Battle Buddy by SJD Peterson

Battle Buddy
Army boot camp can push an individual to their limits, both physically as well as mentally. However, for those who pursue the coveted black and gold medal of an Army Ranger, boot camp is a walk in the park compared to the harrowing ordeals experienced during this elite training. It is by far, the toughest and most demanding and by the end, the trainees are left exhausted and emaciated.

For Shane Tucker, a young man with a secret, trying to escape life in a small town, boot camp and Ranger school was the easy part. Being constantly paired up with the gorgeous and cocky Owen Bradford, who had no concept of personal space, was hell on earth.

This my first book by SJD Peterson and it won't be the last, I enjoyed this book of course the sex was major HOT! but i liked the storyline too. I hate DADT I'm so glad it's been repealed cuz everybody should be able to live their lives without fear and recriminations.

Tuck joins the army to get away from small town stifling and bible thumping parents, he does the usual fighting against being gay. Then he meets Owen and struggles with his desire for years.

Owen on the other hand is determined that Tuck is like him and wants him bad, so he sets out to make Tuck admit it.

The story takes us on that ride, it was a really good story and I recommend it.

Custom Toys Made To Order by Gabrielle Evans (Sexually Awkward 1)

The closest Atticus Drake has ever come to a sexual experience is designing toys for kinky paranormals. Shy and awkward, his forays into physical relationships have never gone past first base. So, when he finds himself mated to the crown prince of the entire vampire race, he's pretty sure it's fate's cruel joke.

Prince Salem Constantine is running out of time. With his one hundredth birthday quickly approaching, he needs to choose a consort if he hopes to become king. Atticus is definitely the mate he's been waiting for, but there's one problem. Atticus isn't a vampire.

The mandates are clear, and Salem needs not only a consort, but a vampire consort. Atticus refuses to turn, and Salem has no intentions of giving up the sexy panther. Can the two find a solution before time runs out? Or will they be forced apart because of the laws governing Salem's world

Gabrielle Evans has a new series SQUEEE!!!!!!! Yeah I'm a little excited ok I'm alot excited. Ms. Evans never disappoints me and this one is awesome. As with any series the first book is always the hardest because you have to set up the world that your story is in. But Ms. Evans always seems to make it so easy without losing sight and feel of her main characters, thats not easy to do but she does it wonderfully.

Atticus is a virgin panther who started a custom made sex toy business for paranormals with 5 of his friends right outta college. On top of that all 6 of them are shy and from what i gathered kinda nerdy, but i think thats completely sexy. Anyway he's got an order for something special for the Prince of vampires to make. He meets the Prince at his club, after he drinks a drink he shouldn't have, and the Prince saves him. I liked their chemistry together and loved the secondary characters.

Prince Salem anyhow is gonna be King soon cause his father the king is dying and he has to have a consort by his birthday, which is in 22 days. He meets Atticus and all hell breaks lose. It's a cute story with some drama, not enough for a box of tissues,Hot sex, and a great love story, them getting to know one another I liked that part the best. Plus you get a set up for the plot line for future books loved it.

I can't wait for the next one, it's already pre-ordered. I recommend this book and this series I think it's gonna be awesome.

The Seahorse Who Loved The Wrong Lynx by Scarlet Hyacinth (Mate or Meal 8)

The Seahorse Who Loved the Wrong Lynx (Mate or Meal, #8)Best friend or beloved? All his life, seahorse Layton believed he loved lynx shifter Corbin. But when his body and heart reach out to Corbin’s brother, Preston, instead, he is left in absolute confusion, humiliated and afraid of his own emotions.

For years, Preston has known Layton is his mate. The only thing more painful than his mate choosing his brother over him is the knowledge of Layton’s pain at Corbin’s rejection. But then, his friendship with Layton suddenly becomes more. The knowledge that it could still be a one-time thing hurts more than Layton’s platonic affection ever did.

When as a result to their passionate encounter, Layton becomes pregnant, erratic emotions explode. What will happen when the reason behind Layton’s confusion is revealed? Can Preston and Layton overcome the threat on their hearts, lives, and families?

                                                            4.75 STARS

This one has become my favorite so far in this series, mainly because I liked the fact that it wasn't Corbin who was Layton's mate but Corbin's brother Preston. It gave the plot a completely different storyline to work with and made it unique enough that I can't wait till the next book in this series, Cause I can't tell where it could go now.

Layton is a seahorse shifter, who has always thought that lynx shifter Corbin was his mate, so he tries his best to get Corbin's attention, which doesn't work. After a confrontation with Corbin and whatever slut of the week he's with now, Layton gets into a car accident which brings his true mate Preston to find him. Things escalate and they end up having sex. Layton freaks out and runs home for 2 months, only to find out he's pregnant.

Preston on the other hand is a lynx shifter who is pining after his mate but always knew his mate wanted his brother. Things happen and it all comes out that Layton was put under a spell that kept him from knowing that Pres was his mate, and the story takes off to find who and why a spell was cast.

I liked this story alot, mainly because it didn't hold to any of my preconceived notions. And it gave me a whole new plot line to check out. I love this series Mate or Meal and if you haven't read it you should I like it. I recommend this book.

                                                   4.25 STARS

I gotta say this book cracked me up. I love that in a book, when even if it's got some serious plot to it that it can still bring me comic relief. Of course this being a Lynn Hagen book I loved it, that being said it is a really good book, I like meeting all the secondary characters and the flow of this series which Ms. Hagen is a master at. I love all her series' and have thoroughly enjoyed each one so far.

Vaughn is a bouncer at a BDSM vampire club The Manacle, he see's his mate come into the club for a free meal and the story takes off from there. It's not smooth sailing by any means, they have lots of obstacles in the way. Like some of Vaughn's non vampire friends not knowing he was gay, and the trouble that that causes.

Conner on the other hand is an adorable, clueless farm boy, that got kicked out of his house because he was gay. He's homeless and in the previous book meets Jersey who gives him a card, and tells him to come by for a free meal, he's alone and doesn't know what to do. Fate brings him Vaughn.

I loved this story the funniest stuff comes from the things that get read from the internet about Vampire hunting hence the title. Its a fun enjoyable book I recommend it. also this series is great you should read it also.

A Private Gentleman by Heidi Cullinan

A Private Gentleman
To seal their bond, they must break the ties that
Painfully introverted and rendered nearly mute by a heavy stammer, Lord George Albert Westin rarely ventures any farther than the club or his beloved gardens. When he hears rumors of an exotic new orchid sighted at a local hobbyist’s house, though, he girds himself with opiates and determination to attend a house party, hoping to sneak a peek.

He finds the orchid, yes…but he finds something else even more rare and exquisite: Michael Vallant. Professional sodomite.

Michael climbed out of an adolescent hell as a courtesan’s bastard to become successful and independent-minded, seeing men on his own terms, protected by a powerful friend. He is master of his own world—until Wes. Not only because, for once, the sex is for pleasure and not for profit. They are joined by tendrils of a shameful, unspoken history. The closer his shy, poppy-addicted lover lures him to the light of love, the harder his past works to drag him back into the dark.

There’s only one way out of this tangle. Help Wes face the fears that cripple him—right after Michael finds the courage to reveal the devastating truth that binds them.

                                                               4.25 STARS

Though I'm not a fan of historicals, not many can tell a story as good as Ms. Cullinan can. I can't stand prejudices even though I know there are so many even in this day and age, It just gets to me. Anyway I love that none of Ms. Cullinan's characters are not perfect, They may have flaws but we see how they have had to overcome and adapt to survive, and the struggles that they have to go through to get to the place where their happy and have some peace anyway.

Michael is a prostitute, and he's as blind as a bat without his glasses, so he doesn't wear them to a party purely for his looks. And makes a mistake of coming on to Wes, when he thought he was someone else, The story starts there and these two have many many obstacles to got through just to be with each other.

Wes or Lord Albert one and the same, has a severe stuttering problem and gets panic attacks from his fear of stammering. He's got an over bearing father and gets bullyed alot. He finds a common ground with michael and they start an interesting relationship. Throw in past problems for both characters, an opium addiction, and disturbed father, an adorable nephew and a American lady who wouldn't know what proper was if it bit her in the face, now you got one wild ride, and a great love story.

I think you would like this story I did. I definitely recommend.

Status Dramaticus by Stephani Hecht

Newbie paramedic Dakota knows that the other EMS workers like to call him by his nickname, Status Dramaticus. But it’s not his fault, honestly. Okay, so maybe he got into a huge, overblown breakup with one of his boyfriends while they were on the job. And maybe he’d crashed the rig once or twice or…so, but that could have happened to anybody. The exploding oxygen tank incident was another innocent mistake, too, so why do his co-workers keep hassling him? All Dakota wants to do is make a living and a new life for himself in Flint.

When Charlie is transferred to the Flint Police Department, he’s ready for a change of scenery. While he liked his old city, he was ready to leave all the drama from his family and exes behind. So when he finds himself strangely fascinated by the most dramatic guy in all of Flint, Charlie is both annoyed and at a loss.

Then Dakota finds himself in trouble and Charlie knows he has no choice but to help. Will they survive long enough to find true love, or will the drama meet a sad, sudden end?

Another awesome book by Stephani Hecht, who was the first author I read in the m/m books she got me hooked and thats all I read now. So thanks to Ms. Hecht you are awesome! This book is in the EMS Heat series I happen to love a man in a uniform so it's right up my alley. LOL

Dakota is an EMS Paramedic whom I just fell in love with maybe because I'm klutsy too, But still it just seems he's always in the wrong place at the wrong time, plus he has a twin. I know I'm preving again but anyway. He feels like he's just got a black cloud around him and the other guys have given him the nickname Status Dramaticus which he hates, he's somewhat insecure and his childhood wasn't the greatest. So when he gets into a fender bender with a deer (Damn those evil Jonas Brothers) his rescuer is none other than the Police Officer Charlie.

Charlie recently transfer to the Flint Police Department, stops to help Dakota with his fender bender, and seems to fall head over heels as soon as the paramedic wants to give said deer CPR. Charlie is the master of one night stands, can't get Dakota out of his mind. And decides to change that one night when they meet at a bar.

I loved these two together, they were just too cute and were set up for the next story too. If you haven't read the EMS Heat series do it now it's worth it and the stories are entertaining. I definitely recommend this book.

Continental Divide by Lisa Worrall & LE Harner(Seperate Ways, Book One)

Continental Divide
Detective Remington frickin’ hates the missing persons detail, but a cold fury builds in the pit of his stomach when he realizes that over the past three months six boys have disappeared from the smaller communities that surround the greater Phoenix area. All reported to be runaways looking to escape their shitty lives, but Remy’s starting to put together a different picture and he doesn’t like it one damn bit.

Inspector Jamie Mainwaring stares at the six reports, willing them to make sense. Six boys, six months, all from just outside of London, which meant six different investigations. All of the boys were between the ages of ten and fifteen, all purportedly runaways from dysfunctional families. Something was rotten in Denmark.

There are always runaways. Every small town loses them—every big city collects them. Kids look for freedom and discover they have more to lose than they ever thought possible. London and Phoenix, culture and cowboys, nothing linking these two sprawling metropolitan areas. Nothing except a hit on a computer data search.

Two cops, one a cowboy, the other a Lord. A secret government agency, human trafficking, and a blazing hot mutual distraction.

What the hell have Remington and Mainwaring gotten themselves into?

OMG! I love this book, this story is what I would deem as my favorite book this year! It had everything I wanted, great chemistry between the characters, Hot Sex!, an awesome story plot, and the best yet, another book in this series to come. Only one downfall I could find and that was I've gotta wait till fall to get the next one. Yes, I'm pouting...This was the best story I have read since the Cut & Run series. I was hooked from the first page til the end, and I will be reading it again and again.

Jamie is an Inspector, (why is it everytime i say that, I can't help thinking the pink panther?) who is also an English Lord. But doesn't act like one, he loves his job and gets to know everyones name. Basically he's a good guy with a heart, he ends up working with the American Detective Remy and sparks fly, there's attraction but a butting of heads too. I loved how these authors wove their chemistry, sexuality, and passion for their jobs and this crime into this story.

Then you get American Detective Remington (yes I thought of Remington Steele, whenever I said his name) Jamie calls him cowboy and that's how he comes across, he's tough had a hard life but got a soft spot for kids especially teens on the street. He fights his attraction for as long as he can and there were times I wanted to smack him, but I got why he did the things he does.

I'm telling you if this story was a movie I'd own it! It was a great great story and I will be watching for the next one. If you haven't already got this one read it you will not be disappointed. I laughed, cried and screamed at these characters, they will take you on they're journey with them, so enjoy the ride. I sure as hell did.
