Tailor Made by James Brock

Escaping life on a farm, sexy Wyatt Taylor runs to the nearest city after college where he finds and loses both love and employment. Down but not out, the handsome young man rebounds by landing the coveted position as assistant to powerful Portland, Oregon, business tycoon, William Bowen. Cold and precise, the mogul has a rarified life of privilege that leaves no room for error.

Thrust into a world of jet set travel and caviar, Wyatt is given little direction about his new career and is fitted with a designer wardrobe. Clothes may not make the man, but Wyatt loves the beautifully tailored suits, wearing them like modern armor without realizing a connection between the way he looks in his new work “uniform” and Bowen’s clients.

Aside from being handsome, William Bowen has everything: an estate, private plane, and clients worldwide. Only his taste in men is questionable. His astoundingly poor judgment in that area confuses everyone around him, including his flippant, funny, and in-charge property manager who befriends Wyatt but has his own reason for not telling all of the secrets of Bowen Industries.

A sudden change in Wyatt’s personal life while on a business trip is followed by a bonding night for Wyatt and William Bowen, the long simmering feelings Wyatt has held toward the boss since the day of his interview nearing a boiling point. Wyatt is still blissfully unaware of his true role in the operation of Bowen Industries, however.

Can two men from opposite sides of the tracks find a level field for a relationship, or will the truth behind the façades keep them apart?

I Loved this book, I know it's not like my usual favorite books but there was just something about this story that I fell in love with.

Wyatt gets this dream job, but not is all that it seems to be so not only does he have penchant for getting into trouble and he wasn't the easiest character to love I found myself all wrapped up in his story. Bowen on the other hand most of the time I wanted to kick his ass at least till he pulls his head outta it. One thing we are taught in this book is people will do alot of things they never thought they would for money. I won't say this is a love story it's more about Wyatt and the decisions good and bad that he makes plus the rewards and consequences that come from said decisions.

I recommend I really liked Mr. Brock's writing style and the layout of this story.

Black Leather Phoenix by G.A. Hauser

Black Leather Phoenix

Ok I gotta say this was probably the strangest book I have ever read, and don't take that in a bad way. I mean the storyline was really damn good and kept me reading till the end. But it wasn't what I was expecting it's not a love story not really I mean the Guardian Angel that Gale finds near the end does become the major love interest but there is so much that actually goes on way before we get to that point.

Gale is just plain effed up I mean the stuff he does and goes through half the time I was saying WTF? but Ms. Hauser writes so well that I had to keep reading there was no way I could stop even half way through. Most of the time I felt so bad for Gale because his life was so messed up that he didn't know how to even start to fix it. He also made me think he was kinda a doormat cause everybody just kept screwing him over and all he wanted was someone to love him for himself not what they could get from him.

I am recommending because like I said it's not really a love story but it was exciting and a little spooky which I liked.

Trapping Drake
Drake Fallon's impulsive decision to stop and help a stranger change a tire leads to intriguing possibilities. What he doesn’t know is that there are two J. Cahills.

Drake is intrigued by the vulnerable man he met in the downpour. Though Jesse claims to be involved, Drake is certain the relationship can't be fulfilling or Jesse wouldn't have returned his kiss with such passion.

Jay Cahill is devastated when his lover whispers another man's name in his dreams. When Drake calls, how can Jay resist meeting the man who's crept into his twin's dreams?

                                                                             4 STARS

I gotta say the only reason this book didn't get a higher rating was the abrupt and unfinished feeling at the end, thats it I liked the storyline I didn't have a problem with the twins being involved it didn't feel creepy or anything and it was kinda fun with the twin swap but poor Drake it took him a awhile even though he felt like he was dating a guy with two different personalities. I really liked this story up until the end, it just didn't finish  I had too many questions left unanswered I hope theres another book coming to elaborate more for this story, like what made Jesse & Jay turn to each other? Is Drake gonna love them both? Where is it going from the end? I just needed more I think this storyline was a really good idea it just needs more, I will recommend but caution you will want more to this story.

Colby and the Little Wolf (Lost Shifters #17) by Stephani Hecht

Colby and the Little Wolf (Lost Shifters, #17)
Sometimes bigger isn’t necessarily better.

From the moment they met, there was an undeniable attraction between Colby and Tobias. Even though months had passed since they’d seen each other, the sparks haven’t dimmed one bit. When they finally met again, it was only natural that they end up horizontal on one of the coalition’s more popular conference tables.

Just as they are sure there is no doubt they are destined together, their older brothers intervene and tear them apart. Not because Colby is a Lion shifter. It’s not because Tobias is a Wolf shifter either. The reason for their split can be summed down to two words—they’re runts. And in the shifter world, runt equals weak and vulnerable. It’s only natural that their older siblings are overprotective.

The one thing that their brothers fail to see is that Colby and Tobias are determined to be together, even if that means defying their elders. Will everybody finally see how perfect Colby and his little Wolf are for each other? Or will the pair have to resort to drastic measures to have any kind of happiness?

Although the books about Shane are my favorite in this series I gotta say this ones comes in a very close second this has to be the sweetest, cutest couple I have ever read about. I truly loved this book with both Colby & Tobias being the "runts" of their families they have had some severe traumas, life has not been easy for either one, they both have older brothers who think they are protecting them in their own ways, but in reality are making them feel worthless and failures.

Once they realize that they are mates, nothing can keep them apart, not even overbearing brothers. But trouble follows and choices have to be made, in pretty dramatic fashion "size doesn't matter" is brought into play and love over comes even the "smallest" situations. I truly loved this story it was an intense, beautiful, and even sexy love story, I hope to see more of Colby & Tobias. I also got the added bonus of Shane. I recommend

Absent-Minded Astrophysicist (A Mind is a Sexy Thing) by TN Tarrant

Absent-Minded Astrophysicist

Dr. Liam McGregor is a well respected astrophysicist, astrobiologist and geologist, and he's only twenty-three. With no family, few friends, and no romantic prospects, he's gotten used to being alone. Focusing on his various scientific projects, and taking care of his decidedly unusual cat help keep the loneliness at bay.

Jareth Manning is starting life over, a new town, new job, after the loss of his husband. The last thing he expected was for the most absentminded, and beautiful, man he'd ever seen to to take up residence in his heart. Nor did he expect to find himself a willingly humble slave to Her Imperial Highness, Empress the Cat. But Jareth has learned that love doesn't come around often, so when it does, hold onto it with both hands.

Jareth is willing to be patient, if Liam is willing to take the risk, after being badly burned before.

They just have to survive Liam's past returning

                                                                     4.5 STARS

I know you going to say this is right up my geek alley, and you wouldn't be wrong, I sincerely enjoyed this book. The slow build up of a relationship really made this book work for me, the drama seemed real and add in the Empress and I thought it was a lovely, funny, sexy story. Of course the geekiness works for me but Jareth has had his own issues and I really liked the way it was portrayed in a positive light.

Liam is just to cute for words, I loved how vulnerable he is yet extremely smart too with a heart of gold. Made me wonder how anyone could be mean to this adorable character. The way Jareth takes his time courting Liam instead of jumping into a relationship makes this a sweet, funny and sometimes sexy love story. The added drama surprised me but in a good way. Liam the clutzy little Astrophysicist and the Head of Security Jareth make a interesting couple but one I truly enjoyed reading about.

The storyline works very well for this love story and I will be looking for more books by this author. I recommend

Facing Fitz (The Whole A-Z #3) by Kim Dare

Facing Fitz (The Whole A-Z, #3)
It took Harvey months to gradually work up the courage to let his friends set him up on a date with Fitz - a dominant he'd been admiring from afar ever since he set foot on the local kinky clubs. But, when their first scene ended in disaster before it even got started, he was very quick to retreat.

Forget going back to the club where he made a fool of himself. Harvey's determined never to leave the house again. Facing Fitz is out of the question.

Fitz, however, has other ideas. Intrigued by what he saw on that first date he's determined to do a real scene with Harvey. Dominant to the core, Fitz has no intention of walking away from a boy he's genuinely interested in without a fight.

Harvey is going to have to get over his embarrassment and face Fitz sooner or later and, with the help of a few friends, Fitz is determined he’ll do that tonight

                                                                       4.5 STARS

I haven't read the previous stories in this series, but it didn't make a difference I didn't have any trouble following this story. Harvey really has some serious issues from panic attacks to claustrophobia, when his buddy makes him go to a charity fundraiser dressed as an Angel, he has no idea whats in store.

Fitz has wanted Harvey for his sub for awhile but everytime he gets near the little guy Harvey runs away. So his buddy has him dressed as a Devil at the same fundraiser, when he sees Harvey he makes up his mind he's gonna have the little guy for his own.

What made me really like this book was the way Fitz dealt with Harvey's issues and still this book was sexy as hell. The patience and care Fitz takes with Harvey made these two a believable sincere couple. I recommend

One Small Thing (One Thing #1) by Piper Vaughn & MJ O'Shea

One Small Thing
“Daddy” is not a title Rue Murray wanted, but he never thought he’d have sex with a woman either. Now he’s the unwitting father of a newborn named Alice. Between bartending and cosmetology school, Rue doesn’t have time for babies, but he can’t give her up. What Rue needs is a babysitter, and he’s running out of options. He’s on the verge of quitting school to watch Alice himself when he remembers his reclusive new neighbor, Erik.

Erik Van Nuys is a sci-fi novelist with anxiety issues to spare. He doesn’t like people in general, and he likes babies even less. Still, with his royalties dwindling, he could use the extra cash. Reluctantly, he takes on the role of manny—and even more reluctantly, he finds himself falling for Alice and her flamboyant father.

Rue and Erik are as different as two people can be, and Alice is the unlikeliest of babies, but Rue has never been happier than when Alice and Erik are by his side. At least, not until he receives an offer that puts all his dreams within reach and he’s forced to choose: the future he’s always wanted, or the family he thought he never did

                                                                  5 STARS

When I read a book that not only entertains me but inspires me too I consider it an excellent read, One Small Thing is an excellent read! I can't tell you anything that I didn't like about it, nothing which for me is really something.

Rue has one crazy moment and ends up a father, but to watch his struggles and desperation was honestly like a flash back as parents we have all struggled with familiar situations I know I have. But he refuses to give up and thats what makes him special, Alice is adorable and told in a way where she wasn't just a prop setting LOVED IT!

Erik he's a geeky, smart guy whose obsessed with Star Wars (who isn't) and loves writing Science Fiction books. When his editor calls and wants him to turn his latest novel into a gay romance, he doesn't know where to start ( loved his research) so he helps out his neighbor Rue with babysitting Alice. I loved the slow build with these two, even the jealousy was well written and adorable and GOD I LOVED UNCLE DUSTPAN! please oh please write him a story he had to be my favorite character I just wanted to hold him he's soo cute.

The collaboration of MJ O'Shea & Piper Vaughn have produced some wonderful stories so far although One Small Thing is my favorite I can't wait to read more by these wonderful Authors. I recommend
