Soul Bonds (Common Powers #1) by Lynn Lorenz
Mitchell Collins is the king of denial. Five years after the death of his lover, Steve, he finds himself in a gay bar, wondering why he's even there. He has a rule he won't break: Don't take anyone home.
Sammi's trying to survive on the streets of Houston. It's not easy for someone with no money, no identity, and no friends. When Mitch meets Sammi, all thoughts of "safe" go flying out the window. He takes him home for the best sex of his life, not knowing that Sammi's a sex slave on the run from a man who'll do anything to get him back
2 STARS
I'm sorry to say but I did not like this story, I'm not sure if it just seemed that Mitchell & Sammi's relationship was so rushed or if the story just didn't work for me but I really couldn't get into this story. The crap that Mitchell seems to go through for Sammi sucked then it felt like Sammi just took off without thinking of what his partner would go through made me not like his character at all. I also didn't feel any chemistry between Mitchell & Sammi even with the paranormal aspect although I did like the character of Brian and I will probably buy his story if it's been written. I just seriously couldn't get into Sammi & Mitchell's story. I may read it again to see if that helps but as of right now I don't recommend.
Family Unit by Z.A. Maxfield
A retired marine, Logan is methodical and conservative. Richard is a liberal pacifist who is pathologically afraid of guns. Yet the minute Logan sets eyes on Richard, his heart turns over like an old car engine and it isn't long before his motor is revved and Richard is in the driver's seat—even if it seems like each man is driving a different car.
Richard Hunter is parenting his grandson, and the kid—Nick—has had it rough. Richard vows nothing will stop him from creating a loving and stable home. Not even a tempting, red-hot relationship with a very attractive man. However, when Richard looks into Logan’s blue eyes it’s tough to stay focused.
It’s never easy to become a family, what with a temperamental eight-year-old, disapproving outsiders, and outright extortion attempts. But when push comes to shove, both Logan and Richard are committed family men who want to make a loving home for a little boy who needs them.
4.5 STARS
I really thought this book was just adorable, Richard was such a sweet character and I really enjoyed that Nick the grandson was not just a prop but we actually got some insight into his character as well. Logan was my favorite however the retired Marine who everyone calls the crazy soldier guy which happened to be hilarious and the tampon this had me ROFL. Anyway the only problem I had with this story was I wanted to know what happened to Nicks mom after the camping, I wouldn't mind getting another story about this couple I really enjoyed this story it made me laugh, cry and the sex scenes were awesome. I also really liked how it showed some homophobia but not enough to take away from the love story, which I sincerely enjoyed, the differences between Rick & Logan were real issues and I loved how they worked on those issues. I loved this story so I recommend.
His True Nature by Silvia Violet
After being shunned by his family for coming out, the dark haired guy buys a camper and moves out to a campground to get away from it all. Moving from the suburbs to the woods hasn’t been an easy adjustment, but that all changes when he quickly becomes friends with the hot, tattooed and supposedly straight grounds keeper. The dark haired guy’s survival skills are seriously lacking and his sexy new friend finds that quite humorous. It turns out that both of them have skills worth sharing with each other. Their relationship brings loads of sexual tension. They must have a HEA with no cheating and I'd love a beautiful sex scene, please.

This was a fun, kinda cute story it's a short that went in the Love is Always Write anthology from Goodreads. Anyway it was an an adorable story that I would have liked to read more about Dan and his clumsiness and Parker saving the day, like I said it's a cute story that had an potential to be more. I recommend
Learning the Ropes (Sex Sells #3) by Kim Dare
Working for a company whose slogan is 'Sex sells and we’re very good at sex' isn't easy for a man with an apparently inexhaustible ability to blush. Things only get more embarrassing for Floyd when he's sent to construct an advertising campaign for a BDSM club.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the owner of the club is Peter Ingram, the silent partner in SKIN designs, which technically makes him Floyd's boss. If he screws this up, Floyd's going to be looking for a new job. His only option is to set aside his embarrassment and throw himself into learning everything there is to know about leather.
But when Peter agrees to teach Floyd what submission really means, suddenly it's not only his job that's at risk
4 STARS
This is a series that I started reading with book two, purely accidental and decided I really liked. It's a look at how Floyd becomes interested in the BDSM scene, but has to work through his own issues with thinking of his embarrassment. Floyd decides to understand more for his "advertising job" he needs Peter to literally show him the ropes, he just has to work through his fear and try to keep from falling in love with Peter. I think we get more of how Floyds character feels and reacts than Peter but it's a sexy, somewhat intense story that I enjoyed reading. It's a short story but I got the gist of what was trying to be said without the words needing to be there. I recommend

By the Balls (Handcuffs and Lace #21) by Mia Watts
Detective Trick
Montgomery is pissed. After three years of intensive undercover work
within a mob syndicate, some chump-changed baby-Fed’s promotion requires
that he break cover. Why? Because they need information, and the kid
needs to prove his worth by bringing in a wise-guy, even if Trick isn’t
actually a mobster. So it only makes sense that he’d do a little recon
to find out what’s what. A clutch of Feds at a bar, a back-hall fuck for
information, what harm would it cause, right?
Wrong, because Murphy’s Law is twisted like that. His back-hall fuck, one Agent Nathan Rohn, turns out to be the one all his problems are pinned on. And now Trick has a new problem to add: he wants to go another round with the sexy suit, yet one look into those big brown eyes and Trick just might lose his heart. He knows what he wants, but the choices aren’t always his. So, fend for himself or fuck a Fed? Either choice has him by the balls.
4.75 STARS
Outta the Handcuffs & Lace books that I have read this is my favorite one, I loved the story line we got to know each character, plus we get this intense chemistry between Trick & Nathan. Nathan seems like he's carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, he's learning how to lead an investigation, make his father happy and keep from falling in love with the guy he's just arrested as a mob criminal. What's a guy to do?
Trick Montgomery on the other hand is an undercover Detective but he can't tell Nathan that since he's also supposed to evaluate Nate's performance too. What he doesn't expect is to fall head over heels for the FBI Agent.
It's a fun, exciting and sexy ride to Quanico but I loved it. I would love to read more about this couple. I highly recommend

Altered States by L.E. Harner & Laura Harner
This son of a bitch has
been underneath my skin ever since he transferred into the department.
Word has it that he's one of the best damn homicide detectives in the
city, but the fact of the matter is that he's a Grade A arrogant
asshole. Pretty much every time he opens his mouth, I want to slug him –
or stick my tongue down his throat, I'm not always really sure which,
or even if I want to choose one. My libido doesn't seem to give a
tinker's damn that I'm pretty sure he's straight, and while jerking off
in the shower is starting to get pretty damn old, I foresee a lot more
of it in my future – because the Chief just paired us up to work a new
case…

I Loved this story, it was funny as hell but serious and sweet at the same time, even incredibly sad too. I will tell you this I soo did not see that ending coming which just made me want to read more, and I gotta wonder if Sam will be in the next one since this was more his story. I found it exciting though I didn't feel the chemistry between Sam & Travis there was diffidently lust. And Travis I really want to get to know more, his cocky, confident attitude I really liked I can't wait to see how he deals with this next situation in his life. I Highly Recommend

Sex slave to an alien culture...
Lt. Auri finds his job aboard the diplomatic cruiser both frustrating and exhausting, but he's determined to prove himself to his new captain. Despite the diplomatic importance of their mission, Auri is wary of the catlike Felinians, who have a reputation for enjoying human company, willing or not. But when he's ordered to witness the signing of the trade papers with the Felininans, Auri never imagines that he's about to be betrayed.
Sold into an alien culture, Auri finds himself the newest man in the Felinian leader's erotic harem. Kanar claims him as his "mate," but Auri longs for freedom. Though his feelings for Kanar begin to grow, Auri stubbornly refuses the Felininan and the other men of his harem, leading to loneliness and grief. But how can he open himself up to his captor, and to the love of more than one partner?

I have to say I didn't like this book, one the whole being sold as a sex slave by your own country or world as it is just sucked. Then two trying to not only fit in but make yourself more accepting to being one of four mates for the person you have feelings for. As a human Auri struggles with not feeling jealous and still work out how he's feeling about now being a mate to Kanar. On top of that there's a rape which I really didn't see how that worked for this story I mean there was enough drama that I didn't see why it was necessary. It didn't help this story I felt it made it hard for me to continue reading it. I did finish this story but I will be honest and say I didn't like it at all. It just went to places that made me uncomfortable and left me with a lot of unanswered questions with some serious confusion. The descriptions of the Felininans made me think of an old movie with Jeff Goldblum in it "Earth Girls are Easy" which did make me laugh because I couldn't keep from picturing the aliens. I don't recommend it's diffidently not for the faint of heart.
