                                                                     4.25 STARS

I read an excerpt for this story a couple weeks back and decided I had to read it. I'm glad I did, it was such an interesting take on the Dom/Sub scene that I was fascinated from the start, the Dom's are vampires and the subs are human. Remsen inherits Boy from another Dom when said Dom is killed, so Remsen now has a sub which he's never kept one for long before and then finds out that Boy is not only his new sub but also his mate. These two go on the run from the same people who killed Boy's former master, and fall in love on the way.

I felt that this story while it is a mate story was more world building and action packed than building a relationship, it's an exciting story that kept me on my toes and surprised me with who the bad guy was it's also Sexy as Hell too. I recommend

Texas Heat (Texas #3) by R.J. Scott

Texas Heat (Texas, #3)
Riley and Jack Campbell-Hayes are in a good place. Jack is expanding the DD and training quarter horses, Riley is so close to his first ethical based contract that he can almost taste it and Hayley is nearly ten and happy as all out.

Jack hires Robbie, a man recovering from a great loss, to be his right hand man. Meanwhile Riley's mischievous photographer friend, Eli, decides the DD is the perfect backdrop for a cowboy themed model shoot. Eli has secrets not even Riley knows about but despite what he is hiding he falls in lust with Robbie at first sight. Everyone except Robbie can see how perfect Eli would be for him.

What happens when secrets spill and lies are discovered? And just how far will Riley and Jack go to play matchmaker?

Against the backdrop of twenty half naked models on DD land, and in the midst of fighting the oil establishment that just won't give Riley a chance, Texas Heat is the story of one hot summer in Texas with a Gay Rodeo, humor, angst and a love between two men that just grows stronger every day.

                                                                        5 STARS

Is it bad that I loved this book more for the fact that it's mostly about Riley & Jack with a side couple thrown in? I had put off reading it thinking we'd only get a little bit of the hottest couple ever so I was really happy to be wrong. Jack & Riley have to be one of my absolute top favorite couples, their story is fascinating, incredibly well written, on top of being Hot as Hell. Texas Heat was such a well rounded story there's action, drama, ROFL moments and an intense beautiful love story that I wouldn't mind reading more about. Plus we get an additional couple to root for, though Robbie and Eli had their own individual issues to work through I felt that the main story was about Jack & Riley and how their lives have changed being together. I will say I adored this story, and this series is another comfort read of mine, it's just so intense but beautiful that I can't help but smile when I do. I Highly Recommend but I really think if you haven't read this series please do it's a really wonderful story.

Point of No Return by N.R. Walker

Point of No Return
Matthew Elliot is one of LA's best detectives. He's been labelled the golden boy of the Fab Four; a team of four detectives who've closed down drug-rings all over the city. He’s smart, tough and exceptionally good at his job.

He's also a closeted gay man.

Enter Kira Takeo Franco, the new boxing coach at the gym. Matthew can't deny his immediate attraction to the man his fellow cops know as Frankie. But in allowing himself to fall in love with a man known to his colleagues, Matthew risks outing them both. Matt and Kira work to keep their relationship and private lives hidden from Matt's very public life, fearing it would be detrimental to their careers.

But it's not the other cops who Matthew should be worried about finding out his deepest, darkest secret... it's the bad guys.

                                                           5 STARS

This is my first NR Walker book, which I saw on rarelydustybooks blog that she put on her gotta read list, read the blurb and liked what I read decided to buy it and Damn I'm glad. I loved this story there's drama, some laughs, major action and some really really Hot sex! The  story is told from Matthew's POV and he explains what it's like to be a gay in the closet Detective, he's even afraid to tell his partner whose also his best friend. It's kinda easy for him to stay in the closet until he meets his new boxing trainer at the gym, then sparks fly and all hell breaks loose. LOL I enjoyed the conflicts, and the falling in love between Matt & Kira (I loved the play on the name) There's also the bad guys that Matt and his team are trying to catch if they don't get to Matt first. The mystery and trying to figure it out was intriguing and kept me bouncing in my seat till the end, the consequences of going after the bad guys caught me by surprise but in a really good way. This is simply a great story it had everything that I really enjoyed all wrapped up in this fun, exciting romantic love story. I Highly Recommend

Yours Faithfully (Pushing the Envelope #12) by Kim Dare

Yours Faithfully (Pushing the Envelope, #12)
Joe told Scott to expect a letter from him, and it wasn’t an easy one to write. Joe’s also sure that it won’t be a simple letter to receive either. He’ll be asking a lot from Scott.

Will Scott be able to follow the orders this time? Will he be able to accept the challenge? Joe doesn’t know. It could go either way. All he can do now is hope like hell that their chance of a happily-ever-after hasn’t been lost forever...

                                                           4.75 STARS

This series I love but also it drives me crazy too, see I truly love these two characters Joe & Scott have wormed their way into my heart and I really really want them to have their HEA. So what makes me crazy is I gotta wait for another month or so for the next installment ARGH! I know I'm too impatient but I just love this story the intense emotions that I feel when I read this series is amazing. They are short stories so that really explains my impatientness (is that even a word?) but there is so much told in each story that it doesn't feel like a short story more like a soap opera where you have to wait till the next day or so for whats gonna happen next. I have to say I'm always extremely happy with each story and the fact that we get to know Joe & Scott's characters, their fears and hopes. I can't wait (literally) to read the next one I recommend

Back to Hell by Amber Kell

Back to Hell (Hellbourne, #4)
Even the devil needs a little help sometimes, but for Luc, going back to hell to make things right could end up breaking him...

Luc’s life is finally starting to settle down. His wolf shifter lover is back in his bed and his father is no longer ruling hell...or Luc's life.

Unfortunately, his happiness is only an illusion. Nikko, his vampire soul mate, is starving to death, Luc's psychotic brother is taking over hell, and the balance of good and evil all depends on Luc to set things straight.

The archangel Michael tells Luc he needs to go back to hell to correct the problems he caused, but Luc refuses. However, some people still think Luc is a contender to be the demon lord. When his brother kidnaps Bran, Luc has to show the underworld why you don’t mess with the devil’s son.

                                                          4.75 STARS

I got this early by buying from Total-ebound.com, so I hope it's ok that I'm reviewing this book. Either way it's fucking AWESOME but I will warn you that if you haven't read Hellbourne you need to first. The first book was my first Amber Kell book I read and the first to make me an absolute fan-girl, I loved the complexities and the definitions in this new world she made and of course who can complain about all the extremely HOT sex? Not me!

Anyway this story is a continuation of the first book (which I believe is actually 3 books in one) so Luc is back with Bran his werewolf mate and happy but missing his other mate the vampire Nikko since Bran & Nikko hate each other. Yes you really need to read the first one, so things are going okay when Luc's uncle (o_0) the Archangel Michael needs him to free his dad Lucifer. I swear ninety percent of this story I was either laughing my ass off with the wonderful Ms. Kell's sarcasm or wanting to take a cold shower with all the scorching sex. There's action and some exciting nail biting moments but the fore front story is the ongoing struggle for Luc on keeping both his mates with him without them killing each other.

This sequel ROCKED and I personally would love to read more of this fun intense relationship and their secondary characters too. I Highly Recommend.

                                                                   4.75 STARS

Yes! We get Riley's story and I don't hate him in this one, I actually get why he acted the way he did in the first book to this series now.
I have to say my favorite thing about Rileys story was that his feeling for Lane did not automatically disappear when he and Conner get together there's still some struggle with it and even Gresh comments on it. I have to say I was even more fascinated with this series after reading this book. While Conner is struggling with his own issues (finding Eric) he is also falling in love with Riley, and that comes with it's own set of issues. Like when Lane falls asleep in Riley's bed holy shit that was intense, but funny too because it's innocent just hard to explain. I'm liking the intensity of this series, with the chemistry between so many different characters it feels like a tv show that I would watch every week. LOL I can't wait to read the next book which isn't out yet or I would have bought it already. Besides sexy cowboys, doctors and rangers, the storyline is exciting and of course the sex is Hot as Hell! I Highly recommend but you gotta read Texas Rough to get the most outta this story but I think you'll enjoy it I know I did.

                                                                   5 STARS

I love to read a romantic epic love story, this is that story for me. I have read a lot of mate/shifter stories but none as intense and beautiful as this one. First of all it's written by Cardeno C so I knew it would have that wonderful romantic feel to it that I love reading in this authors books second it's a really different take on the whole shifter mating plot line. Third it's more drama involved in this story than in previous books by Cardeno C, but just as intense and emotional.

Zev is an alpha wolf whose mate is not only human but a guy too, and of course that's not acceptable in his pack. This story does have lots and lots of flashbacks to where these two were younger and how their friendship and later their relationship develops which explains each of their characters and why the act the way they do. The ensuing stress of not only keeping Jonah a secret but keeping Jonah from finding out Zev is a werewolf makes for an interesting story that has some severe consequences that Zev & Jonah fight to survive. I liked both MC's in this story and understood where each was coming from easily, the story world is well written to where it felt real and this love story even with its major issues was movie epic.

I so hope to read more to this series, I seriously enjoyed reading it. Through tears, laughter and lot's of sighs this book was awesome, I Highly Recommend.

Texas Rough is the first book in Sara York’s Texas series. Texas Hard and Texas Twist are next in line. Get ready to get your cowboy on and go for a rough ride

                                                                           4.75 STARS

Maybe I'm just a sucker for a cowboy, but I loved this book and at .99cents you get a steal. I'm trying to think of what I liked best about this story I mean the characters are great I got into each character easily and understood where each was coming from, I enjoyed the secondary characters also. The story line had a little drama and some angst but the sex is off the charts Hot and yesss!!! it's a series or trilogy. What more can you ask for? Not a lot this story just works for me Lane & Gresh each have major issues and faults but they also have some intense chemistry that you can feel jump right off the pages.

I got any questions that I may have had answered, and their issues explained very well also. I will say that I didn't like Riley there are times in this story that he just creeps me the hell out but I think the second book is his story so I'll hold judgement for now.It was a really good start to this series (trilogy) and I have already bought the second book which I'll give my opinion on soon. I think you'll enjoy this book I know I did, I Highly Recommend.

Strengthened By Fire (By Fire #2) by Andrew Grey

Strengthened By Fire
Sequel to Redemption by Fire

Lee Staunton and Dirk Krause have been seeing each other for a couple of months when they get the bad news: the firehouse they work at will be closed unless they can come up with the money to complete some maintenance and repairs. The union wants to stand and fight. There’s just one problem: the only suggestion for how to raise the money is Lee’s. And Dirk hates it.

Unfortunately, everyone else thinks Lee’s “Chicken and Beefcake” dinner—which they’ll attend in just their hats, boots, and fire pants—is a great idea, and Lee goes ahead with the organizing. But interference from the borough council and low ticket sales threaten to rain on Lee’s parade. If Dirk can’t put aside his pride and stubborn nature for one night, it could cost both him and Lee their jobs—never mind their relationship.

                                                            4.5 STARS

The first book to this series captured my attention and I enjoyed it immensely so I was excited to get another story for this Hot as Hell couple. It didn't disappoint either, Lee & Dirk have such a fun but intense relationship that you can almost feel their emotions coming off the pages. To say that this intense love story makes me extremely happy is like saying I only like coffee, not that I have to have a Starbucks IV every morning to survive. LOL It makes me want to read more of this awesome couple, the issues that both have to work through like dealing with Dirk's fanatical dad, to watching how much they touch at work, to still trying to get used to being in a relationship, this couple does it for me. Lee's idea of a beekcake dinner made me want to buy tickets LOL, but damn both of them there and I'd want to bring all my friends too. I enjoyed this story simple as that, it's fun, beautiful and sexy as hell I highly recommend.

But My Boyfriend Is (Florida Books #4) by K.A. Mitchell

But My Boyfriend Is (Florida Books, #4)
The most dangerous lies are the ones you tell yourself.

Dylan Williams is not gay. Sometimes he gets off with other guys, but so what? He plans to get married someday—really married, like with a wife and kids. And he’s determined that his future family’s life will be the normal one he and his brothers never had.

Mike Aurietta is gay, but his job keeps him in the closet. He doesn’t usually risk frequenting infamous cruising places like Webber Park. But when he’s cutting through one night, he finds himself defending a victim from gay bashers.

It’s all Dylan can do to process the shock that anyone would want to hurt his quiet twin brother. At first he needs Mike’s eyewitness report to satisfy the gut-wrenching desire for revenge. Then he finds himself needing Mike’s solid, comforting presence…and the heat that unexpectedly flares between them.

In the aftermath, Mike quickly learns not to expect too much from his conflicted lover. Though he never thought his good deed would come back to bite him in the ass. Or that hanging on to the possibility of love could force too many secrets out of the closet—and cost them both everything.

                      3.5 STARS

I have to say this is one of the hardest reviews I have had to write, while I am a big fan of KA Mitchell books, I didn't love this one. I felt it had a darker tone to it than the previous books I have read by her. Although there are great moments in this story, Dylan just never grew on me, the more I read of him the more I didn't like (yes that is very unusual). Maybe it was that I never really got into their characters either one Mike or Dylan and felt left with alot of questions that remained unanswered for me. I had pre-ordered this story because dammit it was a KA Mitchell book how could I not? And even though the relationship between the two MC's didn't work for me, there are redeeming points in it like Aaron & Joey I love, love, love this couple and they (especially Joey) bring a lighter tone to the angst within this story also so insight to Dylans character too. Mike saving Dare from a bashing leads Dylan whose Dare's twin to meeting Mike, but from there I couldn't feel any chemistry, maybe it was because Dylans so angry all the time it feels like he's just using Mike, so I struggled seeing there relationship as anything more than fuck buddies. And though this couple didn't work for me I will recommend because dammit it's a KA Mitchell book and it's still not to be missed.

                                                                     3,75 STARS

I really liked the characters of this story but I have to say Trey stole the book for me, in most series I have one character that just sticks with me and is always fore front in my mind when reading a book in said series. Trey is it for me in this one but it's really about Derry who goes through hell because his brother is an asshole who takes his anger out on poor Derry. It was nice to see that at first Fallon was a jerk then became extremely protective of Derry that they developed a relationship from there. It's a cute love  short story with some darker tones but works well for this couple. I recommend

                                                                      4 STARS

I went looking for this book because I love reading Amber Kell books and she's damn good at entertaining me with her stories. I have found a few different places recently to purchase books and if your a newbie to blogging like me you know that it's not as easy if you don't know anybody on the web, I love to have books, authors and places to purchase said books from referred to me. That's how I decided to do this I went looking for reviews of books and ran across I believe it was rarelydustybooks and she had a review for Icing on the Cake by Shayla Kersten which was my first m/m book I read. I fell in love with the genre right then and have almost 1500 m/m books on my kindle archive as of now. I love finding new authors or new books so please feel free to refer them to me.

Alright now back to my review sorry I tend to go on random rants it's that damn ADOS..attention deficient ohhh shiny syndrome....I know there I went again. Ok I enjoyed this BDSM book mainly because it's the Dom that's pursued by the Sub, and Stephen couldn't have picked a better Dom to go after. As Victor doesn't keep a sub for long Stephen decides to send Victor very well thought out gifts which peaks Victors interest and finally brings these two together. It's an interesting story that also has fascinating secondary characters, I've already bought the second book to this series but I have complete faith in Ms. Kell's ability to make me want to read more. Mickey's Duke (The Wilgrin Chronicles 01) by Vicktor Alexander

Mickey's Duke (The Wilgrin Chronicles, #1)
When Michael "Mickey" Monroe arrived on the planet Wilgrin, after escaping his home of Rodeiro, his only plan had been to make just enough money to get enough fuel to fly to another planet. One where no one knew him, where he could fade into the background. Where he didn't have to worry about someone trying to beat him up at every turn.

However, working in the restaurant known as Durac, Mickey comes in contact with Carl Cavendish and realizes that no matter where he goes, someone is going to want to beat the shit out of him. Making a run for it, Mickey comes face to face with one of the most gorgeous carriages that he's ever seen, with a real live duke inside. Accepting the stranger's offer of help, Mickey soon finds himself naked and in the arms of Evander Cavendish, the gorgeous father of Carl Cavendish.

Before Mickey can blink he's married and dealing with a stepson that would rather see him dead than at the dining room table, a husband who only seems to want him for his body, and a secret that he doesn't know how to reveal to his new family, but one that he only has about nine months to share before it makes an appearance all on its own.

                                                                        3.75 STARS

I had a hard time rating this story, while I really liked Mickey & Evander, their relationship is well thought out and written to where it doesn't feel like it's a fast relationship even though it is. I mean we get to know the characters but its mostly after they get married not before and it's a fun relationship I mean who doesn't want a knight on a white horse (in this case it's a carriage) to come to their rescue right? Then having sex right there in said carriage yet it's made to feel kinda fun and sexy which it does. I liked that Mickey didn't tell Evander his secret yet and that Evander isn't perfect either, that kept this story fun and exciting, what I didn't like was Carl and how easily he can fool his dad Evander. And I will say Evander pissed me off by not listening to Mickey about Carls abuse and the fact that Mickey was scared of him. So I wasn't to happy about how that was resolved but I still liked the relationship with these two it was fun and sexy as hell. I felt this was a fun read that for the most part I highly enjoyed. I recommend

The Square Peg by Jane Davitt, Alexa Snow

The Square Peg
Benedict, a successful accountant, who's just been dumped for being boring, is surprised and pleased to learn that he's inherited half ownership in a gay bar from his estranged father, seeing it as a chance to get out of his rut. When a late-night confrontation turns into the hottest sex either of them has experienced, they realize there's one way to fit a square peg into a round hole, but are they solving problems or papering over the cracks? As they explore the new dynamic between them, pushing their limits until Ben's shocked at where his desire to dominate Shane takes him, the renovations to the bar begin. They're building something new, something good -- but fear and an unexpected act of violence may tear down what they've created.

                                                        4 STARS

I bought this book because the blurb caught my attention, it's a really good story, funny, sexy and a very little drama. It's mostly about Benedict & Shane trying to figure out their relationship and what they both want out of it. Benedict is also trying to change the perception of himself after a nasty breakup. The part that caught me in this story is the fact that Shane is normally an in charge kinda guy, but submits to Benedict during sex, while Benedict is usually a very passive guy becomes extremely dominate in his relationship with Shane. The way their relationship is written was intriguing to me their reversal of roles in this book just fascinated me, and it's done so well that I didn't feel like I was reading two different couples they stayed true to their characters just expanded them in the bedroom (or office or ladies room or on the pool table) ok you get my drift right? The sex is intense but very Hot as well, I would have rated this higher but the plot kinda feel apart for me, this story is really more about this couple and the "action" part just didn't work for me. But I really enjoyed even the secondary characters and hope to get Justin's story soon his ending in this one sounded fascinating so I truly hope to read his story soon. I recommend

Golden (Bedtime Stories #1) by Joyee Flynn

Golden
When the man Golden grew up loving as his father sells him into slavery after his mother’s tragic death, the sheltered Golden must leave all he knows and travel to the dark Withering Woods.

Boris, the oldest of the three bear shifter brothers who bought Golden, makes him want to escape every time he opens his mouth. Boone’s gentle companionship is a welcome relief from Boris’s roughness, but Bash, the youngest, wants nothing to do with him, which might not be such a bad thing considering Boris and Boone want Golden every second… On his back.

Boone seems to be just right, but can Golden fall in love with a man who owns him? If he could, would Boris stay away from Golden’s bed… And would Golden want him to?

                                                                     3.5 STARS

Golden is a take off of Goldilocks & the Three Bears, but in male form and not for kids LOL. I liked this story it had an interesting twist with the three brothers there's also no incest or touching by the brothers to each other only to Golden. One thing I didn't really ever warm to Boris I mainly just wanted to kick his ass the entire story, Boone's the sweetheart and Bash is a surprise and Golden I just wanted to help him have a better life. It's also not a shifter story more about the bears being cursed and wanting to break said curse. It's a fun story not really indepth emotionally but a really neat bedtime story, that I enjoyed. I recommend

Indulging Ivan (The Whole A-Z #5) by Kim Dare

Indulging Ivan (The Whole A-Z, #5)

Still, when Ivan edges toward coming out of the closet, Langdon quickly finds himself getting roped into indulging the younger man’s curiosity.

Cute and smart in equal measure, Ivan’s used to getting his own way. When he sets his sights on Langdon, he’s not above being sneaky when it comes to getting his attention or overcoming any resistance the other man might have to the idea of doing whatever he wants.

Ivan’s been indulged by almost everyone in his life for as long as he can remember. Will Langdon be just another name on that list of people who rush to do his bidding? More to the point, is that what Ivan really wants, or would he much prefer to be the one subject to another man’s whims?

                                                    3 STARS

This story was a great bedtime read, kinda short but still easy to get into without heavy drama but lots of Hot sex. I won't say to much about it because  it is a short story but I enjoyed it and I recommend

I'm also thinking about talking about some of my favorite series or comfort reads. Leave a comment and let me know what you think?

Deep Blues Goodbye (Altered States, Book 1) by Laura Harner & T.A. Webb

Deep Blues Goodbye (Altered States, Book 1)
The world might not have been ready for vampires when NOPD Detective Travis Boudreaux had the bad taste to sit up at his own funeral, but two years later, the new cause célèbre is civil rights for preternatural beings and most humans are on the bandwagon. Except whoever was killing vampires and wannabes.

Detective Sam Garrett hates all things preternatural. Having your undead partner try to make you his first meal will do that to you. Adding insult to the old injury, Sam has been banished to the Paranormal Criminal Investigations Unit—the Odd Squad—Black gay dude gets an object lesson in tolerance.

Now it’s up to Detective Danny Burkette to work with Garrett by day and Boudreaux by night as they follow a trail that leads from the historic cemeteries of New Orleans to the bayous of southern Louisiana, under the all-to-interested gaze of a master vampire and the local pack Alpha. Some lessons in life—and death—are hard to come by…and not all second chances are created equal.

                                                                        5+ STARS

I gotta say I frickin' LOVE this series, I mean the first book in this series Altered States was awesome I loved the characters, we got to know them  and fall in love with them in it. Besides the ending in the first Rocked! So I was really looking forward to this book. I was not disappointed Deep Blues Goodbye was awesome, I love adding Danny into the mix and the Alpha there's just too much in this book that I loved. Everything from the Action story line to the Hot romance, to learning about each individual character and what motivates them.

It's funny as hell but intense and sexy and just Awesome. And dammit to hell all, I'm left with another frickin'  cliffhanger ARGH!!!! It's a good ARGH but still ARGH!! LOL! I love to read a story that not only gets me excited and intrigues me but also makes me want to learn more about the characters, I wanted to see what happened next soo much that I was literally bouncing in my seat as I was reading. And I can't say which character is my favorite because I became invested in each one, I can't even say who I want each guy to end up with (of course that saying if thats the way this series is going I really can't tell yet) I'm just saying I was very entertained and I wanna read more please, pretty please, even more with this story than the first.

So if you wanna be excited and intrigued here's your series...read Altered States first because it's fascinating and smoothly goes from a crime drama to paranormal without missing any steps. And Deep Blues Goodbye is even more fascinating. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Possession Pointe (Combined Edition) by Leigh Jarrett

Possession Pointe (Combined Edition)
(Combined Edition - Possession Pointe and Possession Pointe 2)

Marc Tucker and Adam O'Neill typically wouldn't have crossed paths due to their vastly different career choices. Marc has been playing professional football for the past two years, straight out of college, while Adam has been honing his craft since he was nine years old; when his mother bought him his first pair of ballet shoes.

Mandatory training for the offensive players on Marc's team finds him in a ballet studio for the very first time in his life. The coach has told them it will improve their flexibility and agility, but Marc isn't the least bit impressed with the idea until he catches sight of their new ballet master. Adam's beautiful lines and lean muscular presence have Marc's body warming up in all the right places, but has Marc made a seriously misplaced assumption about Adam's potential interest in him?

                                                               1.5 STARS
I truly just didn't like this story, first of  the characters meet very quickly I mean Marc meets Adam in class and asks him out right after, wouldn't sound so bad right? but Adam swears his straight even though he agrees to go hangout anyway WTF? Then we get Adam who even though he wants Marc touching him fights it for the most part. Then we get Adam to finally admit his feelings only to have sweet patient Marc freakout and run off another WTF? moment. Add in very religious conservative nuts for Adam's parents, a sweet child that ends up trapped in the middle and Adam not being able to make a decision  and I felt this story was total chaos and not in a good way it took all I could muster up to actually finish this book. Sorry I won't recommend

                                                                      5++ STARS

There are only two series that I have read that are more than two books so far that I would rate every book a 5 star, this is one of those it's also my comfort read, any books in this series I can go to when I'm feeling lost in myself and it settles me. Yeah even though most of this series is a high action packed thrill ride, there is just something about these two characters that bring me peace.

Now onto Stars & Stripes this story isn't as high packed action (although there is enough in it to have my biting my nails) but we get such an amazing insight into Ty & Zane that I never felt it was missing or anything. There's still a mystery but this time it involves both of their families as each decides to come out to their families.
And I gotta say I laughed so much in Stars & Stripes that I had to immediately read it again.

There's no way I can say which character is my favorite in book #6 because I love the way each one has evolved. Ty's family when he comes out is fucking hilarious and I loved every minute of that part of this story, especially grandpa LOL. And I would love to get to read more about Ty & his family, they were fascinating in their reactions and they are such a loving family. But they're also so good to Zane in accepting him, and making him feel welcomed to their family.

Zane in his emergency having to go home to Texas was more action packed and here lies the mystery/case but it was also fascinating watching the differences in the way Ty & Zane each react to their families. Zane's coming out is a lot different and the reactions are a lot different I will say his mother's a bitch plain & simple but his dad and sister are awesome. I liked that Ty showed up right when Zane needed him. I gotta say this mystery/case was fun but still exciting as hell, I mean fricking Bengal tiger's WTF? and only Ty could get mixed up in all that LOL you gotta read it I loved every moment in this story and honestly it has become my favorite in this series so far. I can't wait to see what's next for these two I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Sin & Seduction by Allison Cassatta

Sin & Seduction
Dorian Grant is king of the New Orleans underworld, but he isn’t mafia and doesn’t appreciate the assumption. He’s simply a crude businessman anyone in his right mind would think twice about screwing over. Life in the Big Easy is all about sin, and violent, short-tempered Dorian has committed them all.

But not all New Orleans sins leave a bad taste in the mouth, as Dorian discovers the night a man stage-named Sweet Heat dances into his life at a club called Sin and Seduction. Dorian was expecting a hot lay. He damn sure wasn’t looking for a relationship, and certainly not with someone like Jansen, who turns Dorian’s grimly organized world upside down.

Now Dorian finds himself pressuring Jansen to quit his job because he can’t stand the thought of other men touching what’s his. Of course, Jansen wants a little quid pro quo—after all, Dorian’s job is dangerous. Jansen just doesn’t realize how dangerous until it’s too late.

                                                                      4.5 STARS
This was one of the hardest books I have ever read to rate, Why? Have you every watched a tv show that you knew was violent & bloody and the one of the main characters would never really be the great hero type but always more of the bad boy who does things that you should never overlook but you find yourself routing for him anyway? But you just can't stop watching. This is that story for me Dorian is a mob boss kinda guy and he does some really horrific things even after meeting Jansen who even though he's a stripper is the sweetest character you just can't help but love him.

I don't like to give a lot away but it's really hard with a story like this. It's emotional and I mean intense emotions you will cry, there were times I wanted to smack both MC's especially Dorian but even Jansen for going back to him again. It's not a sweet love story it's intense and angsty and violent and I swear I couldn't put it down. I tried I swear I did just to turn around and pick it back up We get a lot of insight into each of their pasts and what makes them the way they are, which doesn't excuse their behavior but more explains it. I'm gonna warn you this story is not for the faint of heart it's heartwrenching, it's intense and will wring emotions out of you but it's also fascinating and well written, that you can't help but want a HEA for Dorian & Jansen. I highly recommend but please be prepared it's very intense.

Fan-Tastical by Stephani Hecht:

Everybody knows the best lovers are geeks.

It’s time again for the annual Comic Book and Horror Convention. Normally, Deke liked to avoid these things. While he may be a well-known actor, he wasn’t hunky or a beefcake and he was always overlooked. In fact, most people like to call him ‘the geek of geeks’. But, the producers of his popular TV series don’t care and they order Deke to go. So, while he knows he won’t have any fun, he has no choice but to attend.

Blake harboured a crush on Deke even before the other man became famous. When he finds out that Deke will be at the convention, Blake knows he has to attend as well. Since he is trying to promote his own comic, Blake decides that he can mix a little business with his fun.

To Blake’s dismay, not only does Deke not remember him, but the actor refuses to believe that Blake could have any romantic feelings for a geek. Blake decides that he can’t let this opportunity slip through his fingers, though. He may have given up on Deke all those years ago, but not this time. Will Blake be able to convince Deke to give him a chance? Or will the final credits roll before they find love?

Rough Awakening by Devon Rhodes:

When Mario sets out to find a roommate for the convention, little does he know he’ll end up finding much more.

Is there anything worse than learning you have to share a hotel room with your ex-boyfriend and his new love? Mario has to scramble to find someone else to share with and ends up reconnecting with a sexy acquaintance…in more ways than one.

Jordan remembers Mario from two conventions ago and goes along with his need to find a roommate. Sparks fly between them from their first phone call and everything looks more than promising for a very memorable convention.

But when two tops tango, which one is guaranteed the lead? It ends up being a rough awakening for one of these alpha athletes…

                                                          4 STARS
I enjoyed this anthology some of my favorite authors are in it and for the most part every story worked for me. There were a couple that were excellent, a couple that were really good and a couple that were okay. But as I said for the most part this was an enjoyable anthology that had Hot sex, a lot of fun and was a great bedtime read for me. I recommend

                                                                   4.5 STARS

Now this is an example of the differences in each and every book an author writes, the first book I read from this author was not my favorite and I didn't enjoy it very much but that didn't keep me from enjoying this one by the same author. I truly loved this book the only reason I didn't rate it higher was because it's a short story, I would love more of this interesting and exciting couple Kage & Zach had intense chemistry in a short amount of time. It's a fast love story that is Hot as Hell but it worked so well that I really do want more of this couple so Ms. McKenna please I want more LOL
I highly recommend if you want a hot story that brings an exciting and fun couple together here it is.

Controlling Interest by Camden Tate

Controlling Interest
Love is for other people.

That's Tag Stetson's opinion anyway. Twenty five, rigorously single and very gay he's thrown himself into private work as an electrical engineer at the expense of everything else. He has no friends, no family, not even a cat to call his own. Another man might be lonely, but Tag is working at the very edge of his field and entirely consumed by his work.

It is that work that leads him to cross paths with Nicholas McKenna, CEO of MCK and one of the most powerful men in the industry. Tag hopes to sell his latest invention to MCK and hopefully make a tidy profit, but he gets far more than he bargained for when he pitches his product.

Older, wiser, handsome with a little gray around the edges, Nicholas has the experience to see not only the value of Tag's invention, but its inventor too. Nicholas is a man used to claiming all that he desires, and getting everything he wants, but Tag's unexpectedly strong independent streak throws a spanner in the works.

What ensues is a pursuit both professional and personal as Nicholas seeks to make Tag his own – whether Tag likes it or not.

                                                               1 STAR

I don't really like reviewing books that I personally don't like but that's also why I decided to do this. I like hearing what others think of a book good or bad and yeah it does make a difference on whether I will want to read it or not, since I spend money on my books I want to feel like I made a good investment. And to be honest I was extremely disappointed in this book. The storyline seemed interesting at first I mean Tag is an inventor/physicist of sorts and he approaches Nicholas CEO of MCK to sell his product thats where the interesting storyline ends plain and simple. Nicholas becomes a weird dictator type of guy and after the first meeting with Tag I felt he was a bad guy not one half of a couple. A Tag feels more like he has Stockholm Syndrome, like he sort of gives up because he has no other choice. I truly couldn't like Nicholas there was no redeeming qualities in his character, and it's rare for me to almost hate a character even a villain so imagine my surprise when it's supposed to be main MC. I felt cheated with this story it's not even truthfully what the blurb promises I won't recommend I truly can't in good faith this book was a huge disappointment for me.

Man in the Middle (Wolf Creek Pack #9) by Stormy Glenn

Man in the Middle (Wolf Creek Pack, #9)
Chase Morgan has known for some time that Taylor and Justin are his mates. He just can't claim them. It would put their lives in jeopardy, and Chase would do anything to keep them safe, even deny the bond between them.

If it's not assassins bent on destroying them out of revenge, it's discovering that there may be more to Justin than just his pretty face. If they each can get over their fears of commitment then they might actually have a chance at a life together, assuming they don't die first

                                                       4.75 STARS

Man in the Middle is book 9 in the Wolf Creek series, and features Chase, Justin & Taylor. These three have such an interesting story and surprised me again & again, the twists and turns in not only the relationship part but in the continuing storyline as well. The three MC's have a fun sweet chemistry, but are also Hot as Hell too.

Justin's character is a diabetic who Chase and the others from Wolf Creek had rescued in previous books, and Justin's boyfriend Taylor which they find out are both Chase' mates. Now Chase for some really serious reasons won't claim his mates but also doesn't tell them why either which creates conflict and makes Justin run away thinking it's because he's  diabetic instead.

Now thats where the story get's fun Taylor and Chase are looking for Justin. This story had many exciting twists & turns in it and kept me fascinated through out the whole book and it works very well as a menage, I enjoyed the conflicts and the even the jealousy that needed to be worked through. I recommend but reading the whole series I think you would enjoy this story even more.

Actually by Mia Watts

Actually
Law student, Aaron Hedlund, is on the cusp of a new career with a cute boyfriend. Life is easy and perfect, until he gets a call that shatters his plans.

When Ian Mitchell discovers that his sexy former student, Aaron, is back in town, he’s relieved to know that someone will help Aaron’s little brother recover from the death of their parents. But as Aaron struggles to keep the family together, Ian finds that getting close enough to help may be more temptation than he can handle.

And the biggest challenge of all is showing Aaron that fixing shattered plans can become a blessing, actually.

                                                         3.75 STARS

This was a very emotional but sweet story and very different than  what I am used to reading by Ms. Watts. Aaron gets a lot on his plate when he gets a phone call that his parents were killed in a car wreck and he needs to come home and take care of his younger brother. So not only does he put his career dreams on hold but also his maybe love life and runs back home. And between his brother getting into trouble, Aaron working two jobs plus trying to finish law school online life is starting to take its toll. Then in walks Ian a former teacher and also his brothers teacher too, my favorite part in this whole story is Ian wanting to take care of Aaron. As they work through the many troubles of Aaron and his brother's issues, Aaron and Ian get to know one another and develop a relationship.

It a highly emotional story but not enough that I didn't really enjoy it, but it was still a very sweet and loving story. I recommend

Working Stiffs (Deadzone #1) by Jana Downs

Working Stiffs (Deadzone #1)
After the collapse of civilization, Ager Munez finds work as an agent, helping customers with their zombie insurance needs. He’s a bit of a workaholic and a romantic at heart, but the only romance he’s been experiencing lately involves watching his bosses in tight-fitting jeans on casual Fridays.

Jim and Jason Tanner agree they want a third in their relationship, but have never been able to find the right man. When Ager begins working at Deadzone, they know that they’ve found their match. He’s smart, funny, and adorable in a way that should be illegal in at least four sectors.

When a zombie outbreak in Sector 7 requires field representatives, the two know the perfect candidate for the job. Little does Ager know that this mission will test him in ways he’s never been tested and land him not one but two hot men in his bed and his heart.

                                                                    4.25 STARS

This being my first zombie story I gotta say I was a little freaked out on those damn creepy zombie LOL Although I liked the story and LOVED the characters like I said those damn zombies freaked my ass out. I even had a dream about them....shivers...of course I got over it and enjoyed this interesting series anyway in part because I felt that Ms. Downs wrote a hell of a story, and part because I fell for all three MC's.

Jim & Jason are a married couple with a grown son that have been together for 20yrs they're looking for a third not to fix anything in their relationship but just because that's how they both feel they want to expand their love we'll say. Ager works for Deadzone which is owned by Jim & Jason, I loved how there wasn't any of the jealousy or strife and we could focus on them building a relationship. Throw in running from zombies and a surprise that I didn't see coming and your in for a wild ride. I hope we get Brooklyn's story soon and maybe Jack's too. I recommend

                                                                              4 STARS

This story was cute and funny, and DAMN the sex scenes were HOT! I enjoyed the characters especially Liam I mean he's been through so much, its amazing he survived. With the help of his best friend whom Liam thinks died he escapes his psycho grandparents and goes on the run. He's on the run for yrs when his mate Griffin whose been searching for him finally finds him But there's still some crazy drama and they have to go rescue Cale, Liam's best friend from his nutty grandmother since Griffin killed his grandfather to become alpha of his pack. The fun begins when Liam goes home with Griffin and meets the "family" so to speak I loved these other characters too they made me laugh. So I will be buying the next one in this series since it captured my attention so well. besides it really is a fun story, I recommend

A Guitarist in the Fae Queen's Court (Fae Intervention #1) by Amber Kell

A Guitarist in the Fae Queen's Court (Fae Intervention, #1)

When Jimmy Bo Jackson auditions for a gig little does he know it will plunge him into faery court intrigue or that his lover has been keeping secrets from him.

                                                            5 STARS

Everybody knows I enjoy an Amber Kell book almost always but this story caught me by surprise. First of all I didn't like the cover so I almost put it on my will read later list but then I read the blurb and was intrigued. remember when I said authors you really need to watch your blurbs cause that can make a person want to read your story or scare them away, I have found plenty of blurbs that made me put off reading an incredible story only to read someone else's review that makes me decide to go ahead. Anyway this blurb intrigued me, and I am so glad I didn't put it off. I LOVED THIS BOOK!

When Jimmy answers an ad for a musician, all hell breaks lose LOL. I was so surprised at where this book went and how seamlessly it progressed to a gorgeous love story that I couldn't put it down. What I got was so much more that just a sweet sexy love story this one had intense emotions, that at some points had me in tears but in a good way. It's definitely a love story but I got more of each characters feelings together and separately, the emotions from each character was incredibly strong.

Rain being a Prince of the fae is keeping that from Jimmy until Jimmy disappears then he has to go save his true love from his mother and his half brother. And I will say I was very surprised by the villain, which was kinda fun too, I liked how Rain didn't want anything but Jimmy and their need to be together. I Highly Recommend.

                                                                 4.75 STARS

The Brac Pack series is one of my top favorites, the continuing of this growing family is so sweet and funny and I love that Cecil is still causing trouble for Maverick. I fell in love with that first book and couldn't stop reading till I finished like book 19 then I had to wait till more came out, but this family has kept me interested and fascinated ever since. So I tend to get excited when I buy a new Brac book the all have such a different story, that it amazes me each character has some serious issues that they need to work through. And each character either makes me ROFL or is Hot as Hell.

Darcy's character is a planner and thinker he's also a little moody, so he's perfect for the brooding and moody Raven, they both have issues and it's adorable how Darcy's lil' bro Sterling helps out. I can't wait to read his story I've been waiting on Riley's for like ever LOL. I loved that we get the mates in this story I missed them, and dammit if they don't bring some wonderful humor to this series. I highly recommend

When the war between humans and paranormals escalates into biological warfare, humans suddenly find themselves topping the endangered species list.

Forced underground by the New Order, Warren Colfax has to believe that sleeping in the foul sewers is preferable to becoming a paranormal’s plaything. When a raid for supplies lands him right in the hands of the enemy, the last thing he expected was for the “monster” to step in as his protector.

Lieutenant Drakon Rhinegold isn’t impressed with fate’s choice of pairing him with a human, but when circumstances out of his control arise, he finds himself responsible for Warren whether he likes it or not.

In a new world where nothing is ever as black and white as it seems, the pair will have to overcome their preconceived notions, look past the surface, and learn to trust all over again if they have any hope of surviving Armageddon.

I loved this story mainly because Warren is as sarcastic as me, and he kept me laughing throughout this book. Like when he thinks Drakon is gonna kill him he doesn't beg or plead he just kinda goes with the flow. I frickin' loved his character, Drakon had to grow on me some but it was funny watching Warren mess with his head LOL.  I thought the new post apocalyptic world that Ms. Evans made for this series is totally fascinating. I was easily drawn in and didn't feel lost or confused And I totally liked that it was the humans who screwed up LOL. And meeting the new characters I really want Kendall's story btw, I enjoyed the on the edge of your seat action and of course the incredibly Hot sex! (inner perv had to put her two cents in)and am sure that this couple will grow as the series progresses. I would definitely recommend

The Wolf Who Fought for His Soul Mate (Mate or Meal, #12)

But the warlock’s plan is far more sinister than any of them expected. Paris will have to face his own fears, and fight for his soul mate. Can he find the necessary strength? Can Jace’s love wipe away the doubts and pain in Paris’s soul?

As usual I really enjoyed this story, with it being in one of my favorite series the Mate or Meal takes on a whole new level of paranormals and what is expected of them. This one was a little different since it's about two wolves instead of two different shifters but it's also kind of a continuing of the previous story, since it's Anser's son Paris' story and the search for his mother who tried to kill his father's mate Reed.

Paris & Jace's relationship is not the front and center of this book it's more centered on the mystery and dealing with Paris' insecurities. I really liked that it concentrated on those, even though I really didn't like the way the other pack members treated him. I did think that Jace & Paris work well as mates and enjoyed the Hot sex scenes between the two. I really can't wait to read the next one which I believe may be about Jace' brother. I recommend

Cupid's Arrow by Kris Cook

Cupid's Arrow

Cupid’s Arrow

For Titus Love, matchmaking is much more than a hobby – it was the family business. Being the grandson of Cupid himself, Titus is obsessed with restoring his grandfather’s good work and leaves Olympus to secretly work his magic in Dallas’s hottest new tattoo studio, Love Ink.

Detective Derek Stone doesn’t believe in love. Betrayed by a former lover, Derek views the sentimental emotion as a weakness that almost destroyed him vowing never to give anyone that power over him again.

While investigating a string of grisly murders, Derek discovers one common thread – all of the victims were clients of Love Ink and its owner, Titus Love. But when Derek questions his gorgeous suspect, their passion ignites and Derek discovers that the world is bigger and darker than he ever knew.

Something evil has come to Dallas, and only a hard-boiled detective and the new god of love stand in its way.

This is my first book by this author, and I loved it. There's alot of mythology which was fun, since there's a little bit of everybody thrown in (all the Gods). This story has intense emotions, Hot sex, and some seriously funny moments. I fell for Titus' character immediately he was funny and sweet especially with his family of cousins, so when the 12 decide to start helping humans again, Titus steals his grandfather's(Cupid) arrow. He picks a few humans who need love desperately and tattoos them with special soul mate finding ink.

Detective Derek on the other hand, is investigating the murder of a man who had one of Titus' special tattoos, although Derek has a secret too he can see and sense things that others can't. He a descendant of an oracle, though he doesn't know it yet. Derek's also jaded when it comes to love but he has reasons for which I understood. Titus and the other Demi-Gods are on a mission, and their are also humans who want to steal the Gods power's and make it dangerous for the Demigods here on earth. Which is involved in these murders of the guys with Titus' special tattoos.

This story I believe is the start to a series (I hope) I really enjoyed it. The edge of your seat action, learning that Gods exist, finding your soul mate and learning to trust in love again make this book a great read and added to my gotta read more to this series list. I highly Recommend
