Nazaryth by Lynn Hagen (The Exiled #1)
[Siren Everlasting Classic ManLove: Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, shape-shifters, bondage, HEA]
When Nazaryth finally finds his mate, the clock starts ticking. He has only a few short days to claim Theo before the mating heat drives him insane. By day one he is ready to throw Theo down and rut him like a wild beast. But Theo is refusing Nazaryth, claiming that his mate died years before.
Theo has mourned the loss of his mate, Dorian, for twenty years. He takes things day to day, trying his best to find happiness again. But when a large and handsome stranger claims to be Theo's mate, he runs the other way. There is no way Nazaryth is his mate, and Theo is out to prove the man wrong.
When Theo is taken by the hounds of hell, Nazaryth isn’t far behind in rescuing Theo. But what the commander of the winged beasts finds instead shocks him to his core.
Squee!! A new spinoff series from one of my favs Lynn Hagen Nazaryth is the first book in The Exiled series and so far i likey, of course with any series you get the main explanation of what the series is about, the world, and some of the storyline and where it should go, I have to say this author did and excellent job of pulling me into this world and it being a spinoff of course helps if you've read the previous ones but still I caught onto this one fairly easy.
Theo was adorable but heart wrenching also, as a wolf shifter his mate had passed away previously and he's still in mourning like 10 yrs later( which I get) he makes him self live day after day. Then comes along Nazaryth whose a winged beast. Since the winged beasts were exiled to earth, Nazaryth and twelve others with him settle not to far from Zeus' pack's town. He meets Theo and has 2 days to claim him.
But Theo has already lost his mate, so he doesn't believe it when Nazaryth tells him he is. Throw in some interesting secondary characters and a villian you didn't expect, some other bad guys and ta-da you have one hell of a story can't wait to read the next one. I definitely recommend.
