The General's Lover (Assassin / Shifter) by Sandrine Gasq-Dion
Book Seven
Special Agent James Pruitt as been in love with one man for years, the gorgeous - and possibly straight - General Derek Jacobs. All he wants is for Derek to return his love, but the general's career comes first and he keeps an emotional distance. When Derek asks James to go on vacation with him, it seems that the dream is about to come true.
Bad-ass General Derek Jacobs is finally ready to retire from the Army and run his Skull Blaster sniper team full time. He's also finally ready to take the only man he's ever loved and make him his.
But true love never does run smoothly and both men are tested along the way. Will years of longing finally be fulfilled? Or will their chance at love pass them by?
This book contains explicit sexual situations, graphic language, and material that some readers may find objectionable: male/male sexual practices, violence.
5 STARS
I have to say that this is one of my favorite books that I have read so far this year, it's also one of my top favorite series' too. For me this series is so exciting because it's not only all about shifters and their mates but also human assassin's and military guys so you get such an interesting and fascinating combination of relationships.
This story is about my favorite couple James & Derek, we've gotten a glimpse of each of their characters in previous books so I have been waiting for their story for awhile. This story is action packed, with some major Scorching HOT sex scenes (sorry inner perv had to sneak that in) and an intense love story that in my opinion is epic. The action story line not only introduces some new and clearly exciting characters but also we get the couples from previous books which ties it all together so nicely. I'm so in love with Riley!
James' character is awesome, he's a tough guy but not afraid to show his feelings and he's been in love with the General for years. But Derek's far in the closet because of his career. So things start to go insane when the General decides to retire right when James gets himself kidnapped by terrorists and Derek wonders if he's lost the man he's been in love with for years before he's even kissed him. There are some absolutely hilarious moments in this story that had me rolling on the floor, and did I mention the sex, yeah I don't think I'll be able to look at my desk again and not think of this story...smirking....throw in some serious issues and some serious on the edge of your seat action and you get a story that ROCKS!
I loved this story, but then again I truly truly love this whole series. I feel as if I know these characters so you can imagine how much I'm bouncing off walls waiting on the next book in this series. They're entertaining and exciting and I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Training Michael (Brats In Training #4) by Lynn Hagen
Michael Grafton was a temptation sent to drive PJ crazy. He just knew it. The man was a Dom through and through, Michael just didn't seem to know it. When Michael finally asks PJ out, PJ is thrilled down to his toes. He wants to be dominated by Michael. He needs it. He wants a Dom that can rein him in and give him boundaries. He thinks Michael is the answer to all of his prayers. There's only one problem.
Michael has never dominated anyone before.
When PJ goes totally bratty and pushes all of Michael's buttons, Michael does the only thing he can do. He calls in his friends for some help in punishing his new sub. What started out as a night doomed to failure turns into a dream neither Michael or PJ can believe is true. When someone tries to come between them, will PJ believe in his Dom or revert to his bratty ways? And will Michael be able to stop him?
4 STARS
Training Michael is a story about training a Dom, which is a different take on the D/s relationships in this series. I liked the change up, instead of the Sub being trained, Michael's friends end up helping. I gotta say that was a strange way to meet your best friends partner LOL. I really wouldn't mind seeing more of each of these couples I truly enjoyed them all. This one was funny but had some emotional drama that surprised me but was a joy to read. I recommend

Three Fates by Andrew Grey, Mary Calmes, Amy Lane
For time immemorial, the goddesses of fate have decided which human threads will shine and which will be cut short. But even the fates have off days.
Fate Delivers a Prince by Andrew Grey
Finding love shouldn’t be that difficult for a diplomat’s son, except Cheyenne is part of a grand tradition of werewolves, and a werewolf with a skin condition needs more help than most mortals. When Chay meets the prince of his dreams, it takes Clotho’s intervention to keep him from letting go.
Jump by Mary Calmes
When two lovers die, their threads of life are collected instead of scattered, as one of them was the brother of a god. Can the fates reunite two lovers whose threads should have twined together for eternity? Or will Cassidy allow Raza’s interest to pass his pale, mortal self by?
Believed You Were Lucky by Amy Lane
The gods’ meddling isn’t always welcome. It’s given Lief good luck but poor fortune, and Hacon a family curse he’s lived in fear of all his life. But when Lief’s good luck saves Hake’s life, Hake has to reevaluate everything he’s ever believed about luck, life, and love.
5 STARS
Now this was a rare find for me, that I would give all three stories a 5 star rating was amazing, but each story peaked my interest to the point I couldn't put it down nor did I want too. Fate Delivers a Prince was very funny but even being kinda short told a sweet love story that had some intense issues in it. The relationship between the two MC's didn't feel rushed even though it was a fast courtship, it was funny with the whole Diplomat family thing, and even Chay's skin condition although I wanted to scratch right along with him LOL. I really enjoyed this story.
Jump was a more intense emotional story that had me in tears some but not really angsty either, and there was such a beautifully sweet love story told in a way only Ms. Calmes can tell it. This was one of her stories that made me remember why she's one of my top favorite authors, I will say this story is more intense but wonderfully written, it did involve the Fates a little more so we get a more Mythological scenario which I personally enjoyed immensely. I seriously enjoyed this story
Believed You were Lucky was a surprise because it was more like two stories in one, of course it's so well written that you never get that feeling, it's all very seamless and beautiful. I can't say which part of this story I liked the best but the part with Loki & Thor is probably my favorite (can you guess why?) I found it very inspiring that Lief believes so strongly in his luck but it also made me think about how blessed or lucky we all are even when horrible things happen to us. Yes this story made me think about my own blessings in life, which was great because I think sometimes we all need a reminder. The Fates play a huge part in this one and we got more Mythology in this story too. I Highly enjoyed this story
If you want an entertaining Highly enjoyable exciting love story written by three amazing authors, you need to read this anthology. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Tinsel and Frost by Eden Winters
The last time Tony danced, he wore the spangles and tights of the Nutcracker’s Prince and the audience threw roses at the stage. One career-ending accident later, he’s dancing again, and he’s not proud of hoping that the audience will reward him with twenties.
Frost, the big, pale bouncer, has reasons of his own for keeping a watchful eye on Tony. He keeps his distance, too, until he has to bounce an aggressive customer who takes things with Tony too far. They have a short, shared walk home but a huge divide between their lives. Do Tony and Frost have more in common than they believe?
3.75 STARS
This was a sweet adorable story that I enjoyed Tony went from a ballet dancer to stripper all because of a car wreck, but he keeps his spirits high then he meets Frost a bouncer where he works and the story becomes about these two and how they become a couple. It's not very long but was a great bedtime read for me Loved it! I recommend

Let the Rain Come Down (Moonlight Breed #6) by Gabrielle Evans
After spending a decade of doing exactly what he’s told and having every minute of his life choreographed for him, Oscar has no idea what to do now that he’s free. Keeping him and his friends hidden from people who want to hurt them is top priority, but he can’t help wanting something more for himself.
Neither completely man nor animal, but somewhere between, Demitrius Accola has lived his life as an outcast, enduring the fear and judgment of others because of his appearance. Assigned to protect the new Moonlighters in Haven, he never thought he’d find his mate. Nor did he expect that the little shifter would be completely unafraid of him.
When the past Oscar is trying to outrun finally catches up with him, there’s no question of how far Demitrius will go to protect his mate. It’s only a question of if it will be enough.
4.5 STARS
The Moonlight Breed series was the first series I started to read by Ms. Evans and I fell for it quickly, I soon followed with her other books till now where I don't even read the blurb, I just pre order automatically. I love to do that, where I have enough faith in an author and they have earned my trust, that any book they write I will enjoy. I have been told that my list is too long but what most don't know is I started reading at age 5 and yes my first novel I read was "Carrie" by Stephen King. Yes I had a strange but wonderful childhood and I do mean strange. But as I got older I have read most everything and I am picky, up until 2 yrs ago I only read m/f novels be it fantasy, science fiction, contemporary, etc I have read it all, but could count the authors that I loved on both hands even though I would buy 10 different authors a week to read I never found many that kept my interest even in their series (and i have OCD remember). I was so desperate to read that I was like a kid in a candy store in any book store. They were very very few, I always felt I was reading the same story over and over again. So imagine my surprise when I fell into reading m/m romance, not only are their dozens of authors that I adore but I'm constantly finding more. I don't even read anything other than m/m because not only do these stories seem to relax me but I'm finding that yes, it's harder to write m/m so maybe thats why the stories are so much better. Not that all of the stories are excellent but I am finding more authors that I can trust to take me on a journey be it love, mystery, fantasy or contemporary. Yeah I know not every author I adore can or will write an excellent book but that's ok even if the story doesn't work for me usually it still entertained me and that's what I as a reader am looking for. I now spend those major dollars buying books in the m/m genre where I feel confident that I will enjoy a story and not want to throw the book after reading half of it like before. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with reading m/f at all I enjoy a story now and then so don't start to sharpening your stakes for me yet. This is just what works for me I just from personal experience have found more authors that write stories in this genre that I enjoy. And as a reader I want to shall we say spread the joy, that's why I do this I buy my books on other reviewer's opinions or on the authors name alone and alot of the times on a blurb that just peaks my interest. Plain and simple I love to read that's my joy and my peace of mind, so now I'll get off my rant (yes I really do have ADD too) and we'll continue on to this review
Oscar is a Hedgehog shifter which I frickin' loved I mean he's so damn cute you know and Demitruis is always in between his shifted form and his human side. I really liked the way their issues were addressed and dealt with. And the way their love story is played out, the action side was exciting and I love how we get to see characters from previous stories that I enjoyed, kinda brings it all together. I recommend

4.75 STARS
This story was a surprising joy for me, I had read another reviewer's um review and thought that just flat out sounds interesting so i went and bought it. I'm so glad I did this story gave me exactly what I wanted lot's of laughter, extremely Hot sex, deep emotional struggles without it being too angsty and an adorable couple that I just fell in love with.
Randy is just the sweetest character, while on a business trip to Vegas he meets Garrett and ends up spending the weekend with him. Since that's not like Randy at all we get a sense of how strong this love could be, even the heart breaking race to the airport when Randy has to leave shows how strong his character really is. Garrett is a fun loving playboy of sorts but one weekend with Randy who isn't after Garretts money or what he can by him, wakes Garrett up to what could be. Although fate intervenes and these two need to decide what they really want, with some very fun and exciting Valentines day gifts, we get the chance to see if it possible for two completely different people to fall in love.
I will be honest this story stood so well on it's own that I forgot about the Cupid's part in it, so when all is revealed I loved the way that it played out and I love the fact that it ending with maybe another story for Garrett's friend let's hope. I Highly Recommend.

4.75 STARS
Dangerous Dusty is my favorite book so far in this series, I absolutely love Dusty, I swear he reminded me of my oldest daughter whose majorly klutzy too. And I loved the chemistry between Alex & Dusty right from the start the intense start to their relationship was not only funny as hell but sweet too and wouldn't mind reading more about this couple they got under my skin very quickly and haven't left. I enjoyed this type of D/s relationship it becomes so sweet and loving and the fact that the characters from previous books make an appearance is wonderful, besides the sex is SCORCHING!!! I Highly Recommend
