Can Taggart recover after being drugged for years, and will Dewey ever truly accept the Betas

                                                                   4.5 STARS

In book 5 of the Resistant Omegas we have Dewey who is the Omega but he's already in love with Taggart whom is an Alpha but is being drugged by the horrible alpha thats in place now. So Dewey contacts the Omega rescue organization and Carter & Tristan are to the rescue.

I really like this series because it's got some intense issues that not only does the Omega in question have to overcome but the inner circle as well. Which consists of two Beta's and an Alpha who have to not only mate with the omega but each other as well. It's an interesting twist on the mate type storyline and had me hooked on the first story, there's intense emotions, laughter, and yes some tears but so far they are really well written and I keep wanting more stories.

This one was interesting because it's not only Dewey who has to work through his issues but Taggart as well. The drugs in his system have left their mark so to speak. I will say the ending cracked my ass up but made me very hopeful for more books in this series I Recommend this one but if you haven't read this series please do you will enjoy it I know I did.

The Isle of...Where? by Sue Brown

The Isle of...Where?
When Liam Marshall’s best friend, Alex, loses his fight with colon cancer, he leaves Liam one final request: buy a ticket to Ryde, on the Isle of Wight, and scatter Alex’s ashes off the pier. Liam is tired, worn out, and in desperate need of a vacation, but instead of sun, sea, sand, and hot cabana boys, he gets a rickety old train, revolting kids, and no Ewan MacGregor.

Liam would have done anything for his friend, but fulfilling Alex’s final wish means letting go off the only family Liam had left. Lost, he freezes on the pier… until Sam Owens comes to his rescue.

Sam’s family has vacationed on the Isle of Wight every year for as long as he can remember, but he’s never met anyone like Liam. Determined to make Liam’s vacation one to remember, Sam looks after him—in and out of the bedroom. He even introduces Liam to his entire family. But as Sam helps Liam let go, he’s forced to admit that he wants Liam to hang on—not to his old life, but to Sam and what they have together

                                                   4.75 STARS

This is my first Sue Brown book, mainly because I had heard that her books never have a happy ending HUH? Boy I wish I hadn't listened this story was awesome! I know not every story can have a HEA but I kinda like if they at least have a HFN. So I put off buying a Ms. Brown book but the blurb on this one wouldn't let me pass it by, and I am soo glad I didn't. The story between Liam & Sam is beautiful it's intense but absolutely beautiful. I laughed (Sam's driving) I cried (a few times actually) and Damn is it Hot! too.

I have been told that I'm not as in depth as other reviewer's...shrugs shoulders...but I don't think you need to rehash the whole story just to recommend it. I hate giving away too much it takes away the joy of reading it for myself, that's how I feel anyway. So Liam is sent to The Isle of Wight to spread his best friends ashes, whom he had taken care of as Alex's was fighting cancer. One this was a beautiful friend relationship to start with, and I would hope everyone of us would love someone enough to be there be it family friend or lover.
So Liam's off to finish his task where he struggles to let go then along comes Sam who not only sweeps him off his feet but takes care of him also which is something Liam needs badly.

Sam was adorable, wanting to help a stranger then falling in love with Liam, the love story is sweet but emotional not too angsty but intense. The whole Liam going home scene about killed me it was heart wrenching but beautiful, but the story after that I have to say makes me want to read more from this author. I enjoyed this book even though both Liam & Sam have a few issues to work through it was a sweet love story that needs to be read. I Recommend.

Posthaste (Pushing the Envelope #11).by Kim Dare

Posthaste (Pushing the Envelope #11).

Scott’s never been the most confident of men. When he gets scared by something, running away has always seemed like a pretty good option. The latest letter he hands Joe is by far the hardest he’s had to write. Knowing what will happen when Joe reads it terrifies him.

Will Scott have the courage to hand it over? Will Joe be able to calm his submissive’s panic? Or, maybe Scott’s not the only one who’ll be scared once the content of the letter is out in the open…

                                                          5 STARS

This one of my favorite series that I'm reading and so far each story has gotten better and better. This installment was intense I mean I want to smack Scott upside the head he just doesn't get how Joe really feels about him, and neither one will tell the other their feelings it's almost funny how their both walking on eggshells with each other. Even after everything that these two have been through.
I will say that I can't wait for the next one I'm very invested in this couple, Scott & Joe are Hot as Hell together but you can see the intense emotions in the scenes that they do.  Scott's panic in this one terrified me because I really like them together let's hope that Joe will be the Dom that I know he is and take control before Scott falls apart! I Highly Recommend

Little Squirrels Can Climb Tall Trees by Michael Murphy

Little Squirrels Can Climb Tall Trees
Kyle Miller is a rare breed. Though born to conservative parents and raised in small-town Oklahoma, Kyle realized young that he had to escape rural America. Now he’s living in New York City, working as an ER doctor, and paying off his massive student loans. He’s never been on a plane and never seen a movie, but he is worldly enough to recognize attraction when it smacks him in the forehead. Not that he knows how he managed to crack heads with Joseph, who’s a good foot shorter than Kyle’s six and a half feet.

Joseph is Kyle’s polar opposite in other ways too, well-off where Kyle is poor, and self-assured while Kyle is insecure. He’s also determined to show Kyle what a great guy he is and bring the confidence Kyle shows in the ER out in his everyday life. But Kyle’s hectic work schedule and inexperience with relationships won’t make for an easy romance

                                                              4.75 STARS

This was an absolutely amazing book to read, it's funny, sexy as hell and just plain beautiful. I actually was surprised that the POV is from Joseph not Kyle, reading the blurb I guess made me think it would be Kyle's or something. But I gotta say the whole beginning gym scene, I swear I laughed so fricking hard I was in tears. Poor Joe I mean seriously whats he to do but stare LOL. LOVED IT!

I easily got hooked on this story, just the title alone made me want to read it, and I am so glad I did. The journey that Joe & Kyle take to even become a couple was wonderful, even the stresses and issues worked for me in this book. Even the issues with their schedules were made interesting, and it's not all drama but also a really sweet romantic story. Joe was flat out hilarious & Kyle was sweet as can be, I wouldn't mind reading more of this couple. I Highly Recommend.

Cost of Repairs by A.M. Arthur

Cost of Repairs
"Fixing the home can heal the heart-if you can find all the pieces. "

Police officer Samuel Briggs is getting to know the people on his new, third-shift beat, but he'd prefer they not know too much about him-or the painful past that drove him away from New Mexico to start fresh in small-town Stratton, PA.

All he wants is peace, a manageable routine, and time to fix up his project home. There's no room in his broken heart for a new relationship. It's crowded with too many memories. But there's something about the Dixie's Cup short-order cook, who's flirty one minute, distracted the next, that piques Sam's interest.

Part-time cook, part-time hardware salesman and full-time handyman Rey King lives to work-but not because he loves it. Relationships? No time. Until one glance at Sam's haunted eyes sends a plumb line straight to his wary heart.

One afternoon of impulsive, no-strings sex begins to grow into a cautious friendship. But when Rey is seriously injured protecting a friend, the cracks in their already shaky foundation begin to show. Falling in love wasn't in either man's recovery plan...and this time, the risk could be too great.

                                                                     4 STARS

I liked this story for the most part, I enjoyed the characters and getting to know them, though I have to say the storyline dragged just a little for me, as I'm not a huge fan of so much drama. But it was a emotional love story with a lot of angst, the stress and drama of Rey's life surprised me, he had to be such a strong character to even keep surviving. This guys life just plain sucks and even I couldn't see where it was going and how he would get out from under so much, you know?

Sam on the other hand is such a sweetheart that just wants to help people, he's been through literally hell and back, his character had me crying so many times. I just wanted to wrap him up and hug him. Now the main difference between these two MC's is I got why Sam is the why he is, but I couldn't get into Rey's character at all, he kinda pissed me off to much. And the whole ending I didn't get I mean WTH? is up with the brother HUH? it lost me there. I will still recommend because it was a really good story I'm just not one for major angst, and that tends to turn me off of a story most times.

Unassumed (Tate Pack #4) by Vicktor Alexander

Unassumed (Tate Pack, #4)
Howell Lourge Marshall wasn't afraid of anything. He wasn't afraid of having a mate, he wasn't afraid of having kids and he especially wasn't afraid of falling in love. He just chose not to have those things.

Michael Prosace has already lost his pack and most of his family because he chose to live his life as a proud, though deaf, gay man who is also transgender. He is almost completely satisfied with his life, so when he finally meets his mate Howell, he just knows that his life was finally going to be complete.

But Howell is from the Tate pack and trouble seems to follow these shape-shifting cowboys around. Before Howell and Michael will be able to explore their deep feelings for each other and a connection that goes back further than they expected, the two men will have to deal with danger, bigotry, murder, and six unexpected additions to their very unconventional family.

I love to read a book that teaches me something, I know I've said that before but I'm a firm believer that reading of any kind will expand your mind. And it excites me when I feel like I have been taught either something useful or taught about someone that makes me stop and evaluate my previous thinking in which this story did. I haven't ever really stopped to think about the letters in LGBTQ seriously until I started to read this series. In which case Mr. Alexander has not only taught me some amazing things but made me understand who these letters stand for as individuals. So I applaud you Mr. Alexander and hope to be able to teach my own children the lessons you have brought to my attention.

Now to talk about this book, I loved it, the challenges for Michael alone would have had me on the edge of my seat till the end, throw in Howell's issues and it was such an awesome ride that I felt I needed to finish it. Usually a mate storyline goes a certain way, but I have to say with the Tate Pack series I have been taken off guard more times than I can count and totally enjoyed it each time. I just bought the anthology that I believe is next in this series but can't wait for more. I Recommend

Mobsters and Miracles by Lavinia Lewis

To complicate matters further, out and proud Lucas has fallen hard for his straight partner Danny. But is Detective DeRossa as straight as he led Lucas to believe or could he return his partner's affections?

                                                                             4.5 STARS

This was such a fun take on the partners to lovers story, I absolutely enjoyed it. Lucas' character cracked me up, I swear this book would be an awesome tv series no kidding mainly because Lucas is trying all he can to hide his attraction to his partner (badly I might add) all while trying to find the bad guy and the poor guy gets the shit beat outta him, blown up, and even shot at time or two it's amazing the guy can even move at all much less have some seriously HOT sex.

Danny is the laid back, calm, collective "straight" partner, I'm serious about the TV series it was that good of a story. The attraction between the two is HOT but it's also a friendship that is so close you can see why & how they fall in love with each other. And the action holy shit it's really a miracle that these two survive, considering how many times they're shot, blown up or beaten. But there's enough humor in this fun exciting love story so that it wasn't too intense. I would love to read more of Danny & Lucas, I Recommend.
