the kind of people who might not even like seeing two men together, let alone seeing them enjoying their kinks, what could possibly go wrong?

Joe’s ordered Scott to be there. All he can do now is hope he manages to survive a night in his own idea of vanilla flavoured purgatory

                                                                         4.75 STARS

Ok I know this is book #8 but I have read #1-#7 too. And I love this series it's not very long stories and it's more a really sweet, fun, sexy love story that is broken up into parts. Scott has a crush on Joe whose a Dom, and Scott is secretly a Sub, each book takes you through what starts out as just a fun one off but develops into so much more.

I love how we get to know the two Mc's and what's going on inside their heads and hearts. The added intensity of the written invites is adorable and a great way to develop each character, we learn so much from Scott & Joe by what they ask for in these notes.

I recommend this series, and I can't wait to read what Scott & Joe learn about each other next. It's a beautiful love story that's slow building (which I love) but it also has a Dom/Sub storyline and what that means in it.

                                                                    4.75 STARS

As always Ms. Kell has captured my heart and made me sigh with joy. This adorable book goes right to the heart of  "What would you do to save the love of your life" this kinda short story lays it all out on the line.

Bart is just a plain human who lost his love Cullen when Cullen fell to his death 6 months earlier. When out to lunch he thinks he sees his dead lover and of course does the first thing any normal human would do he chases after him....smirking....I really don't want to give to much away.

I absolutely LOVED this story it has it all an exciting mystery, a challenge, Hot Sex!, and a love that transcends death. I recommend this story it's truly awesome.

Their lives are full and sometimes difficult. Will they get through the traumas and troubles of the first year and a half of their relationship? And, when they get there, what will the other side look like?

                                                               4.5 STARS

I gotta admit I liked this story, it was fast paced but I still got the story between Chris & Drew, it actually felt really real, the time limit was good not too fast not too slow. This is also the first book that I have read by this author. The only complaint was they had an intense amount of drama between the two of them was almost too much that I was wondering if they could make it, but turns out sometimes love is stronger. Its an intense story but I truly loved it maybe because the MC's reminded me of real people and their reactions to certain situations were believable.

I'm recommending this story cause I think you'll love like I did it was a shorter story but very intense and a beautiful love story.

Sometimes you can't go back home....and sometimes when you do...you never leave.

Sneak peek at book five, "Best Laid Plans".

This is the fourth book in the Assassin/Shifter stories. To fully appreciate the characters, I recommend you start with "A Marked Man" then "Alaska with Love" and finally "By the Light of the Moon"

                                                                     4.75 STARS

Out of the four Assassins/Shifters series books this one is my fav so far of course I haven't read the next one yet...pouting...it's not out yet. I absolutely love this series its fun and very romantic with a little drama added in. And thats just perfect for me, besides the sex is Scorching Hot! (and being the marvelous perv that I am I can appreciate that.)

This whole series has kept me on my toes and not able to put it down till it's finished The chemistry between Sawyer & Troy is really Hot but intense and loving too. I enjoyed the funny lines thrown in to make me laugh, it's a wonderful story where you not only learn about the MC's but are introduced to future stories and some favorite are brought back to enrich this story even more.

I recommend but seriously you need to read this whole series it truly is wonderful I'm loving it.

Five Star Review by Lara Brukz

Five Star Review
Gay romance author Cade Montgomery is so thrilled when his latest book is given an excellent review by Eric Carillo that he sends Eric a personal e-mail thanking him for the rating. Occasional e-mails become frequent, and soon Cade and Eric are talking online almost every day. Their online relationship spans a thousand miles, but that doesn't mean it's not real. Can their virtual romance survive in the real world? Because both men want to give their own romance a five star review.
                                           4.75 STARS

I gotta say I really liked this story, it's not very long but I got more outta this book than a lot that I have read lately. I mean we get to know each character through the email & texting or should I say sexting, Cade & Eric correspond for about a year and really become best friends before they even meet and we really do get to see how they become friends. They each have had some major drama in their past that they have worked through, so when they actually meet for the first time the sparks fly and their chemistry is off the charts. I recommend this book I absolutely enjoyed this book and can't wait to read  more from this author.

Mark's Opening Gambit by Lee Brazil

Mark's Opening GambitThe son of a wealthy business man, Mark Addison is an expert at chess and hiding. Mason Grant labors with his hands in a menial position; he's open about who he is and what he wants in ways that terrify Mark. Their paths shouldn't have crossed, but now that they have...

They came from different backgrounds, yet each adheres to his own version of family duty and responsibility. One would make any sacrifice for his family's well being. For Mason Grant that means leaving school at sixteen and working hard while living as a man of integrity to set an example for his brothers.

The other would sacrifice anything to keep his family life calm. If that means hiding who he really is from his high society, narrow-minded parents, then that's what Mark Addison will do. He just wants to run his shop, host a few tournaments, play a few games of chess.

When Mason meets fussy, precise chess tournament director Mark, he isn't expecting much more than a few hours of uncomfortable sleep in his car while his brother plays.

One disdainful look from Mark changes that.

                                                                      4.25 STARS

I really liked this read, it had drama, hot sex and a adorable love story, yet still had some major drama and a little heartache to boot.
Mark is a stuffy shirt but you really get why he is the way he is, the things he does to keep the peace with his family is a horrible mess and you can see why he's so stressed out. I was really glad when he finally grows a pair and decides to live his life his way, not his parents. I liked the way he really dug deep to think things through and that we get to see that in his character.

Mason I also enjoyed, I mean you don't see many kids who would help their mother raise two other sons like that, if he had been my son I would have been very proud of the man he turned out to be. I love that Mason is a strong character but had a very vulnerable side, and you see how much he ends up in love with Mark.

It's a really good story, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend.

Face Value (Sanctuary #3) by RJ Scott

Beckett doesn’t trust him, is as determined as ever to find the evidence his mother hid, and on top of all that, Kayden finds himself attracted to the determined young man.

Can they overcome their issues and eliminate the threat from the Bullen brothers

                                                                 4.5 STARS

I gotta say I really liked this book, this series has had me up & down I loved the first book, not so much the second but then again maybe thats cause I didn't get a happy ever after with that one (yet?). But with Face Value I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters, and the ensuing mystery even more there's not much sex in this one of course what was there is Hot but I mean I felt like I learned more about this series and what it's supposed to be really about.

The characters Kayden & Beckett we really get to know but we are also taught more about the other characters as well. It's chock full of mystery and intrigue, of the (hilarious wording here) alphabet government agencies, mob connections and even a senator. Like I said I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait to get the next one. I'm seriously recommending this one.

Remembering To Breathe by Lynn Hagen

Can the three work things out and find a happy life together, or will they fall apart when Jack is shot by the very man setting Liam up?

                                                 4 STARS

This is the first book by Lynn Hagen that kinda straddled the fence for me, it's a good story it just went a little fast for me. Of course the sex is HOT but I missed something in the fact that Bishop went from straight to gay so quick, without any serious soul searching, not only that but the sex didn't scare him at all.

But then we get Liam who goes through so much, I just te totally adored this character I wanted him to have his happy ending soo bad, the threesome idea was a little quick to come up but I get why and how this worked for the story. Liam's in love with them both, wants and needs them both in his life, so he's determined to find a way for that to happen.

Jack I just flat out loved his character I understood more than the other two, he would do anything not to lose Liam even go along with the idea of a threesome.  The part that through me off was the murder mystery and how that came about I kept thinking WTF? where did that come from but it worked ok anyway.

I'm recommending this story because Ms. Hagen is a brilliant writer and I adore her books, she always makes me laugh, smile or sigh in happiness.

                                                        4.25 STARS

I know I'm gonna be given shit for this one but I don't care I liked it. If you wanna read a cute story without any drama but lots and I mean lots of HOT! sex. This is the book for you, I thought it was a fun, sexy and even really sweet love story. It's a short book so I don't want to give anything away, but I'm gonna recommend this one because like I said I enjoyed this light hearted read.

Hunter's Moon (Moon #2) by M.J. O'Shea

Hunter's Moon (Moon, #2)
Miles craves adventure. Freedom from his monotonous routine; but he's started to believe that perhaps adventure isn’t in his stars—until a late night encounter makes him wonder if the creatures he creates in his stories could possibly be real.

PC is a wolf. A lycan since birth, he’s spent the first twenty-four years of his life trying to be the exact opposite of what everyone expects of him. He hunts supernatural troublemakers, hangs out with vampires, and refuses to settle down—even if his respectable parents and the stuffy lycan council want him to. One confusing night, his body responds, turning into his wolf form and hurling him into the darkness to save a stranger.

Pulled together by a physical force stronger than either can resist, PC and Miles must learn to live with each other because separation, even for just minutes, means extreme pain. Miles finds himself falling for the unpredictable lycan, his strange friends, and their nightly adventures but his reluctant lover is determined to find a way to break the bond between them.

Together, they are drawn into a mystery involving werewolves, the lycan council, bad vampires and a whole lot of dead humans. Finding the truth at the bottom of it might just be the hunt of PC's life--especially if he wants to keep Miles alive

                                                                4.75 STARS

I really really enjoyed this book, there were parts I didn't think I would like but it turns out that they worked in this story so well that, eventually I got over it. I love the chemistry between Miles & PC and how PC fights it, even though it's breaking cutey Miles' heart. When the bond accidentally gets broken I actually cried it was as though I had watched these two struggle to accept their love then felt their heart break it was intense.

The struggle with this imprinting and the added drama of the lycan, werewolves and bad vamps, is seamless and  fluent and very well written. Plus the sex scenes are HOT! The added bonus of seeing Zack & Noah from Blood Moon (first book) is awesome and we even get more of how their relationship is progressing, totally and completely loved that. The twists and turns of this story kept me reading and engrossed so much so that I couldn't put it down, I didn't want to put it down.

I'm recommending this book but if you want to get everything out of it read the first book in this series too, I'm off to read the 3rd book in this series Yes it's was that good!

Ravyn's Dance (Ravyn Warriors #4) by Jana Downs

Ravyn's Dance (Ravyn Warriors #4)Germany is the Ravyn used to being forgotten, and he likes it that way. He doesn't talk much, but when he talks, people listen. So when Germany tells his Prince that they need to convince the vampire ancient Santiago to petition the vampire Council to gain aid, everyone thinks it's a great idea. Everyone but Santiago.

Santiago is an ancient vampire used to getting his way and using his position as head of the Entertainer line to keep everyone in check. Then he meets the Ravyn, who is supposed to accompany him to the vampire Council's annual gala. Germany is a distraction he certainly doesn't need, but the Ravyn is fast becoming a distraction that he desperately wants.

In the heart of Council territory with court intrigue, danger, and a mission on the line, the two find themselves hopelessly enamored with one another. But is this newfound obsession really love? They'll have to face more than just their internal demons in order to find out.

One thing I can say for this book is the sex scenes were Sizzling. The story was really great too but damn girl this book is HOT! Honestly I really liked the storyline too it explains more of this series and what it's working up to and involved vampires whom some are just not so nice. The added addition of Jeremy was awesome, and I liked the chemistry between Germany & Santiago, I also liked the communication between the two.

It really made the story fun and exciting even on the edge of your seat exciting. the cute little kink between the two was fun also. Again the chemistry between these two pulls you into this book, they fact that they can't seem to keep their hands off each other is sexy and makes you want these two together sooo bad. I'm recommending this book and I love this series too. It has kept me in suspense and surprised me in every book so far. LOVE IT!

Twinsational (The Men's Room Series, #1) by Jeff Erno

Twinsational (The Men's Room Series, #1)
Tommy Cooper has just turned 21 and is getting his first exposure to the gay club scene when he meets Darren Maguire, a go-go dancer. Not only is Darren about the hottest guy that Tommy has ever seen, but he also has an identical twin brother named Michael who is also a dancer

Things quickly heat up for Tommy and Darren, but Michael doesn’t exactly approve. Michael is more serious and wishes his brother Darren would focus more on his education. When Michael meets the man of his dreams, however, he begins to understand the power of romance

Each of the twins becomes embroiled in relationships which are sure to affect their future, but in the party environment of a dance club, can any such relationship last? And what of the parade of hot guys that constantly come in and out of their lives? Only time will tell if Tommy has actually met the man of his dreams or if he’s simply allowed himself to be swept up by a passing sensation.

I gotta be honest I just didn't like this book, simply because one twin was nice the other an asshole. It just didn't sit well with me though it was probably closer to the truth I didn't like Darren using Tommy and then to find out that Michael is the one to apologize for him just flat out ticked me off. The twins in this book come across as gold diggers and users and poor Tommy came across as clueless and insecure. So sorry I gotta say I did not like this book. I'm not recommending I thought I'd get a love story, got plenty of sex but not what I was expecting.
