Chase of a Lifetime by Ryan Field

Chase of a Lifetime
When Jim Darling graduates from Princeton and goes back home to Texas, he dreads everything ahead of him. He’s almost twenty-one years old, still in the closet, and has never been with a man. Though his father wants him to go to law school so he can join him in his law firm, it’s the last thing Jim wants to do.

On Jim’s first night home, during his college graduation party at his mom and dad’s ranch, he runs into his best friend’s dad, Len Mayfield, a rugged, handsome investment banker in his late thirties who rides horses and wears a cowboy hat when he’s not working as an investment banker. Len’s life isn’t much different from Jim’s. He’s been in the closet forever, he’s trapped in a marriage of convenience with a wife who cheats, and he’s resigned to his circumstances.

That is until Len runs into the grown up version of Jim Darling at the graduation party. What happens after that blossoms into something neither of them ever expected. A long seduction leads to fantastic love-making. There’s enough passion, heartache, and frustration to challenge their fragile relationship in more ways than one.

Will Jim Darling find a way to come clean with his mom and dad so he can find the happiness he’s always wanted? And will Len Mayfield find the courage to finally come out of the closet and walk away from a life that has never made him happy?

                                                                4.25 STARS

I started out not liking this book, mainly because of the way Len acted at the beginning, but the longer I kept reading the more I liked this story. I felt it engaged all the angst but the joy of falling in love also, at times it was intense and somewhat sad it had a very "real" feel to it. And Jim's character was just adorable I felt so much for this kid and his stresses with coming out, and falling in love with not only an older man but his best friend (whom he has had secret fantasies about BTW) dad and Len & his wife (Yeah he's married too) are friends with Jim's parents. Not only did all that make this story angst worthy but I thought it made this story funny as hell. I recommend this book I happen to love a HEA and the stress these two go through just to come out and eventually be together are worth it.

Professor's Keeper (A Mind is a Sexy Thing) by Nicole Dennis

Professor's KeeperProfessor Alistair Tarrellton knows everything about algorithms but little about relationships. After ex-Marine Rhys Blackwood rescues him from a botched robbery and a panic attack, Alistair finds himself with a new keeper, but can he afford the distraction?

Child prodigy, scientist, and, professor Alistair Tarrellton knows research, not people. Hiding behind glasses and an overstated vocabulary, he faces panic attacks and headaches if situations become too uncomfortable. As head of the college's bioinformatics area of study, he teaches classes and runs two labs, but he prefers to hide in his private one at home.

A stop at the grocery store on his way home one night puts Alistair in the middle of a botched robbery. While a panic attack freezes him, he watches former Marine Rhys Blackwood take command with ease, and one touch from this powerful man pushes away Alistair's fear. Rhys quickly invites himself into Alistair's home and life, and while part of Alistair doesn't believe he can afford the distraction of a relationship, the rest of him wants the other man to never leave

                                                                          3.75 STARS

I thought this story was adorable, I'm a geek fan at heart so this was a really cute, fun story. It did go a little fast but it's a short story so that kinda makes up for it. I liked the big bad ass Marine coming in to save the day like I said what a cute fun absolutely adorable story  I recommend.

The Alpha's Pet by Shannon West

The Alpha's Pet
Nicky Anderson is living a normal, if hectic life as an artist and part time waiter in a large city, when he’s attacked by a mugger who slashes his throat. When he awakens, he’s naked, and surrounded by large, muscular men. Nicky feels an immediate attraction to Marco, the most handsome man Nicky has ever seen, which is strange, since Nicky is straight. His attraction is overwhelming and downright embarrassing as he licks the man and tries to climb all over him. He soon discovers he’s the newest “pet” of the Mountain Wolf Pack, and Marco is his new master. Saved from certain death, has he exchanged one horrible fate for another? All he knows is that he’s in heat for this beautiful man. When he learns his new master is a wolf shapeshifter who demands his love and obedience, he begins to wonder just what he’s gotten himself into.
                                                          3 STARS

I liked the plot to this story but I didn't like the storyline does that make sense? Anyway the story could've been awesome, I had some issues with the pet having to give up their personality which is how I took this story. It was intense but a little depressing ok a lot depressing, I did feel that the accidental bitten, woke up to hot alpha werewolf and intense sex had potential as a story, but this obey me or else and the constant rules ruined this story for me. I wouldn't want my personality stripped away no matter how hot the guy was. The secondary characters didn't even attempt to make me like them, honestly most came across as jerks who only wanted a stepford wife. I'm not recommending sorry!

                                                                 4.75 STARS

Dangerous Alpha at first I felt a little lost, but this book ended up being my favorite so far not only because of the extremely Scorching sex scenes(BTW that melted my ice cream) but I loved the twist to this story I didn't see it coming and that was a blast. I loved how it was a hell of alot of work to get these two together and at times wondered if it would work at all. It was sexy, and intense but one hell of a fun story I really enjoyed the sexy chemistry between Quinn & Max cause Damn it was HOT! And yes I know I'm being perrvy again but oh well LOL I'm so recommending this book.

Maverick Danker (Beyond the Marius Brothers #5) by Joyee Flynn

Maverick Danker (Beyond the Marius Brothers, #5)

Tyler Gilroy, a werewolf who’s been beaten, tortured, and used, has long since given up hope of finding a mate. He’s sickened with himself for being willing to accept any sort of affection to feel wanted, but the alternative is too bleak to contemplate.

Asterio has never left the fae plane before. When he enters Earth, he must learn a new way of living, adjust to having two mates, and face his insecurities after a few hundred years’ dry spell.

Will Mav, Tyler, and Asterio fight to overcome the obstacles on their road to love? Or will they each choose the path of least resistance—and ultimately end up alone?

                                                                           4 STARS

I will say this was not my favorite book in this wonderful series, but it's not a bad book either, it just didn't work with me. The issues in this one through me little, but I got where each individual character comes from and why they act the way they do. Though I gotta say Tyler was my fav in this one I really got Maverick too, didn't get Asterio as much but I liked the way they had to work at being mates and when they messed up it takes a while to fix their screwups, and it's not instant happiness. I felt these guys had to do some major work to make this Menage' work. Now saying that the Sex scenes are off the chart Scorching!!!! I still recommend cause this is an awesome spin-off series and I love Ms. Flynn's books.

Astrid's Wish (Warriors of the Light #2) by AJ Jarrett

                                                                       4.75 STARS

I'm seriously loving this series, it's fun, sexy and exciting as hell it's an on the edge of my seat type of story that also adds an interesting twist to finding your mate storyline. Astrid became a favorite character of mine in the first book Mile's Awakening which I also loved, he's sweet & Innocent but a strong witch also, the crap he has gone through would have crippled a lesser man. And I loved how fierce Miles & Trevor are over protecting their family, makes me really want more.

Klaus at first I didn't really like to much but eventually he grew on me, especially after he realizes how much he loves Astrid. YAY he finally pulls his head outta his ass! And the sex scenes are HOT! I hope we get Trevor's story soon he may end up being my favorite he's very sarcastic we'd get along great. I recommend it's a great fun & exciting series can't wait to see where it's gonna go next.

The Incubus Song (Incubus Contracts, #1) by Jana Downs

The Incubus Song (Incubus Contracts, #1)
Dante is a struggling musician in New Orleans with no time for a social life. He doesn't know that his passion has caught the eye of some otherworldly creatures who want more from him than the music he makes.

Eroc is a sex demon on probation for showing mercy to a human. When the King of the Incubi hands him the important mission of retrieving Dante's soul, he knows that it is his last chance. But Eroc never anticipated the pleasure he feels when obeying the sexy musician.

Can the two overcome their differences and make a meaningful relationship out of a shady business deal? Or will they both lose themselves in the roles they've been cast to play?

                                                  4.5 STARS

I found this story an absolute blast to read, it was sweet, sexy and just flat out fun. Eroc is an incubus who as his punishment for screwing up he needs to steal Dante's soul. Dante is a rock singer who is waiting on his big break, when he meets Eroc and wants him. A cute story that I truly enjoyed I recommend.

Armed & Dangerous (Cut & Run #5) by Abigail Roux

Armed & Dangerous (Cut & Run, #5)
Cut & Run Series Book 5 - Sequel to Divide & Conquer

Left alone in Baltimore after his unpredictable lover bails, Special Agent Zane Garrett takes his frustration out on everything in his path until he is ordered to Chicago to back up an undercover operative. When he gets there, though, he finds himself face to face with his wayward partner, Special Agent Ty Grady. They have to deal with the uncertainty lingering between them while they work to retrieve their intended mark, a retired hit man and CIA wet-works operative named Julian Cross.

Ty, once a marine and now an FBI hotshot, has a penchant for being unpredictable, a trait Zane can vouch for. Zane is a man who once lived for his job but has come to realize his heartbreaking past doesn’t have to overshadow his future. They're partners, friends, lovers, and the go-to team for unusual cases. With Cross and his innocuous boyfriend, Cameron Jacobs, in tow, Ty and Zane must navigate the obstacles of a cross-country trek, including TSA pat-downs, blizzards, their uncooperative prisoners, CIA kill teams, a desperate lack of sleep or caffeine, and each other. Ty and Zane are determined to get Julian Cross to DC in one piece, but it’s starting to look like it might be the last thing they do.

                                                                  5+ STARS

I know I have alot of favorites when it comes to my reading but this series is top of the top for me. Armed & Dangerous has to be the best book in this series yet, not even sure why just that I felt that I got a better look at each of the MC's and how their mind works, so it explains why in previous books they've done the things that they have. There are times in this series I wanted to scream at the characters not to miss their chance at love or to effing pull their heads outta their asses. But it kept me reading and dammit wanting more.

Before this book I would have said Ty was my favorite of two but in this one Zane became my favorite the way we see his love for Ty, was intense and just plain beautiful. The Cut & Run series has always been exciting and intense action packed story with two FBI agents who happen to fall in love with each other. But Armed & Dangerous brings that Love story to the fore front, makes it intense but romantic too. It was the perfect combination for me. Add in Julian & Cameron from Warrior's Cross (which I also loved) and this is an off the charts hit.

The all consuming love between Ty & Zane I had felt was missing in the previous book I found it in Armed & Dangerous. And OMG the sex scenes, I melted my contacts!!!! I truly felt like I finally got the characters and understood why in previous books they've done some stupid shit LOL. No seriously if you want a story that keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat the entire book, plus an EPIC love story this is the book! And on top of that there's another coming out in August YES! I am bouncing around to that news. I recommend you NEED to read this series and I will just say Armed & Dangerous made me realize why.

The Devil Makes Three (Gods of Chaos #4)

                                                           4.75 STARS

This was my favorite book in the Gods of Chaos series so far, I really loved the storyline as it kept me guessing the entire book. The chemistry between Luke & Tucker was Hot as Hell, and the fight to surrender to each other was intense but sincere.

Luke comes across as an ass, who I really didn't like at first but he eventually grows on me. He handles the whole Gods & Vampires thing pretty well considering he thought that was just make believe.
So when his life is in total Chaos it makes him take a good look at what's important and what's not. Tucker is a selfish vampire, who thinks money is more important than anything, I kinda liked Tucker more just because he seemed nicer in the beginning. The Debt that they both have to pay was a serious issue but written in a very entertaining way. Add in Levi & Archer from a previous book and you get a great story that will make you want more. I recommend

                                                              4 STARS

The Billionaire's Boyfriend was a really cute book that I really liked, it was a little sappy but I kinda enjoyed that. it goes a little fast and we don't get as much character info that I would have liked at least not till the end but like I said it's a cute, sweet story that has some really hot sex scenes in it. (Yeah I'm not complaining) As a make yourself into something to be proud of story this one works well for me. I recommend

Hard Tail by JL Merrow

Hard Tail
Finding love can be a bumpy ride.

His job: downsized out of existence. His marriage: dead in the water. It doesn’t take a lot of arm twisting for Tim Knight to agree to get out of London and take over his injured brother’s mountain bike shop for a while. A few weeks in Southampton is a welcome break from the wreck his life has become, even though he feels like a fish out of water in this brave new world of outdoor sports and unfamiliar technical jargon.

The young man who falls—literally—through the door of the shop brings everything into sharp, unexpected focus. Tim barely accepts he’s even in the closet until his attraction to Matt Berridge pulls him close enough to touch the doorknob.

There’s only one problem with the loveable klutz: his bullying boyfriend. Tim is convinced Steve is the cause of the bruises that Matt blows off as part of his risky sport. But rising to the defense of the man he’s beginning to love means coming to terms with who he is—in public—in a battle not even his black belt prepared him to fight. Until now.

                                                               4.5 STARS

I gotta say I laughed my ass off with this book, I loved it. Sarcasm is my middle name so I totally enjoyed this story. I mean it has some serious issues that it deals with but I found it to be an incredibly entertaining story right from the start. Tim is so funny and absolutely clueless that I just couldn't help loving him, the way his family interacts with him is just too funny, even the way his marriage ends was hilarious. Matt I just wanted to wrap him in bubble wrap and take him home with me, he's soo cute I really wanted to kick his bullying boyfriend's ass how could he be so mean to such an adorable character like Matt. The friendship to lovers between these two was cute and fun. And lets not forget Wolverine (poor Adam). Seriously though I really enjoyed reading this story I recommend.

Still Waters (Sanctuary #4) by RJ Scott

Still Waters (Sanctuary #4)
Adam is given an assignment -- to work with a man he hates. The same man that didn't trust him two years before and destroyed their relationship in a single day.

Lee is adamant that he needs to understand why Adam betrayed the Bureau and the Bullen case is the perfect cover to get back in his ex lover's life.

Against the backdrop of Sanctuary and the Bullen case, can they both realise not everything they saw was real?

                                                  4.5 STARS

First off I loved Still Waters it's my favorite book so far in the Sanctuary series, I really liked the chemistry between Adam & Lee at the end of the last book and this book just proves that I was right. These two are more than hot together their combustible, I was like Damn I'll never look at another conference table the same way.

The ensuing friction between the MC's is completely believable and well written,  I mean I totally get why Adam's kinda an ass you would be too if your partner didn't believe or trust you. It took me a little longer to like Lee, but he eventually made me just love his character. The way the action is brought out in this book seriously took me off guard, I was surprised even thinking I knew who the bad guy was I really thought it was gonna go another way. But I really liked the way it did happen.

I recommend it's really an exciting story, and the characters are just amazing in their interactions with each other, Great Job Ms. Scott!

                                                                  4 STARS

This is the first Amber Kell book that I didn't absolutely love right off the bat, of course this book dealt with far more serious issues than most of her previous books that I've read. And it kinda missed her famous sarcasm that I love so much, I still really liked this story though. We do get to know each individual character and the realism in their fears of starting a menage' relationship. I loved how intense & serious Brax' love for Payne is and how he will do anything to make him happy. Payne even with his very serious intense issues loves Brax just as intense. They meet Flame and both decide they want to keep him as their third, Flame also has his own insecurities over becoming a Menage' relationship. But they decide to try like I said it's a more serious book than  previous ones I have read I will still recommend because you can not help but love an Amber Kell book. This one just captures you right up into the story where you just want so much for Brax, Payne & Flame to have the Happy Ever After that they deserve.

                                                                  3.5 STARS

This book was well written, don't get me wrong but it just wasn't for me, it has a more Gladiator type theme going on and honestly I don't like all the blood, gore and killing. It just kinda turns me off, I think given more time to actually get to know these characters I may have liked it alot more, it went a little fast and I felt that it lost something along the way. It's definitely an intense story and the beginning just broke my heart but like I said it was a very intense story not for the faint of heart. I will still recommend but only to those who are prepared for a lot of gore and some seriously horrible situations.

Best Laid Plans (Assassin/Shifter #5) by Sandrine Gasq-Dion

Can the Drakes overcome the gay bashing they suffered at their father’s hands and be true to themselves and the men they love? Or are some lessons just too hard to unlearn?
                                 4.75 STARS

I don't know what exactly it is that makes me love this series so much, but I'm completely hooked on it. Best Laid Plans is actually two stories in one Grayson & Xander are brothers who find out that their mates are not only brothers too but their new bosses. The first chapter had me LMAO but mad as hell for the young Quinton brothers too, the struggle that Jagger & Taylor have such a hard time with coming out because of what their father Carson did to them that their pretend straightness really was more hilarious than serious. But when they realize they may lose their mates they learn how to overcome their fear instead. The addition of Caden was fun too, plus I got to revisit with some of my favorites Riley, Dakota, Sawyer and their mates we also get to meet some characters for future stories Can't wait!
It's not a very long story but I enjoyed it so much I really really want to read the next one asap!  I recommend

Gambling Men: The Novel by Amy Lane

Gambling Men: The Novel
Quent Jackson has followed Jason Spade's every move in business and in poker since their first day as college freshmen. Eight years later, when Jace finally decides Quint is the one man he can't live without, he sees no reason for that to change.

But as much as Jace believes that poker is life, no one gave Quent the same playbook. After their first passionate night, the real game of love and trust begins, and Jace has been playing alone too long to make teaching the rules easy. Jace only speaks two languages: one of them is sex, and the other one is poker. Between the two, he needs to find a way to convince himself to take a chance on love—and Quent to take a chance on him. It's a lucky thing they’re good at reading the odds, because they’re playing for keeps, and this is one high-stakes relationship that's definitely worth the gamble.

                                                            5 STARS

I honestly don't think I have ever read an Amy Lane book that I didn't absolutely love and want to read again & again. This one is Awesome only one thing I didn't cry nearly as much as usually when I read an Amy Lane, that was a good thing because Gambling Men was a fun exciting story with a serious love story involved.

The chemistry between Jace & Quent alone was intense, sexy as hell and fun, add in the whole coming out and starting a serious relationship and this book became one of my top favorites. It is very well written but then again if you have ever read an Amy Lane book you get that. I liked everything about this book even the secondary characters (although I was hoping for some others of the poker troup to have been closeted so we'd get another book but oh well.) they were great at bringing Jace & Trent's feelings and concerns to the fore front and helped them deal with them.

I highly recommend. This book rocks! and Damn the sex scenes holy shit I will never look at another poker table the same way LOL.

Little Brat Lost (Friends to Lovers 0) by Stephani Hecht

Little Brat Lost (Friends to Lovers #04)
Jimmy doesn’t want to call attention to himself—he just wants to live a quiet life. Okay, maybe he was broken-hearted, homeless, destitute, and desperate, which led to turning tricks in order to survive. That doesn’t mean he’s the typical lost, neglected boy who’s in almost every gay movie and book… At least that’s what he keeps telling himself so he won’t have to face how bad his life really is.

Trent moved from his hometown and found success as a PI, but he still stays in touch with his close friends. So when one of them calls and asks for help tracking down his missing brother, Trent immediately agrees to take the case. He expects the job to be quick and easy, over in just a couple of days.

What Trent doesn’t count on is finding a sexy, smart-mouthed brat who refuses to cooperate. Sure, Jimmy may be hot as hell, but he also has the ability to drive Trent crazy. One thing Trent does know for certain is that he’s drawn to Jimmy in a way that could get both of them into trouble. Will Jimmy return his feelings, or is Trent going to return home with a broken heart?

                                                                   3.5 STARS

I'm a huge Stephani Hecht fan and rarely will I read a book by her that I didn't like, this one  I didn't like so much. I think it just went too fast for me, I could have really gotten into it if I had more story. The plotline and character storylines were great I just needed more time to get to know these characters and why they make the decisions that they do.

I kinda get why Jimmy is in the situation but like I said I needed more, I do hope to read Adam's story. The chemistry between Trent & Jimmy if given more time could  have been awesome, but what we did get was good and I could see where it would have gone. I'm hoping like with alot of series that you get more info as you go. so I will recommend because I love Stephani Hecht's books and this one seems a rare off one to me.

Redemption by Olivia Duncan Craig

Devin is wealthy and heartbroken after the wife he adored walked out on him. He isn’t looking for love. All he wants is a relationship he can control. Buying a bondmate seems like the perfect solution.

Yet when he purchases Jason’s contract, Devin gets more than he bargained for

                                                                  3.5 STARS

I have mixed feelings about this one I liked it really well up to the ending, then it felt too rushed for me. The storyline had some holes and the MCs needed a little more info to make their chemistry work but like I said I really liked it upto the ending then it kinda fell apart for me. I was left with some questions to make this story complete at least for me.

Jason had his reasons for becoming a bondmate, what I didn't like about it was that most secondary characters and even Devin at some points made it like that was something to wipe your feet on you know? I mean they made it seem very derogatory, and that made me not like most of those characters at all. Jason is a good guy and I really liked his character, his confusion & stress of starting this new life was the only thing that made me keep reading this book.

Devin I didn't like his character till the end honestly, he felt like too much of a follower did everything everybody else wanted him to and even seemed kinda mean in some places where he is written. I guess it feels like I had too many questions left unanswered about Devin.

I will recommend because like I said there were some parts I really liked, the date for one and when Devin brings home fettuccine alfredo for Jason were some of my favorites.

Acrobat by Mary Calmes

Acrobat
Forty-five-year-old English professor Nathan Qells is very good at making people feel important. What he’s not very good at is sticking around afterward. He’s a nice guy; he just doesn’t feel things the way other people do. So even after all the time he’s spent taking care of Michael, the kid across the hall, he doesn’t realize that Michael’s mob muscle uncle and guardian, Andreo Fiore, has slowly been falling in love with him.

Dreo has bigger problems than getting Nate to see him as a potential partner. He’s raising his nephew, trying to leave his unsavory job, and starting his own business, a process made infinitely more difficult when a series of hits takes out some key underworld players. Still, Dreo is determined to build a life he can be proud of—a life with Nate as a cornerstone. A life that is starting to look like exactly what Nate has been looking for. Unfortunately for Dreo—and for Nate—the last hits were just part of a major reorganization, and Dreo’s obvious love for Nate has made him a target too.

                                                   5 STARS

OMG! I LOVED THIS STORY...Yeah I got a little too excited but hey, this book is that Damn good! Ms. Calmes' stories always take me to places that teach me things or even better make me stop and think. When a good story can make me laugh, cry and I can't put it down it becomes a Great story Acrobat is such a story.

I loved this book so much I don't even know where to begin, Nate became a character I wanted to meet in real life most people never are that comfortable with themselves but he is. He made me think is there something nice I could do for someone today? He's very secure in his life, he's comfortable but he's missing love I had fun seeing him figure out if it would be Sean the doctor, Duncan the in the closet Detective or Dreo the muscle for the mob next door.

I gotta say I enjoyed not only the love story part but also how close Nate is to his ex wife, her husband, his students, Michael and my favorite was his son Jared. I hope to be a parent that would always be there no matter what for my kids you know? I'm impressed with how well this story is written and the closeness that wraps you into this fun but loving family of sorts. I hope we get Duncan's story soon I'd like to see him get out of that closet.

If you want a story that will entertain you and make you feel, this is it. I finished it on tuesday and I'm still thinking about it, now thats what I call a Great book this is one I will read over & over again.

                                                     5 STARS

I loved this story, I know, I gotta a thing for Sexy Vamps what can I say? Merrick is a Master vampire who owns a nightclub called Hot Encounters, he's bored after five hundred years until one night he's finds his mate dancing on the club floor.

Frankie who is finally enjoying a fun night out after dumping his abusive boyfriend, who can't seem to let go when he happens upon the hottest man he's ever seen. When Merrick tries to court Frankie, Frankie shows him he's no pushover to the Master vamp's domineering ways. So Merrick decides to hiring the young architect to expand his club, Frankie just can't say no.I thought the dating was such a cute way to get to know each character. What an adorable and fun story with enough drama to make me want another I truly enjoyed this book. Kudos to Ms. Griffin I can't wait for more from you. I recommend.

What He Wants by Kate Aaron

What He Wants
Christo's life fell apart when his partner of eight years walked out on him. There wasn't even a reason for it: sometimes love just fades, as quickly and mysteriously as it appears in the first place.

Enter Damien. Damien's the guy with a different man on his arm for every event, he's smooth and arrogant and always impeccably turned out. Christo hates him. But God, he's gorgeous. Damien could be exactly what Christo needs to get him over John.

It's only going to be a fling. Nothing serious, nothing that will affect their working relationship or the rest of their lives. So why are they fighting through the night rather than letting go and walking away? Why does Damien's secretive nature bug Christo so much? And why does he even care that the other man might not be as tough as he pretends to be?

                                                                             4.25 STARS

I actually enjoyed this story it's a little long but very enjoyable, I was hoping for a little more at the end but I really liked the chemistry between Damien & Christo.

Christo goes through so much that I really felt for him, I mean he thinks his life is perfect then eight yrs goes down the drain, add in money troubles and the strain on Christo nearly crushes him, Damien comes to his rescue but they still don't get along. Their relationship is a very intense chemistry driven storyline, its not a fast jump into love kinda story. But well written I really felt everything that both of these characters are trying to bring across, and they make such a cute couple which made them fun too.

I recommend I found that I enjoyed this book a great deal. Some tears, but a good deal of heart felt feeling poured into this one.

Angel Kin (His Guardian Angels #3) by Jana Downs

                                                              4.5 STARS

I believe this is the final book in this series, but i certainly wouldn't mind more. I have enjoyed this series more than I would have thought, the plot/action kept me on my toes throughout each book and they didn't just end on perfect notes either. My favorite is still book 2 but this one was just as fascinating, kept me wanting to see more.

The Guardians are Sexy, and hilarious add in Madigan who is just adorable and you get an extremely exciting story with in depth feelings. Watching them all trying to work together to make this a bond into a family especially Cross & Bren they are totally HOT! Mychel trying to get over his anger issues, Yuri being hurt and sulking, then we have Dex who is such a gentle giant, and Madi who just wants his lovers safe and happy. I found this story a wonderful take me away story.

I recommend  Warning: You may need a cold shower when reading this series I mean who doesn't want Sex with 5 Hot Sexy Angels (I'm so going to hell for reading this LOL)  I can't wait to read the next series by this author I already pre ordered Gladiator Games from bookstrand.com.

                                                        4.75 STARS

I got into this series, a couple months ago and finished all 4 in one weekend, this series is exciting, extremely sexy, and fun. I fell in love with the all the characters so I squealed like a little girl when I saw it was continuing  with book 5.

Nate is the brother of one of the not really bad guy more of a confused guy Rick in the last book. Nate who got shot at the end of book 4 is struggling with the guilt of his brother's death. Deciding on moving on until he runs into his mate the sheriff's deputy. Who has his own problems with his younger brother's drinking. When Nate comes to the rescue of said brother, Jared realizes that Nate's his mate. But thinks he needs to keep it quiet due to his brother and wanting to be sheriff. There's also the little fact that he outbids Nate on his family home.

I loved the mystery that is on going in this series, it's exciting fast paced and Sexy as hell. I recommend. This is one action packed, Hot Sex and fun story.

For the Rest of Eternity (Christian's Coven #5) by Lynn Hagen

Time is running out and Shelby isn’t sure he can convince his mate to be converted. When Jacob collapses right before Shelby's eyes, Shelby realizes just how close he is to losing the one man fate has given him to love for the rest of eternity.

                                                            4.75 STARS

Okay, I know I'm a fangirl but I gotta say this is my favorite in Christians Coven series so far, Shelby has always been my favorite "little vampire" and in this story you can tell why. Shelby meets his human mate Jacob who happens to be seriously sick with a rare blood disease. You  would think once they mate that Jacob would get better, so imagine my surprise when that doesn't happen, the story takes on a whole different plot line then what I had been expecting in a good way too.

Shelby doesn't want to lose his mate to death, but has to face reality
when he wants to fight it, his reactions and how he deals with this is why I love his character, he may be small but he has an inner strength that we finally get to see. Jacob has to learn that sometimes you need put someone else' needs before your own pride. Which took some serious heart to heart talks, not only with Shelby his mate but also Christian, I loved that we get more Christian in this book. We also get more to our ongoing mystery and new secondary characters.

Of course I recommend, if you haven't read it you need too, I have laughed, cried, and just plain been entertained so I will keep reading this Awesome series.

Redemption by Fire by Andrew Grey

Redemption by Fire
Dirk Krause is an asshole of the first degree. His life is a hell of his own making, and he makes everyone around him just as miserable. When he’s injured on the job while fighting a fire, he’s nearly unbearable to the hospital staff, and of course no one from his unit cares enough to visit.

Lee Stockton is the new guy at the station, so he gets saddled with the job of bringing Dirk a sympathy bouquet from the guys at the firehouse. To Dirk’s surprise, Lee sees through him like a pane of glass and doesn’t take any of his crap. Lee’s determined to get Dirk to stop being a dick just to push everyone away. When their fighting turns to fucking, will the fireworks shine brightly on a possible relationship or leave them with nothing but ashes?

                                                     4.5 STARS

I picked this up mainly because of the blurb it sounded interesting and I thought WTH. This is only the second book I have read from this author honestly I didn't like the first one so I sorta stayed away, now I'm wondering why. I really enjoyed this book the whole closeted gay tough guy takes on a whole new dimension once Dirk has been hurt, the way he takes a look at his life is written very sincere and well done. There were still times I wanted to kick his ass but the "Love can conquer anything" storyline makes him realize what and how he has been living. It's a very eye opening short story, and the love story part is nicely done, not a love at first sight more of a lust then slowly falls in love storyline. I really enjoyed the secondary characters of course all but Dirks dad.

And Lee is just a nice guy, who has to convince Dirk that there are people out there who will help you without wanting something in return. Dirk seems to struggle with this concept, but he's also a selfless hero who jumps before he thinks. I recommend this book and hope there will be more soon I liked it.

Sunshine's Kiss (McCaffrey Men #1) by Stormy Glenn

Sunshine's Kiss (McCaffrey Men, #1)Sam Bishop is on the run and the safest place he can think of to hide is the ranch where he grew up. He just doesn't expect Jesse McCaffrey, the ranch owner, to be waiting for his return. The man is both angry that Sam left him five years ago and determined to make sure that Sam never leaves again.

But the danger that Sam is fleeing is right on his tail and Jesse will have to reveal his darkest secret in order to save Sam. Getting Sam to stay after that will take more determination than Jesse might have. A little luck wouldn't hurt either.

And if that doesn't' work, Jesse will just claim Sam as his Lycan mate and keep him anyway.

                                                  4.75 STARS

Ok that's it Ms. Glenn now has me hooked on another series with just the first book ARG!!!! No now in all seriousness I LOVE Ms. Glenn's books mainly because Dammit she knows how to tell a story! Not many authors can get me so involved with just the first book, now I'm freaking out wondering when the next one will get here, soon I hope. I even liked the cover  but of course what girl wouldn't huh? I mean cowboy shifters WTH? I need to go take a cold shower so hang on.

Sam has got to be one of the most adorable characters I have ever read, I just loved him everything about him was just to cute. Even when he finds out that the man he's in love with is Lycan, which by the way when it happens is funnier than hell. His reactions were sincere but funny in a way. Jesse is just all Alpha and whats hotter than an Alpha Cowboy? Yeah thats what I said. The way he loves Sam is so sweet I like the sweet love stories with the intense twist to them, besides the sex is EXTREMELY HOT!! I didn't see any of the awesome twists that are involved that make this such an exciting edge of my seat love story, what an awesome twist to the mate/lycan storyline. AMAZING JOB Ms. Glenn!

I recommend because I was entertained and enlightened all at the same time.

                                                       4 STARS

This being number 9 in this series it's still an interesting, funny and sexy love story. I liked the chemistry pull between Dillinger & Luke in this one, the sort of pull, push away they do was well written and made me want to read more. Dilly being a cop & Luke thinks he's a criminal was actually a really different take on the mate thing but Damn the sex scenes are SCORCHING! I enjoy that we keep learning new things about characters from previous books, kinda ties them all in. I've already ordered the next 3 books so I'll keep reading them and let you know what I think.  But Damn I hope that poor Dylan gets his own story soon that poor guy has been through hell and back of course he's usually the one that gets beaten or injured in these books LOL I recommend.

Tailor Made by James Brock

Escaping life on a farm, sexy Wyatt Taylor runs to the nearest city after college where he finds and loses both love and employment. Down but not out, the handsome young man rebounds by landing the coveted position as assistant to powerful Portland, Oregon, business tycoon, William Bowen. Cold and precise, the mogul has a rarified life of privilege that leaves no room for error.

Thrust into a world of jet set travel and caviar, Wyatt is given little direction about his new career and is fitted with a designer wardrobe. Clothes may not make the man, but Wyatt loves the beautifully tailored suits, wearing them like modern armor without realizing a connection between the way he looks in his new work “uniform” and Bowen’s clients.

Aside from being handsome, William Bowen has everything: an estate, private plane, and clients worldwide. Only his taste in men is questionable. His astoundingly poor judgment in that area confuses everyone around him, including his flippant, funny, and in-charge property manager who befriends Wyatt but has his own reason for not telling all of the secrets of Bowen Industries.

A sudden change in Wyatt’s personal life while on a business trip is followed by a bonding night for Wyatt and William Bowen, the long simmering feelings Wyatt has held toward the boss since the day of his interview nearing a boiling point. Wyatt is still blissfully unaware of his true role in the operation of Bowen Industries, however.

Can two men from opposite sides of the tracks find a level field for a relationship, or will the truth behind the façades keep them apart?

                                                                 4.75 STARS

I Loved this book, I know it's not like my usual favorite books but there was just something about this story that I fell in love with.

Wyatt gets this dream job, but not is all that it seems to be so not only does he have penchant for getting into trouble and he wasn't the easiest character to love I found myself all wrapped up in his story. Bowen on the other hand most of the time I wanted to kick his ass at least till he pulls his head outta it. One thing we are taught in this book is people will do alot of things they never thought they would for money. I won't say this is a love story it's more about Wyatt and the decisions good and bad that he makes plus the rewards and consequences that come from said decisions.

I recommend I really liked Mr. Brock's writing style and the layout of this story.

                                                                                  4 STARS

Ok I gotta say this was probably the strangest book I have ever read, and don't take that in a bad way. I mean the storyline was really damn good and kept me reading till the end. But it wasn't what I was expecting it's not a love story not really I mean the Guardian Angel that Gale finds near the end does become the major love interest but there is so much that actually goes on way before we get to that point.

Gale is just plain effed up I mean the stuff he does and goes through half the time I was saying WTF? but Ms. Hauser writes so well that I had to keep reading there was no way I could stop even half way through. Most of the time I felt so bad for Gale because his life was so messed up that he didn't know how to even start to fix it. He also made me think he was kinda a doormat cause everybody just kept screwing him over and all he wanted was someone to love him for himself not what they could get from him.

I am recommending because like I said it's not really a love story but it was exciting and a little spooky which I liked.

                                                                             4 STARS

I gotta say the only reason this book didn't get a higher rating was the abrupt and unfinished feeling at the end, thats it I liked the storyline I didn't have a problem with the twins being involved it didn't feel creepy or anything and it was kinda fun with the twin swap but poor Drake it took him a awhile even though he felt like he was dating a guy with two different personalities. I really liked this story up until the end, it just didn't finish  I had too many questions left unanswered I hope theres another book coming to elaborate more for this story, like what made Jesse & Jay turn to each other? Is Drake gonna love them both? Where is it going from the end? I just needed more I think this storyline was a really good idea it just needs more, I will recommend but caution you will want more to this story.

Colby and the Little Wolf (Lost Shifters #17) by Stephani Hecht

Colby and the Little Wolf (Lost Shifters, #17)
Sometimes bigger isn’t necessarily better.

From the moment they met, there was an undeniable attraction between Colby and Tobias. Even though months had passed since they’d seen each other, the sparks haven’t dimmed one bit. When they finally met again, it was only natural that they end up horizontal on one of the coalition’s more popular conference tables.

Just as they are sure there is no doubt they are destined together, their older brothers intervene and tear them apart. Not because Colby is a Lion shifter. It’s not because Tobias is a Wolf shifter either. The reason for their split can be summed down to two words—they’re runts. And in the shifter world, runt equals weak and vulnerable. It’s only natural that their older siblings are overprotective.

The one thing that their brothers fail to see is that Colby and Tobias are determined to be together, even if that means defying their elders. Will everybody finally see how perfect Colby and his little Wolf are for each other? Or will the pair have to resort to drastic measures to have any kind of happiness?

                                           4.75 STARS

Although the books about Shane are my favorite in this series I gotta say this ones comes in a very close second this has to be the sweetest, cutest couple I have ever read about. I truly loved this book with both Colby & Tobias being the "runts" of their families they have had some severe traumas, life has not been easy for either one, they both have older brothers who think they are protecting them in their own ways, but in reality are making them feel worthless and failures.

Once they realize that they are mates, nothing can keep them apart, not even overbearing brothers. But trouble follows and choices have to be made, in pretty dramatic fashion "size doesn't matter" is brought into play and love over comes even the "smallest" situations. I truly loved this story it was an intense, beautiful, and even sexy love story, I hope to see more of Colby & Tobias. I also got the added bonus of Shane. I recommend

Absent-Minded Astrophysicist (A Mind is a Sexy Thing) by TN Tarrant

Absent-Minded Astrophysicist

Dr. Liam McGregor is a well respected astrophysicist, astrobiologist and geologist, and he's only twenty-three. With no family, few friends, and no romantic prospects, he's gotten used to being alone. Focusing on his various scientific projects, and taking care of his decidedly unusual cat help keep the loneliness at bay.

Jareth Manning is starting life over, a new town, new job, after the loss of his husband. The last thing he expected was for the most absentminded, and beautiful, man he'd ever seen to to take up residence in his heart. Nor did he expect to find himself a willingly humble slave to Her Imperial Highness, Empress the Cat. But Jareth has learned that love doesn't come around often, so when it does, hold onto it with both hands.

Jareth is willing to be patient, if Liam is willing to take the risk, after being badly burned before.

They just have to survive Liam's past returning

                                                                     4.5 STARS

I know you going to say this is right up my geek alley, and you wouldn't be wrong, I sincerely enjoyed this book. The slow build up of a relationship really made this book work for me, the drama seemed real and add in the Empress and I thought it was a lovely, funny, sexy story. Of course the geekiness works for me but Jareth has had his own issues and I really liked the way it was portrayed in a positive light.

Liam is just to cute for words, I loved how vulnerable he is yet extremely smart too with a heart of gold. Made me wonder how anyone could be mean to this adorable character. The way Jareth takes his time courting Liam instead of jumping into a relationship makes this a sweet, funny and sometimes sexy love story. The added drama surprised me but in a good way. Liam the clutzy little Astrophysicist and the Head of Security Jareth make a interesting couple but one I truly enjoyed reading about.

The storyline works very well for this love story and I will be looking for more books by this author. I recommend

Facing Fitz (The Whole A-Z #3) by Kim Dare

Facing Fitz (The Whole A-Z, #3)
It took Harvey months to gradually work up the courage to let his friends set him up on a date with Fitz - a dominant he'd been admiring from afar ever since he set foot on the local kinky clubs. But, when their first scene ended in disaster before it even got started, he was very quick to retreat.

Forget going back to the club where he made a fool of himself. Harvey's determined never to leave the house again. Facing Fitz is out of the question.

Fitz, however, has other ideas. Intrigued by what he saw on that first date he's determined to do a real scene with Harvey. Dominant to the core, Fitz has no intention of walking away from a boy he's genuinely interested in without a fight.

Harvey is going to have to get over his embarrassment and face Fitz sooner or later and, with the help of a few friends, Fitz is determined he’ll do that tonight

                                                                       4.5 STARS

I haven't read the previous stories in this series, but it didn't make a difference I didn't have any trouble following this story. Harvey really has some serious issues from panic attacks to claustrophobia, when his buddy makes him go to a charity fundraiser dressed as an Angel, he has no idea whats in store.

Fitz has wanted Harvey for his sub for awhile but everytime he gets near the little guy Harvey runs away. So his buddy has him dressed as a Devil at the same fundraiser, when he sees Harvey he makes up his mind he's gonna have the little guy for his own.

What made me really like this book was the way Fitz dealt with Harvey's issues and still this book was sexy as hell. The patience and care Fitz takes with Harvey made these two a believable sincere couple. I recommend

“Daddy” is not a title Rue Murray wanted, but he never thought he’d have sex with a woman either. Now he’s the unwitting father of a newborn named Alice. Between bartending and cosmetology school, Rue doesn’t have time for babies, but he can’t give her up. What Rue needs is a babysitter, and he’s running out of options. He’s on the verge of quitting school to watch Alice himself when he remembers his reclusive new neighbor, Erik.

Erik Van Nuys is a sci-fi novelist with anxiety issues to spare. He doesn’t like people in general, and he likes babies even less. Still, with his royalties dwindling, he could use the extra cash. Reluctantly, he takes on the role of manny—and even more reluctantly, he finds himself falling for Alice and her flamboyant father.

Rue and Erik are as different as two people can be, and Alice is the unlikeliest of babies, but Rue has never been happier than when Alice and Erik are by his side. At least, not until he receives an offer that puts all his dreams within reach and he’s forced to choose: the future he’s always wanted, or the family he thought he never did

                                                                  5 STARS

When I read a book that not only entertains me but inspires me too I consider it an excellent read, One Small Thing is an excellent read! I can't tell you anything that I didn't like about it, nothing which for me is really something.

Rue has one crazy moment and ends up a father, but to watch his struggles and desperation was honestly like a flash back as parents we have all struggled with familiar situations I know I have. But he refuses to give up and thats what makes him special, Alice is adorable and told in a way where she wasn't just a prop setting LOVED IT!

Erik he's a geeky, smart guy whose obsessed with Star Wars (who isn't) and loves writing Science Fiction books. When his editor calls and wants him to turn his latest novel into a gay romance, he doesn't know where to start ( loved his research) so he helps out his neighbor Rue with babysitting Alice. I loved the slow build with these two, even the jealousy was well written and adorable and GOD I LOVED UNCLE DUSTPAN! please oh please write him a story he had to be my favorite character I just wanted to hold him he's soo cute.

The collaboration of MJ O'Shea & Piper Vaughn have produced some wonderful stories so far although One Small Thing is my favorite I can't wait to read more by these wonderful Authors. I recommend
